IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Starting New	It looks as though you have recieved good advice after your denial at the embassy, but didn't follow through. We were denied at the embassy as well, and recieved a NOIR (Notice of Intent to Revoke) I got good advice from both NigeriaorBust and Dwheels76, and we just had our second interview and recieved the visa no problem.   Since you've missed your opportunity to rebute the CO's findings, you are looking at a very difficult obstacle to overcome. If you do decide to refile, your case is going to have to be very well prepared. And if you do not include evidence to fight what the orginal findings were, then you will more than likely be denied again. I would suggest you follow the advice given above if you wish to be successful.   It is also very difficult for others to help you unless you get very specific about your case. Our case was originally filed in OCT 15 2007 and it has taken this long for it to get approved becasue it was stuck at the vermont service center for almost a year before getting transferred to the california service center. Hi everybody My wife had her interview in Amman, Jordan 2-2-09, and the interview went great, they only asked her 2 questions, how did u meet your husband? how did ur husband get his american citizenship?, then he told her congratulation! and you will have your visa within 5 days! she paid 5 JDs for Aramex and left the embassy, After 2 days she recieved her passport back with visa and file on 2-4-09 in the Aramex office in amman Its all over I am so happy, my wife will be here on 2-13-09 Thank you all on this website, I used it throughout my journey! Being retired and on social security doesn't matter as far as your parents being your cosponsor for your husband, but they do have to have the allotted amount above the poverty line. It's good that you are preparing ahead of time for the pending paperwork you will be filling out for your husband. I would suggest to look towards another cosponsor who does meet the qualifications to get your husband here. The government wants to make sure that you will beable to support your husband for a minimum of 10 years of him being here. It sounds like you pretty much have everything mapped out as well as a hired lawyer or firm can do. I think you shouldn't have any problem in filing the paperwork yourself for your husband. I'm not sure how to go about filing since they did away with DCF. As far as the work permit goes, is that more for the Egyptian government or the US? I don't remember anywhere on the petition does it ask for a work permit for those who are living in Egypt. The only time I saw where they asked for any proof of employment was the proof for having the money to support your SO in the US and you said that you have no problem lining up a co-sponsor. You can go ahead and file the I-130 for your husband and then once you have your taxes done for 2011 you can give it to your husband when he goes for the actual interview with the embassy. That is what we did. I included the 3 prior years of tax transcripts then since my husband's interview was at the end of February, I gave him a copy of the income tax return to take with him.
