Philippinesconcerned about CRBA processing time and requirements...
QUOTE (weluvourlittleman @ May 17 2009, 06:58 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Planning to call Air 21 on Tuesday for them to pick-up our son's CRBA package. While organizing all the forms and documents to be submitted, I noticed something on the DS-2029 which my fiance filled out. It's on item #4 of the DS-2029 which ask about the Hour. Our son was born at AM. Instead of checking "AM", my fiance checked on "PM". So, that freaked me out and told him how upset I was with his mistake. Mga sis, is it ok to make corrections? Can I just white out the box for "PM" and check "AM"? Could this be a problem? Has anyone experienced or have done corrections on any of the CRBA forms? So worried, please advice mga sis on what to do.

Hi! I think u can change it naman, since it was indicated on your son's birth certificate. They will compare it with your child's CRBA application and NSO birth certificate. Make sure the same yun entry mo sa #4 of DS 2029 and sa bc ng baby mo para hindi maconfuse sa ACS.

Just make sure you completed all the requirements before u submit to the embassy to avoid delays. Medyo dyan ako nagkaproblem sa CRBA ng baby ko, specifically un proof of domicile ng fiance mo sa US five years before your child's birth and proof of your relationship. Kindly post your requirements here para we can advise you for additional helpful requirements. smile.gif

Hi bluemist! Thanks again ha. really appreciated your informations regarding CRBA. Sana hindi naman kmi masyado madelay because of the processing. Anyway, I have questions regarding CFO seminar? Exempted ang baby ko sa seminar right? Anong kailangan ko documents of her for that seminar para maisyuhan sya ng certificate? What did u do sa child mo?

Hi again..you are welcome..hndi na need ng anak mo ng cfo kc US citizen..tayo lng need nun sis.

God Bless and Good luck

Ah ok. Oo nga pla. Sana magrant na un application nya. Btw, sis may idea ka ba how long it will take marelease un visa upon submission of additional requirements specifically yun marriage index namin and un CRBA cert ng daughter ko? Matagal kaya yun? Im worried na naman... baka matagalan na naman...

Hi! Thanks so much. you mean hindi ko na kailangan pumunta sa BI for her exit permit since she have her Phil passport already? I just show her both passports to immigration lng? tama ba?

Hi sweetlj...yup u dont need to go to BI in Manila...sa BI sa NAIA mo na lng papakita yung 2 passports ng anak mo.

One more question sis, when they schedule the appointment, are they going to send us an email confirmation or a letter to present at the embassy gate to enter USEM on the day of the interview appointment?

They won't give you confirmation letter or appointment letter..they will call you via phone pra ibigay yung appointment date and time then sabihin mo lng sa guard na pupunta kayo sa ACS for your child's CRBA appointment..dala ka ID mo for entrance.

Good luck!!!!

By the way, make sure your hubby will send you proof of his domicile in the U.S. like his mortgage, credit card bill, military records, school transcripts, tax returns,W-2's for 5 years or 2 before your daughter was born.Importante yang domicile sis kc tlgang binibilang nila.I submitted my hubby's military records, tax returns pati yung mga luma na at yung employment records nya old and current at old and current passport nya, college transcripts,GED,social security earnings, voter's card, old pay stubs.

Pag kumpleto mo yan..smooth lng CRBA ni baby girl mo at ma-approve agad yan.Kung may pic ka ni hubby mo nung bata pa sya na hawig ni baby nyo..dalhin mo sa appointment makakatulong din yun pra wala DNA test...or submit more proofs ng relationship nyo pra ma-satisfy mo consul.

Good luck and sana mapunta kayo sa mabait na consul smile.gif

Thanks so much bluemist! Sana nga smooth lng... Anyway, nainterview na kmi Last April 29. I don't know if they will still schedule us for another interview since marami pa sila hanap na documents especially nga physical presence ng husband ko sa states for five years. Anyway, Nasubmit ko na lahat un additional requirements na hinahanap nila via courier and hopefully by this time they reviewed it na. Sabi kasi sa akin nun pre-screener dun sa ACS kahit un military records lng daw ng husband ko present ko just to prove that he's in the US for five years before our daughter's birth and of course un old passports and current passports nya. Plus i submitted also proof of our relationship before our daughter's conception. But basically more on pictures lng meron ako, emails and letters at saka un notarized passport nya nung time na nandito sya when i got pregnant. Wala na ksi un ticket nya before or even itenerary nya. You think consul will be satisfied with that? (sana naman...) Also i submitted all my pre-natal records as well as hospital receipts/bills. Sana nga smooth na lng lahat... Im worried na kasi... So much on delays na kami. We have to be in the US before my husband's deployment in July.
Thanks again bluemist. I'll let you know if we have any updates with our application. smile.gif

Kasi they have to review first all the documents before ka nila schedule for appointment/interview.

