K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNO2 APPROVAL?///
Ours took 72 days...no RFEs.
If CSC keeps at the pace they're at now you should have it by the end of January - we hope.
Good luck!

I was pretty sure I'd get an RFE for things I thought were necessary to include with my petition. But we were approved rather quickly (for CSC) without the need for more evidence.

However, it may not hurt to separate some pictures just in case....

ahh, Dean, that was the kind of answer I was looking for - makes sense and it's nice to know that you just received it and live closer.
Floridians move kind of slow too....

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNOA2 in the mail
Hi everyone!
Our I-129F petition was approved on 11/29 (last Wednesday) and I have yet to receive our NOA2 via snail mail. I actually received the approval email at 1 a.m. on 11/30 which stated that the letter was sent off.
I live in Florida and I know that the letter is coming from California but I wanted to make sure that it is not too late that I should be worried it's been lost in the mail? I figured I should give it until the end of the week - my NOA1 took a bit to get here but wanted to check with you all....
What do you think?
Thanks ahead of time!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHow much is this all going to cost us?
"Don't worry- you just pay as you go. You don't have to be a millionarire to bring your fiance over"

I'd have to say that what sakurasama said (above) is perfect. No one is asking us to spend too much all at one time.

You have to cut costs wherever you can as far as hotels, phone plans, etc. but not on other things. I have spent thousands of dollars so far (and our I-129F was just approved). The best spent money of my life!

It's so much better to spend Christmas/New Years and my long summers (I'm a teacher) with the love of my life than working to save up.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresAddress for the G-325A
That is what I did. (And I wrote both our names on each additional page).
Brazilian address tend to be very long and so I did not even bother writing anything on the G-325A form besides "See addtional sheet".
I think it is common that people do that.
Also, if you have too many jobs to list on that form then you can add another sheet as well.
Just clearly mark everything so it is easy to understand and find.
You will have 4 copies of G-325A so print out 4 of that additional sheet.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedureselectronic notification of NOA1
I don't think people receive electronic NOA1 emails, right?
Only NOA2 emails...which in my case came 8 days before my approval in the mail.
But...I got it today :;):

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresFiance has 2 last names
My fiance has two last names - as do most hispanics and Latin Americans.
I wrote NONE under middle name (as he has none) and wrote both of his last names where they ask for last name.
They are both his legal names and I sent a copy of his passport and birth certificate which proves this.
I had no RFEs.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNOA2 THEN touched again
I don't think so though because my I-129F was approved on 11/29 and touched on 11/30.
The email that I received stating my application was approved was actually sent at 1 a.m. on 11/30 - so that could be it.
I emailed NVC and they said as of yesterday my case had not arrived...
who knows with CSC?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresTouched today...
Yea Arazia!!!
I've been waiting for this for you two. And you can celebrate for real...right??
Well, check your e-mail because USCIS likes to give us little surprises sometimes.
Mine came at 1 a.m.
I hope it means another NOA2.
aaaah, you 2 deserve it!!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedurescalled USCIS about our petition
It seems CSC is working on a lot of Sept NOA1s, though not everyone has been approved.
You're probably looking at into the New Year - January/Februrary at this rate.
My assumption is based on others' timelines only.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedurescalled USCIS about our petition
The person you talk to isn't even in California.
They tell you what the website says - no more.
Don't bother calling unless it's been 6 months - though I'm sure you'd never have to wait that long.
CSC has been rolling out approvals lately.
We got ours in 72 days.
bora boraFemaleBrazil2006-12-08 20:51:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresSmells like an RFE for us?
There is no use in worrying. I did the same thing after I sent my petition - started worrying, ok should we have signed all those supplemental forms...?, etc.
But then we were approved by CSC in 10 weeks + 2 days.
NO RFEs.
If CSC needs something they'll let you know - in the meantime it is better just to sit back and relax.
Congrats on finishing the first step.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresTime between NOA2 and receipt at NVC
We were approved on 11/29 and I sent NVC an email earlier this week asking if they have received our case. (I included our case number and names)
About 4 days later they reponsded that they had not.

It took a friend of mine 2 weeks - her NOA2 was from 11/16 and the letter from NVC was dated 11/30. This letter stated that NVC had received her NOA2 and that her application will be sent to the embassy in a week.
Hope this helps.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresCSC has been improving K-1 Approvals for 3 weeks....
Mine was 10 weeks and 2 days since I got my NOA1.
I hope everyone else has such as of luck.
Now if I could only have my case be received by NVC...

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNotice Left at USCIS
It also happened to us. I had the wrong P.O. number too so I was really worried. But I got an email at 5 a.m. on Monday saying my petition was delivered to TSC. If you check out my signature here you can see how long it took from when the I-129F was mailed to when we received our NOA1 from California. I hope that helps you estimate how long it will be for you.
No worries.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresAfter NOA2
Sorry Kat, didn't realize it was you who was travelling.
So you already have a passport...hehe
Have a good trip.
bora boraFemaleBrazil2006-12-10 17:25:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresAfter NOA2
After you get your NOA2 your case is forwarded to the NVC for processing where you will receive a case number. Your application is then forwarded onto the embassy in your fiance's city.
Make sure she has a passport if not already.
You will need to gather proof of income and she will have a few documents to fill out. I think those papers may be specific to the country so ask someone from the UK to fill you in more on that.
What takes time is the passport - if she doesn't have one.

I hope you get your NOA2 soon.
Good luck.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresThank God!
I know I sent mine to TSC but maybe your case will be about the same time frame.

I'd expect 2 weeks.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresG325a photos

we are doing the cr1, and are sending our i-130, as with the k1, we have to send us passport style photos.

my photos were sent to my wife, usc dated 8th Oct. so, they have to reach the uscis by 8th nov.

does anyone know if the '30 rule' is strict and we could get an rfe is it reeaches them on day 32 or so?

thanks.

How are the photos dated? Is there some sort of notation on them?

i think its just my writing -

"10/8/06"

and my signature.

Well, since the date was written on the back, they have an idea of when it was taken. If it gets to them past the 30 day mark they have a reason to send a RFE. That is the USCIS for you. Hopefully for you though, you will have an adjudicator who will just see that it took a little while for the package to reach them, that's all, and everything will be ok. Good Luck to you.

~Stacey
