oh well the club is back to life again

i was thinking that we should officially announce the death of this club due to the lack of replies and conversations .
new week is here and we still hope we will get some good news as we really really really need them .

Yes Disconnection, sorry haven't updated things yet.
He went back in front of the board at Qena and had to pay out what I considered an outrageous amount of money. :blink:

In the end they said to come back in 10 days to pick up the travel form!!! Yay!!!! Of course, I won't be happy until that paper is in his hot little hand!!!
Right now he is in Cairo getting paperwork ready for his business back home....One day at a time..

Wow This is awesome .The first thing Insha'Allah i will do when i will move to USA i will take my queen to Orlando / Florida '' Disney land '' yeahhhhhhhhh . We have been planing for that trip as a honey moon since 2007 LOL .She is so excited and she always checking hotels sites and Disney's tickets .We supposed to go to disney in April 2009'' Thanks to the embassy ''. I hope that we can meet somehow .It would be fun .

Well yeah maybe i feel kinda good now .But i could be better that's for sure .It has been almost a year for me and still no visa .Sometimes i ask my self what the heck is going on ? why the heck its taking all that long ? I never ever thought that it will take that long .Unfortunately i can not speed up that process .So i hope that they will be done with that soon .

I can only imagine the frustration you are feeling. I have a friend who is married to a girl in Canada and they were working on his spousal visa and he ended up waiting for 3 years before they approved him. 3 years, 1 daughter and 2 interviews later. He just got to Canada within the last 2 weeks. All of his AP was due to what work his father did. It didn't even have anything to do with him, but just who was in his family. That just shows you that when they investigate, they look at everyone who may know you.

I called the embassy today and the guy there was kinda nice to me .He told me that the case is still pending AP .The new AP started on Jan 13 he says .I was like are we any closer to the end of that process ? He says we are waiting for the result from DC as you waiting for it .I told him that when we call DOS they always say that my case is pending in Egypt not in USA .He says they don't see everything on their computers as i told you before '' That guy know me so well now LOL '' and they say that to you cause your file is in Egypt not in USA but we do that AP automatically .I was like please can you answer my only question ? Is it a name check ? He was like well as you know that the CO told us to don't say any details about the AP but cause you have been for long i will answer your question yeah its name check .
So i was right guys i knew it .I asked him if the CO can deny me after all of that waiting he says its kinda hard and rare to deny someone after all of that waiting .

So guys I'm sure now its name check .And there is nothing more i can do about it .

I just hope that they will done with that soon so i can be with my love .She needs me now more than any time else .

I think you hit the 6 months bro .I really wish you the best and i hope that you will hear good news soon .Hang in there bro its just matter of time .

Hey everyone!! Well had to cancel my hubby's flight to the US. He has to go back again to the military office the day AFTER he was suppose to leave. Luckily I got majority of the money back for the plane ticket so I can get another one in April... :whistle:

Still can't believe after all this to get a visa that Egyptian military won't release him!!! :angry:

Well my husband went and got the second report he needed. He said that they really gave him a hard time for it. Lots of signatures and had to take some photos of him too. He is definitely NOT in a good mood. Tomorrow he will take everything to Qena and find out what else and how much...
I can't believe that we made it through the US portion of the visa only for the military to give a such a hard time... :unsure:

Nope they would caught that .they will find out about that when he try to get a permission to leave the country .so before they give him that kinda permission they check their doc so they found out that they recalled him and he did not responded and he did not show up .So now as i told you before he will have to pay some fine .Which i guess it will be about 500 LE '' 100$'' for each recall .so if they recalled him twice its going to be 1000 LE '' About 90 $'' ........

Its not a big deal he will get that permission after he pays the fees .It just might take sometime .

I wander what that is? Ahmed finished his military on monday, but before his release he had to go to the police station to show them his papers i believe. I know also on his ID it says he is still a student and he said he needed to go and update that as well. Today he went to get the photos for his passport and will go and apply for that tomorrow and then meet with the same lady that did our translations on his birth cirtificate and his police record. Is there something Im missing?

Ok, I finally got the gist of it all. Come to find out when my husband went to get his release from the military, something he needs to leave the country, he was told that he was called BACK to the military many many years ago, and he NEVER responded to the letter. :blink:

He never got the letter! Anyways what he was told what he had to do to get it cleared up is..go to Cairo and get some kind of report from the Ministry of the Military, then go to some other office in his hometown and get another report, then go back to where he originally went with BOTH reports and pay a penalty fine THEN he can leave the country. :blink:

What I don't understand is that he went to this place(I'm not sure where that was..) last August or September and got an original discharge certificate from the army that he sent to me for the NVC. Now if he was supposedly AWOL, wouldn't they have caught that then??????? Or how convenient that they caught it now because he has an immigration visa to here?
I told him just pay the fine and get on with it. InsA all will be good. :innocent:

I really am not sure that i understand what you talking about .But it could be one of two i guess .First he was under conditional exemption for maybe 3 years and he did not update his status so he will have to do that now .Second maybe he got some recalls from the military '' That's if he was serving before '' and if so yeah he will have to pay about 100 $ for each recall from the military .