I think they are going to call you for your appointment/interview once they received and reviewed your application na. Call Fedex na para they can schedule you ahead of time.

Hi fellow Mamas! Belated Happy Mother’s day! Sweetlj, we’re on the same boat. I had my interview already but they asked me to submit required documents which happens to be our son's CRBA completed and submit a copy of it before releasing my visa. We just finished gathering all supplemental documents and proofs for our son’s CRBA application. I would just like to ask about submission of the CRBA package kasi sa USEM ko nakuha yong mga forms pagkatapos ng interview ko sa consul, she instructed me to proceed to ACS unit. Yung taga-ACS, he gave me the CRBA forms, did you drop off in person the CRBA application package or did you call AIR 21 for pick-up and have them deliver it to ACS-USEM instead?

Hi weluvourlittleman! What i did is... When the consul said that my daughter has claim for citizenship I went to ACS right away. Then ACS gave me two application forms. One is DS 2029 which is the application for CRBA and the other one is DS 11 which is for the application for US passport. Fill up mo un DS 11 and consent from your husband if he's in the states. Yung CRBA naman... let your husband fill it out and notarized it. Important dyan is yun physical presence ng husband mo sa US five years before your child's birth. What I did naman for that application forms... I called the ACS sabi nila i can submit those forms personally. So I did. But, when I'm in the USEM-ACS section they cannot accommodate me right away cause those who have schedule for interview is their prioritized. It takes the whole day at the ACS bago kami natapos and interivew. So advise ko sayo, call their courier to pick up your applications and documents so that they can schedule you for appointment/interview for your son. (Just to avoid what happened to us there...) Also, complete all the documents needed to avoid delays... (learned from my experience). PM me if you have more questions. Goodluck!

Yup,the pre-screener is right kahit yung military records lng ni hubby mo showing yung 5 years Physical Presence nya here in the U.S. bago pinanganak daughter nyo..about sa notarized passport nya..ok na din yan kc nka-show nman yung entry and exit stamp nya sa Pinas proving na nandyan sya that time..nag-submit din ako nyan...Im sure approve na yan si daughter mo...ma-satisfy na cla nyan.wait mo na lng call ng ACS for appointment nya.Dont worry all in 1 month lng yun or maybe less pa..about ur interview..pag ok na CRBA baby mo at tanggap mo na CRBA at passport nya..balik ka USEM and punta ka sa Window 37 to tell them na ok na yung CRBA daughter mo,pakita mo lng yun then papakita ng in-charge dun sa CO na nag-interview sau then release na nila visa mo.

May Phil.passport na daughter mo dba?Bago kayo alis pinas..punta kayo sa BI..bring his 2 passports,Philippine and US passport, tell them ur daughter is exiting with 2 passports pra wala na exit permit,They will tell you there..kc 2 passports which are Philippine and US makes your daughter dual-citizen.

Good luck at sana 2mawag na ACS sau A.S.AP!!!!

Hi ulit bluemist! Thanks so much talaga... this really helps me alot. You guys lift my spirits. Im wishing nga na tawagan na nila ako ASAP para malaman ko na result. Hope this wont take too long and I hope that they're satisfied na sa mga documents i submitted. Yup. meron na Phil. passport daughter ko. Anytime pwede kami punta sa BI as long as we have her passports na? Passports lng kailangan ko present sa knila for my daughter's exit permit? Thank you so much talaga... I hope we can finish all this process within this month or before end of this month. smile.gif

Hello to all VJ members!

Im basically new here, but i started reading visa journey since March. I read some forums and get some ideas about processing of our petition together with my daughter.

I have concerns like CBRA processing?

Me together with my daughter had an interview last April 21. The interview went well from the pre screening to CO. Until the CO noticed that my husband is already US citizen. She asked why we didn't file our daughter's CBRA for her to be citizen already. I told her that it takes time and we dont have much ideas about the processing etc. She continued typing on her pc until she said that my daughter is already a US citizen. She said that we have to go to the ACS (american consular services) to verify my daughter's citizenship.
At window 37, called my daughter's name and the guy in that window gave us instructions to go to ACS and he gave back our passports. Then we proceed to the ACS... from there... at window D, the guy gave us forms to fill up and said that gather all the requirements that we can and gave it back to the embassy. Forms are: for CBRA and for passport.

