IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresI-864 Affidavit of Support Form

He'll need to provide a copy of the payment arrangement and evidence he's actually making the payments. If he doesn't, they'll deduct the full amount of the lien from his current income. If he does, provide the evidence mentioned above, no worries.

Oh yeah theres a set up and everything with the IRS. Arrangements and what not set up through his accountant. So I'll just add the proof of that with his tax returns. I just didn't know if it would adversely affect anything. Thank you so much!

Ok so my dad is sponsoring my husband. He makes three times what he needs to make so I am not worried there but I am concerned that he had some issues with the IRS. He has a steady accountant and his lien is automatically deducted from his check. It is pretty close to being paid off. Is this going to cause issues with him being a sponsor? Any help would be greatly appreciated ^.^

Ok so after months of preparation me and my hubby sent out our I-130 packet. I am already a bundle of nerves. things i knew I signed I am now sitting here going...did you? I think my question I have at this point is if we plan to do consulate processing since hes not in the US, should I have wrote that on the cover letter? Or is there a point in time I could tell them we wanted to do consulate processing? Am I worrying over nothing? I put on my cover letter what we were filing for but I did not write consulate processing. Should i do anything at this point or wait?

Anyone?

I sent out my packet recently and it was accepted and is under initial review at the moment. We just sent a passport photo for each of us attached to our g forms. So a total of two. I figure Ill save the others for later use if they need them or we can go get new ones.

When I filed last year had I filed married I would have been penalized for the child credit I get for my son. So I was advised to file single head of household.

I dont really have an answer for you but I can say this past years tax returns I did the same thing. I receive no financial support from my husband and he is not here or contributing or have an SSN so I just filed what I always file single and head of household. Id like ot think there isnt going to be a major problem and they arent going to look at it with a fine tooth comb since its only to establish the ability to support your incoming spouse.

Trying to get my tax forms all situated but when I go to request them it has two options Account Transcripts or Return Transcripts. Which should I get? Or should I get them both?

Everything about us is pretty straight forward. So I guess it would be a pointless interview. Not sure why we would have been flagged. We have been married a year now. Dating four. Friends for ten. We have numerous pictures, family affidavits I mean everything we sent them. Yahoo convos, skype calls, phone records. All I can do is wait. March will be a year we havent seen eachother but we decided if there is no visible movement on our case by mid Feb we are going to plan a visit in March. I miss my hubby my son misses his step dad. Just praying everyday. Been trying to get paperwork together for NVC so we can fly through that process.

The ISO said Id have a hard copy by the 26th and if not to call back in but I imagine it says the same thing. Driving all that way for a maybe is daunting to think about. Im a single mom til I can get my husband here and funds arent exactly plentiful for gas. I just really dont understand all of this and Im frustrated and down and getting depressed and wondering if anything is going to go right with this. My hubby said I should call tomorrow and see if I get the same info and if I dont I should try to escalate since noone seems to know what they are doing. I guess I could write mycongressman too. I know I havent waited as long as people but it doesnt make my shorter amount of time any less frustrating when noone can give me answers at that place.

SO I got the above email after a call I placed and literally have NO IDEA what it means. Do the petitioners get interviewed at their local office? O.o I thought just my husband would have ot interview in Canada..Is this a bad thing? Does this mean were approved and just waiting for another step? Has anyone else seen this before? This whole thing is nerve racking everytime I call the ISOs have another curve ball to throw me...Its like i wish they could all get on the same page.

I know it goes by like how many people are in the household. I know there is a chart somewhere on the USCIS website that goes over it but I am having a problem finding it. I think ours is like over 30,000 a year so we are getting a co-sponsor since I don't make that much. This was helpful to me for what its worth :)Good luck!

I waited for an ISO...Cause Im paranoid and the CSRS seem like they are more drones then anything. I had one tell me she was going to file a service request for me asked tons of questions then told me oh I cant do it and passed me on. I think they get a little overzealous. It never hurts to contact the psychologist who ran the group. Personally I think you have a strong medical reason. I know people will say there is more dire emergencys but they truly handle it on a case by case basis and one persons form of dire might differ from another. Just keep your chin up and remember to breathe and you will get through this and above this :) And in the end youll have one more thing you can list as getting through even though you may be hampered by your anxiety. Keep us posted. If you dont recieve a response i five days I would definitely call back and wait for an ISO.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures2hourand 30 minute in atlanta airport ?

hi friends
i will go to in december20 , after i was approved in CR1 visa

i will have connection flight in ATLANTA AIRPORT

then normaly my process for POE in atlanta airport

i need know if 2hour half will be sifusant time for processing time for POE?
bfr i go find my next flight to dallas

and thx

Atlanta is a HUGE Airport depending on the gate of your next flight I think you are cutting it very close. If you have any problems getting through Imigration or if lots of plans coming in at the same time. I would push back your connecting flight if I were you

As long as Delta has a later flight to DFW with a seat available, they'll put the passenger on it at no charge. The really big problem is when the flight you miss is the last one of the day. I've had to spend 3 unscheduled overnights since 2006 due to late departing international flights. The most recent was with an itinerary with a 5+ hour layover. The flight left 8 hours late. Go figure.

