National Visa Center (Dept of State)ARRGH - Confused about Interview things!!? HELP PLEASE!!
QUOTE (NikkisPrecious @ Dec 28 2007, 08:12 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I have just got the Appointment letter with a few days to spare.. the documents its asking i must bring with me are the usual passport, birth cert etc etc..

BUT

they are saying i need to fill in a DS230 part 2 form which is attached... but actually isn't attached. But didn't i already fill in and complete the DS230.. why would they need it again? Or is this to be treated like all the other things they are asking for that i can't supply because they already have???

Confused really sad.gif

They've got nearly EVERYTHING on the checklist there already.. should i ignore this ds230 bit or fill out another to take with?

Thanks in advance guys

They must have made a mistake on this one. My letter does not mention this at all. Like a previous post has said just take the part 2 with you just in case...

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionAddress Change and Removal of Conditions

Hi Guys,

I have a question that is probably pretty simple for some of you. I honestly don't know the answer to this one.
I received my 2-yr GC in April 2008 and I just recently received a reminder to remove conditions.
In March 2009 I bought a house and moved. Was I supposed to notify USCIS of my change? My old address is for an appartment that my in-laws own. I still get the mail but I wasn't sure if when I file with a new address I will get in trouble for not notifying about my wherabouts between March and now?
Should that be a concern at all?
Thank you so much for your help!

I was in a very similar situation. I filed AR-11 (Change of Address) form online and submitted by I-751 using my new address. I received my NOA1 at my new address. I think these steps should be sufficient.

Hi,

I have just received the letter stating I will need to file my I-751 soon. However, USCIS currently have my old address on their records. Do I need to call USCIS to change the address or should I just send the form with the new address without informing USCIS. I am thinking they should be able to tell who I am from the A#...

Nilz

From the way you are wording your message, it seems like you filed a change of address but they still don't seem to have the address updated. If so, then don't worry. I had the same scenario and I heard from several people that they had the same. When it is time to file your I-751, just use your new address and file to the proper service center.

Again, this is only if you did file change of address form.

Our reminder letter was addressed to our former residence and that reminded us to change our address with USCIS because we had just movd and not done that yet. I was concerned then, when sending in the I-751, especially because our NOA took 9 days to get here. However, they have the correct address - as they should since it's on all of the paperwork (and we eve noted our former address when they asked).

I'd wait to see what happens.

Hi filed my AR-11 form online a couple of days ago, just to note the address change. I am trying to call them just to make sure also, but not having much luck in getting through to them at the moment.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionAddress Change - USCIS still have old address
QUOTE (Anh map @ Nov 26 2009, 03:14 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Follow the instructions for change of address. It's not the adjudicator's responsibility to update the system. Returned mail from an old address can cause delays in your case. https://egov.uscis.g...i/go?action=coa

Just an extra layer to be sure the address change is in the system, go ahead and mail in the hard copy of the AR-11 Electronic receipt to the London, KY address shown on the AR-11 form ( http://www.uscis.gov.../form/AR-11.pdf ).

Thank you all for your help!!

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionEvidence on Marriage

Thanks for your quick response..

I am still making copies because they are so many papers..

I have:

1. Copies of my husband's and mine DL.
2. Copies of bank statements joint accounts.
3. Copies of our life insurances with both of our names as 100% beneficieries.
4. Copies of utitily bills on both of our names. However just the front page of those because the telephone bill has 10 pages by itself. Is that ok?
5. Copy of his gc.
6. Copies of 2008 and 2009 joint income tax return
7. Copy of our car loan on both of our names.
8. And most importantly, copy of our baby's birth certificate.

Is this enough eveidence? Do we need to send copies of pictures too? Also, on bank statements they usually have like 6 or 7 pages for each month, do you think its necessary to copy each sheet or just the front page where it has our address and both or our names in there?

Thank you so much for the help!!

Liz,

This is pretty much what I sent. The only additional items were our mortgage statements, deed of the house (these are strong pieces of evidence), some e-tickets of flights where we have travelled together and auto insurance documents showing both of our names.

Regards

Nilz

So all you have to show is a stamp in your passport? Sorry - can't help with whether that's usual procedure, does seem odd to take it away from you since that is basically the only thing you have proving you're legally here to carry in your wallet.

I would agree.

Hi,

I received my NOA1 from VSC on the 3rd January 2007. Just thinking of registering to the online case status. My wife has petitioned for me, so is it possible for me to register or my wife has to register.

I read through some of the forums and I keep seeing "Touched" on some of the timelines. What does this mean and how do you know when you casr hase been "touched"?

Thanks

Yeah, it really did. Definitely one of the fastest I've seen go through.

I suppose I don't have too much to complain about at this point, but I do wish my I-130 would get a move on already!

Wow, that is quick!!! Congratulations!! Anywayz is there anyone here who has filed around January time at Vermont, so at least I know I am not on my own!

I see what you guys mean about timings being different for people. Just soooooo confused!!!

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresShould I apply for a K3 Visa
Hi,

I have now been waiting for 3 months for approval of my I-130 application at Vermont. Currently the processing times are not changing and seem to be stuck on March 12th 2006 for a few months now. Would it be better to apply for a K3 visa and would this be quicker for me to get to the US?

All advice would be appreciated.

THANKS!

Are there any other people who have NOA1 in January and have been approved???? Just like to know approx timescales.

I did a search for CSC (and TSC and NSC who send to CSC all their applications anyway) timelines for January and according to those 17 have been approved while 4 are still waiting, which means that the approval percentage for January filers, who are processed by CSC, is already 81%. So unless you are very unlucky, your I-130 should be approved pretty soon .

I am hoping this is the case!!! Where did you do this search?

I also recieved this notice on 11th May. Not too sure what happens now though. Does my case get reset to receipt date of 11th May or kept as 3rd Jan 2007...really confused now. Does anybody know an exact answer? I changed my timeline and now it says my I-130 should be have been adjudicated by 28 april 2007. Should I be expecting a decision soon or should I be contacting USCIS for some info?

No, your NOA1 date is still the original date on your NOA1 sheet. What you got on May 11 qualifies as a touch, not as an NOA1.

Thanks for the reply. Thats good news, its looks more encouraging at California anywayz...seems to be processing the cases a lot quicker than vermont. I hate all this waiting!!!

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresDoes the clock reset when I-130 transferred to another SC?

I mailed an I-130 to Vermont Service Center for filing on March 30, which they received and signed for on Saturday April 7, now after 1 month of nothing (no checks cashed, no filing receipt, nada), May 10 the check clears and I get a filing receipt not from Vermont, but California! Guess CSC is the I-130 shop right now if you guys have cases transferring too!

Someone that filed around the same time as me (but at the Nebraska Center) had their petition shortly transferred to the CSC. They JUST got the NOA2! It gives me hope that once the CSC gets it, it will be worked on. *FINGERS CROSSED*

Vylex, I just noticed that you and I have very nearly the same NOA1 dates and got transferred to CSC on the same day! Maybe we'll get NOA2'd around the same time as well :)

Heh, cool...maybe we will receive the long awaited NOA2 together (and I hope that time comes SOON!). The race is on. :)