I have questions regarding the CBRA. Anyone ever had the same situation like us? My concern is the process of CBRA? How long does it take? also with the passports. Im supposed to submit all the additional requirements they needed next week cause im still waiting for my marriage index from NSO.

Btw, i forgot to mention that our case was expedited from NVC to USEM. Because my husband had an order for his deployment in July that's why im very much worried about the processing of CBRA. Can anyone help me and give me some inputs regarding our case? It will be appreciated. smile.gif

Thanks in advance to all members who took time reading our case.

Thanks so much!!! smile.gif

Just complete all the requirements right away and bring it to USEM so you get your schedule for interview. Some applicants completed the whole process in a month. Just complete all the requirements and evidences to avoid delays.

http://manila.usemba...03.html#support <-- I hope this will help you.

Since you were already married and if your daughter has the physical features of her dad i think theres a small chance that they will request for DNA Testing.

Just make sure you have all the evidences needed to prove the relationship of the child and her father. (Child's BC, your Marriage Cert., your family photos, etc.) And your husband physical presence in the US. (Military records, BC, passport etc.)

Just search for other CRBA experiences in VJ.

Thank you so much for additional inputs. I'd just called the ACS... and yes they told me to bring all the documents that i have in hand so that they can execute my daughter's application. Philippinesconcerned about CRBA processing time and requirements...

Thanks so much!!! smile.gif

I was wondering if anybody knows the answer to this. My Fiancee's cousin told us
for her Medical and interview they mailed her the appoiontment dates. She didn't have
to call them to shcedule it. Has anybody else had this experience ??

She said they got the letter from the Embassy telling them the date and times to be there.

Thanks,
Charles

whether the embassy mails a letter depends on what type of visa you are getting. for a CR/IR visa, NVC schedules the interview. For the K type visas the beneficiary will do it once the case is complete at the embassy (all Paperwork submitted) and the Medical is finished. There is no need to schedule the medical it is a walk in process, if you don't have the interview letter you can just use the NOA-2 instead. Just remember not to do the medical too early because the results are only good for 4 months. After you have all paperwork submitted to the Embassy you should get a letter (email) instructing you what is next for a K visa type.

My visa is cr1 Just want to ask about the kinds of vaccines they give you and how long it takes each vaccines?
thank you

Hello!
Usually the medical exam takes 2 days. The physician assigned to you will assist you on how many vaccines you will be receiving. You will undergo first for immunization interview so that they will know if you have any vaccination records or if you undergo any vaccination before your medical exam. From there... you will be advised by the doctor which vaccine/s you will be receiving. You will receive the vaccine on the second day of you medical exam.

Goodluck and Godbless!

Thank you very much for your advice. I will go ahead and make an affidavit on my pc and have it notarized and send her the form I downloaded too since I vave already filled it out. I guess it can't hurt to have more than one affidavit of parentage. By the way how are things going with your process? Take care and thanks again. Mike

Welcome. We just submitted last week our additional documents via courier. Actually, another set of documents. And now, we're waiting a call from ACS. Hopefully everything's okay and hopefully they approve it.

Thank you very much for your help. Did your fiance just make an affidavit on the computer and have it notorized?I actually did find a downloadable form for Affidavit of Parentage. Found it on google. The form is from the U.S embassy. Here is the link for it below. I know that you don't need it but it may help someone else. Thanks again.

Welcome. My husband did computerized affidavit of parentage and notarized in the US. Actually, he also found that form and he filled it out but the prescreener in the ACS rejected it. I don't know why. That's why he made another notarized affidavit of parentage plus the completed form of DS 2029. But I don't know with your case. Maybe you could try that also it might help you guys. Goodluck!

Hey guys, Have a question for ya. My fiance has her crba interview coming up on June 16th. I want to make sure that she has absolutely everything that she will need. I have already sent her the DS-3053 form: Statement of Consent for Issuance of U.S passport and the DS-2029. Had them both notorized of course. Sent my birth certificate, military discharge papers DD214, passport, divorce decree etc...I have read the Legitimation Requirements in detail. I guess my question is in regard to evidence of parentage. It states, If the applicant was born out of wedlock to a U.S citizen father, the father must submit an affidavit containing the following information:

A) Acknowledgement of paternity of the child
cool.gif Agreement to provide financial support to the child until child reaches the age of 18, and the father's whereabouts/location, during the approximate time of conception of the child.