Not true anymore. This use to be the way Delta and other usa airlines did business but now even on domestic flights if you miss your flight they make you pay the change fee

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresPlease help me

Hello, i have a question. I have this scenario, my wife is in the Philippines and i filled her a petition to get her in US and got approved, then suddenly she got a job in other country, and her petition papers came while she in the other country, what would be the case of that? And what should we need to do if that happens?

Any info would be very helpful.

Thank you so much,
Norman

Why would she apply and take job in another country if your plans was for her to come to the USA?

i see your point and that could be but in the post it states that the consular asked him why he didn't mention that he had a fiancee in the student visa process and then went on to say that this is a bizarre case.

Sounds like maybe he didn't mention your relationship in his student visa but the dates on the spousal one show that he did indeed have a relationship with you while applying for a student visa. How long did he wait after the student visa was denied to apply for a spousal visa? Possibly there is something he's not telling you. Why is he getting all these denials? Maybe they can't approve everyone so because he has a little something that could be called a red flag they are going to use that. That is what I got from your post.

I really wish you all the best with bringing your baby into this world :)

You have nothing to lose by trying for an expedite, if it's denied, it will continue processing as normal, it's highly unlikely it will be delayed :)

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresNVC Expedite Request

I think I might try to do both, I just worry that the USCIS might deny it and it will take longer to get to the NVC but i'd rather try if I can get him here before I give birth.

I understand. i don't want to make you feel down, but you're unlikely to be granted an expedite by USCIS. It has to be a MAJOR reason. My wife has cancer which is why we were granted ours.

You must meet the criteria to be expedited. Click here to read the criteria

If you want to give it a try, you need to call USCIS customer service center, ask to speak to a Tier 2 operative and then request an expedite under medical grounds. They will ask you to obtain medical proof and will give you details about faxing it to them.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresNVC Expedite Request
Just reread your post. Are you wanting to place an expedite request now with USCIS? Or do you plan on waiting for USCIS to approve petition and then expedite with NVC?
Paloma&AdamMaleUnited Kingdom2011-02-07 15:21:00
IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresNVC Expedite Request

Sorry, I'm so lost! How exactly do you send a request to expedite? I am also pregnant, like some of the other posters, but do there always need to be complications with the pregnancy in order to send a request? I am 20 weeks along now, and the USCIS has only touched our case once since they've received it, by the time the 5 month processing time is over I will already be almost 7 months along. Any specific info on what exactly I'd need to send would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Here is everything you need to know, worked great for me!

Email your request to:

NVCINQUIRY@STATE.GOV
Subject line: 'Attn: PI Supervisor Sue - Case Number - Beneficiary name - DOB'

At the top of the email write 'Urgent Expedite Request & Supporting Documents attached'

List all of the supporting documents you have attached as pdf's.

Include both petitioner and beneficiary details. (Full name, date of birth, address, email address, telephone number)

Letter of explanation as to why expedite is requested.

You cannot place an expedite request with NVC until you receive your NVC case number, which you should get a week or so after USCIS approves your petition. Call the NVC and either check the automates voice response service or speak to an agent to obtain your case number.

Good Luck!!

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresTaiwan Police Clearance

If she got the clearance in Taiwan before leaving and hasn't been back since she won't need another one. Unless they suspect there is something wrong with the one she has it should be fine. (Also according to you she wasn't married when she was living in Taiwan so they wouldn't have a record of her under her married name anyway).

However her NBI clearance from the Philippines should have her maiden and married name.

If you're still worried about it:

Police Records

Previous residents of Taiwan not holding a Taiwan passport may apply for a police certificate by writing to:

Foreign Affairs Division
Taipei Municipal Police Department
No. 96, Yen Ping South Road
Taipei, Taiwan

Applicants should enclose a completed application form (available from Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Offices (TECRO) or Republic of China Embassies). There is a processing fee of US$11.00). No police certificate is available for previous residents of Taiwan who were dependents of U.S. military personnel and covered by the Status of Forces Agreement or persons living in Taiwan prior to August 1945."

Thank you, good information. After much searching, I found this link also from Taiwan and I will share it.

Sent of I-130, preparing for next steps....My wife has worked in Taiwan and before she left I had her get a police clearance for her Visa.
