Definitely a good heads up there, seems that they dont ask too much just some of the basics that Mary and Alix said. Probably nothing that you wont already be prepared for. Have you an idea of when your interview may be? Good luck with it.

He did not take one I had to send the affivadit to the NVC, and I filled out the one they send me, the NVC acepted the affivadit, however the caunselor did not, I dont know why and I am not going to try to find out...


Well, if you don't find out WHY, then you run the risk of being denied again because you STILL didn't provide them what they were looking for... now that would be REALLY sad...

Better to find out from them what they want. Its probably something you can easily provide. You don't want to have to go through THAT again...

Just a thought.

I want to vent, I don't know what is going on I told my husband not to tell me when he is going back to the Interest Section, and know I am going insane. I know that he is in Havana so I cant even call him, this is really getting to me, this process is making me crazy. It is so hard, it is nerve braking. I miss my husband so much, I really need him nest to me to help me go throw this.

He did not take one I had to send the affivadit to the NVC, and I filled out the one they send me, the NVC acepted the affivadit, however the caunselor did not, I dont know why and I am not going to try to find out I want him to come as soon as posilble so I send him a new one. Lets see what happens next week, i am praying that everything will be OK with the New one I had a Attorney friend review the affivadit and she said that it was OK, all I want is to see my husband I havent seen him for over a year and I miss him so much..

You mean if the USC is divorced? Or does this also apply for the foreign person?

The reason I ask is that we BOTH were previously married!!! And for him it wont be a problem because we stayed in touch with his ex. But for me this is a disaster! We both went our own ways after the divorce in 2000. :help:

I did call the IRS and they faxed me transcripts, but they look so unofficial. The only thing on them that even mentions the IRS is the cover page. You think this is okay?

They did not put this information on the G-325 when they applied for I-130 at the embassy, but they were approved. Is this going to be a problem?

On the biographic form it just said "residences for last 5 years"
On the Ds230, it says, "all places you have lived for at least 6 months"

I also told the lady at the embassy (when I applied DCF for I130) that I met him when he was staying with family...

Is this going to be a major problem? Are the embassies very concerned with the residences if outside the US?


Yes, you should list it on DS 230 and you should have listed it on G-325A. If they ask you during the interview, just tell them, you inadvertently did not mention it on G-325A.

You are doing DCF and I-864 right?

If you read the instructions with I-864, you only need past year's tax information. The instructions state you can include A letter from employer, past 3 years taxes and up to the past 6 months pay stubs if you think they will help your case.

If your income is large enough use the I-864EZ, it requires less documentation, and bank statements are unnecessary.

You are okay. The G-325A says "applicants residence outside of the US for more than one year." Your husband was not in Italy longer than that, so you are good to go. We had missing work info on our DS-230 that I am sure did not match our G-325A. It wasn't a problem.

When I filed I130 (DCF), on the G325 my husband and I did not put that he was living in Italy. We didn't because it wasn't his residence (he was staying with his brother). He was there for about 6 months (that's where I met him). When I was interviewed (at the time I filed the i130) , I told the lady that I met him in Italy and I told her that he had been there with his brother for about 6 months. Our case was approved. When filling out the ds230 (for packet 3), it asked for evrywhere he has lived since he was 16. We did put Italy. Do you forsee this being an issue? If so, what can be done?

I am a little confused about the next steps. My wife arrived on Cr1 on April 14. We checked to have an SS assgined on DS230. My questions are - How long on average before the green card arrives? Do I need to go to SS office to apply for an SS or it will be automatically sent?

Any answer will be highly appreciated.


My husband had to go to the S.S. office... When we were there, they said they have never heard of people receiving it because they checked it on the DS 230.

Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone has been lucky enough to get their NOA2 from CSC yet?..I havnt been touched since they recieved my RFE back on July 7th and was touched on the 8th..nothing since.
I posted about a week or so ago that my laywer expects approvals from CSC within 3 weeks time of recieving the RFE's back..so im hoping his comment has some merit.
Wishful thinking i guess..I do know they updated that they are working on petitions from March 3rd,and I know Vermont is already approving people who filed in May and June..thats what is so frusterating,why is CSC taking 3 times as long to process?..just isnt fair.