The second part is easy to confirm. I have my passport with entry/exit stamps. Ok..finally my question. Has anybody submitted the affidavit? Do I just type up a letter acknowledging paternity of our child and agreeing to support her until she reaches 18 then have it notorized or is their a specific form for this. If so, I sure can't find it. Anyone that has done this I would really appreciate your input and advice on how to proceed with this so I can get it completed. Thanks so much for your help.

Mike

Hi Mike! Yes! You have to do a letter of affidavit of parentage indicating that you are ---
1) acknowledging the child;
2) agree to provide a financial support until she reaches 18.
3) Also you have to indicate where you are specifically the location at the time of your child's conception.

All these three should be seen at your affidavit of parentage and it MUST be notarized.

Hope this would help you.

Goodluck!

Philippinesconfused how it goes.,,Done with visa interview/CRBA
Hi everyone! We' re on CR1 and IR2 and we're done with our immigrant visa interview last April 19, but i don't get any pink slip instead they give me a white paper(MNL-IV-22 Letter with Blue form) indicating that I should submit my Marriage Index and go to ACS for my daughter's CRBA for them to continue our immigrant visa application. I did not pay for the delbros yet cause they return our passports. Also, we're on the process of my daughter's CRBA and we're just waiting for the result of my daughter's application for CRBA. We submitted already all the documents they're asking from us also from my husband to ACS. Were waiting for the next instructions from ACS. Immigrant visa unit said that after verification of my daughter's CRBA then i will submit my Marriage index together with my daughter's CRBA certificate and US Passport if ever she has claim for USC. I'm confuse with the visa delivery fee. Is it okay to pay that right after we completed our lacking documents? Even if we don't have pink slip? Or this case is like Cash on delivery as everyone's experience? Can anyone enlighten my spirits regarding this? For those who experienced like our case i really really need your insight and additional inputs. Much appreciated anyone will leave comments for this post. Thank you so much in advance and Godbless you all. helpsmilie.gif

hello sweetlj..i was reading ur post msg about what happend with ur interview..we have the same situation,my fiance applied for k1 and i had my interview last april 28,after my interview they gave me 2 white papers with that(MNL-IV-22)instead of gettin a pink slip, the girl told me to submit our baby's application for CRBA and application for us passport, then she gave me my passport back and told me that they will just send my visa along with our daughter's crba n us passport..i haven't send the application since am still waiting for her nso birth certificate, but once all the requirements are complete i'll just call fedex to pick up the application..the girl told me that just bring my passport on the day of our daughter's interview n give it back to her..about those white papers she gave u,have them photocopy and then on the day that u will submit the crba n ur marriage index put those along with the additional requirements they are asking and with the crba application, dont forget to include a photocopy of those so they would know that ur visa is on hold..i will keep u posted.

Hi MikenKyhen! Thanks for reading my post. At least now I know that i'm not the only one whose in this situation. Anyway, We're done on my daughter's interview for US passport and CRBA but i don't know if they would still schedule us for another interview since they're asking for additional requirements with regards to my husband's physical presence in the states. (I hope no more followup interview). Btw, about the white paper MNL-IV-22. ACS get the original copy of mine. You think is it okay to present the photocopied MNL-IV-22 letter to the Immigrant Visa Unit if we're going to submit our additional documents?
How old is your daughter? Is your fiance here? I think much easier for you if your fiance is with you if you were going to apply for your daughter's US passport/CRBA. So that he can help you for the application process. (That's what I observed in the ACS when we had our interview.) Anyway, just complete all the documents and submit them right away for you to have schedule ahead. PM me if you have any questions with regards to our case. Keep me updated also with your case and I will too. Godbless to both of us. smile.gif

You do mean air21 correct? USEM does not use delbros anymore.

If you did not pay for the delivery fees upfront then 2 things can happen.

1. When you submit requested documents they can tell you to fill out the air21 forms and pay.

2. Fill out the air21 forms and not pay, VISA will be delivered through COD.

Either way the USEM and air21 will make sure they will get their money smile.gif

Hi! Yeah. i mean the Air21. Oh i see... Thanks alot. Really appreciated. smile.gif