Thanks for yours and disconnects input. He definitely all ready did his 2 years of service for the military so I think that it must be some kind of recall status. He is in Cairo now and got some kind of report ordered and he is suppose to go back tomorrow to pick it up. Then he goes back home and gives them the report and has to pay some kind of penalty fee. And considering the amount it looks like a couple of years worth.. :wacko:

I don't know, I still think it's the government giving him a hard time because of having the CR1 visa. We just hope all will be smoothed out befre the 19th. I sure would hate to have to change his tickets...Keep us in your prayers. I still have you all in mine that March will be your month!!! :thumbs:

Ok another update. Yesterday we booked my husbands flight for March 19. That way it'll give him some time to wrap things up before he gets here. He went this morning to get the paper he needs from the military so he can leave the country. :blink:

Ok I am sure he knows what he needs. Well, he gets to the office and they said that he was suppose to do some kind of paperwork a couple of years ago and he never mailed it in. :huh:

I'm not sure what that means BUT he is now on the train or insha'allah all ready back in Cairo so he can get what ever paperwork he was suppose to turn in so he can get what he needs to leave Egypt. He was also told that he has to pay a penalty fee because of not turning in whatever report he was suppose to do.
I had a hard time understanding what he was talking about. He is really upset about this because after all the work we did to get him here, it's not the USA that is keeping him from coming but his own country.

Tomorrow i will hit the 11 months of waiting and still no visa .
AP is really the hardest and the worst part of that journey .
I hope that i will wake up from that nightmare with visa in hand soon .
3 days left in Feb and probably we wont hear anything in them cause its the embassy's weekend .
So i hope that March will be our lucky month and we all will have our visas .

I don't think he was an Arab but he was an American but he was talking to her husband in Arabic cause it seems like her husband was not totally understanding him .

He definitely didn't look american, but then he probably was american. And yes he talked both arabic and english. He actually asked me if I spoke Arabic and I told him no. So he turned and started talking Arabic to my husband. I kind of got the impression he wanted to talk to my husband without me knowing what he was saying.

Call DOS, I'm pretty sure you'll find out the mandatory means that you are in the DC checks. Hopefully it'll be over soon.

When you say call DOS, is that the NVC or another part of the Dept of State you are calling?

Some embassies ''Including USA embassy in Cairo '' have link on their websites for pending cases .For people who are under AP so they can check their cases online .To see if they get outta AP or not .
So i tried to check on my case status online to see if there is any updates but that link did not work .i wonder why ?!!
So i asked you guys if anyone of you check on the case status !!!

They also have the website with the upcoming interviews. The last time it was updated was 12/13/09. I sent them a "gentle reminder" email that it needed to be updated and I got the standard thank you and we will be updating shortly email, and still not updated. :blink:

I wanted to thank you all for sharing your stories and experiences here. My husband has his interview scheduled on the 22nd of February and I am going to be there with him for it, Insha'Allah. I figured I might as well go and be with him during this time since the possibility of having AP/AR afterwards is very strong. And hopefully it will help with the interview too! :thumbs:

Help!...4 page RFE received

I did speak with a tier 2 officer when I called yesterday he is the one that said..."That is weird, I don't know where they got that from.....our mistake" then he went on to say "Just write a little note explaining what you have just told me that he was never in the US or even outside of his country and that nowhere on your petition does it state otherwise, and provide his exact wherabouts for that time and it will be ok"... That seems too easy to me, so I am definitely going to dig much further and speak with higher personel before responding.

As for my living in Egypt the past 2 years, I provided my travel receipts and copies of all passport pages entry and exit stamps as well as my 1 year residence visa...I also sent lots of pictures and receipts showing the many things we did together throughout that time and copies of my work contracts, my employee evaluation, letters and contact info for my coworkers...not sure what else I can provide to further prove we lived together as husband and wife already for almost 2 years.

It really does sound like they had you mixed up with someone else. Or for some reason they believe that this is not his first application for a visa.
As sadly as it sounds, I think you makng an info pass to the USCIS office in Orlando just might get you some answers. OR you can call again, but this time make a list of all the pages what you want to address and tell them upfront. This is just the I-130 application and it is asking for ALL this extra evidence including the 864. Tell them you want to address each and every thing that is listed on here.
I don't know, but IMO it does sound like they believe your husband may be someone else in their system. Be persistant. Don't take any old answer, just keep talking or being involved until it's cleared up!

Have you gotten hold of anyone in the DOS to ask about the AP? Or called the embassy to inquiry about it? 6 months is a long time to be patient. I would have gotten hold of my congressman or senator for an official inquiry.

Liz, I am so sorry this has happened to your husband. The best bet is for you to keep on fighting for your husband's visa, even if this means you get a 2nd interview and you going to Cairo for the interview. It is better if they see you both together to see how you actually interact with each other.
I too, am older than my husband. I don't know if it is because he looks older or perhaps I look younger? (I wish!) But I do know it helped immensely that I was there with him. In fact, the questions were aimed at me and not my husband. The CO actually laughed because by the time he got to talk to my husband, my husband froze up and couldn't understand him in english so the CO had talked to him in Arabic.
One person had told me in the past, they cannot keep your husband from getting a visa, only delay it to see if he is fraudulent and gives up and moves on to another woman or sticks it out to be with the one he loves.
I wish you two the best and hopefully they will see that your relationship is true.
