K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Thank you St Expedite	I need to tell you all that when I sent out this application in September that I said a prayer to St. Expedite asking that he ensure my application approved quickly and without RFE. Although after I mailed it out and I found a few "mistakes" and even had my fiance sign and fill out papers just in case - we did NOT receive an RFE. My case was approved in 72 days. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	G-325A Help	I also studied/worked abroad alot although I used my parent's address to receive my U.S. mail and I write down ALL addresses. You do need to fill out the first page and Adobe will automatically fill in pages 2-4 with the same information so it is as if you're completing only one page. I'm from NY and moved to Florida last year... sometimes I wish I'd waited until after I filed for this visa application. This way my application would have been sent to Vermont. It is frustrating to wait, no matter what. Like you all said, even more so when it has to do with our emotions. My fiance's mother died a few weeks ago and he is very upset. I feel guilty because he needs me and I can't go to Brasil now. He is waiting as patiently as he can. Me too. Good luck to all. I'm a mid-September with her fingers crossed... I agree with what Arazia says that just because we want to be approved does not mean that we don't wish the same on those who have NOA1s from March - August. I think that it would be fair to approve applications in the order that they were received. It is frustrating to see other couples with an NOA1 after me be approved in a few weeks (from California) while my fiance and I wait. However, I am happy for them. We know there are some factors (fair or not) that lead one couple to be approved before another. I tell my students all the time - Life is not fair. It sucks but it's true. One thing we are lucky about is that we found the person we want to spend the rest of our lives with and with this visa it is possible. Not everyone has found that person... My fiance and I have been apart for a bit over 4 months now and although we'd love to spend our 3rd Christmas/New Years together we'll be saving that money so I can go on the interview with him. I think your situation is completely normal. It's nice to be reminded that we still need to prove our relationship and I'll bring our copies of snail mail letters and MSN convos along with emails and pictures with us. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	How should I submit pictures??	Good advice to "look outside the box". I had a friend (or 2) look over my application before I sent it. The first friend would say, they don't care about that - and I'd take it out if it was just +++ too much material (especially on question 18 of how we know each other. You can show your plane tickets that prove you flew to your fiance's country as evidence and write in your letter that you lived close. I showed the certificate that I received after working in Brasil and used that for evidence that we were living in the same city. I also used a ziploc bag for my pictures and ADDCO fasteners. I hole punched my papers at the top (2 holes) and that made it easy for my documents to be "read" like a book - I think. It also kept everything together and in order (I used a separate cover letter for proof of having met in the past 2 years AND for proof of ongoing relationship). We submitted 6 pages from over the past 2 years and wrote our names, dates, and locations on each one. We also put our passport pictures in plastic bags and I wrote our full names on those. He travelled to one city on a tourist visa, married his then fiance, and they temporarily stayed in Rio (for 3 months) until she was given a visa. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Does anyone know whether its possible to supplement b/f RFE	I would suggest not doing so because you may not need it. After I mailed out our I-129F I worried about receiving an RFE because my fiance did not sign his supplemental G-325A forms but DID sign the forms themselves. However, we did not receive an RFE and our case was approved rather quickly for CSC. It's always better to be safe than sorry when submitting the package but I would wait to hear back from USCIS before sending documents for what could be an RFE. My timeline here says 84/5 days but that must be counting from since I mailed it out but it took 12 days for my application to leave Florida, be received by TSC and transferred to CSC. I believe that it was pretty fast - the good news is that I am NOT the only one. When I signed onto my account on the USCIS website - a few days before I was approved - I was prompted to change my password. I did so and an email was sent to my account (gmail) as a reminder. My friend who helped me is not a professional. We had no problems with our petition - no RFEs. My friend signed and dated every page where she translated. I did the same for her and translated all of her e-mails and letters she wanted to use as proof. I did exactly what she did for me and her application was also approved in no time. E-mails are used as proof of ongoing relationship - I believe it is helpful. I chose e-mails where we talk about marriage as well. Under the instructions here on the VJ site it states: Please submit certified translations for all foreign language documents. The translator must certify that s/he is competent to translate and that the translation is accurate. The certification format should include the certifier's name, signature, address, and date of certification. A suggested format is: Certification by Translator I typed name , certify that I am fluent (conversant) in the English and languages, and that the above/attached document is an accurate translation of the document attached entitled . Signature Date Typed Name Address USCIS My fiance does not speak English and so all of our correspondence was translated. I called USCIS and was told that documents do not need to be translated by a professional but that I cannot do it. It needs to be done by someone who cannot benefit from the relationship (you). I think it is better to be safe than sorry. I was approved rather quickly (for CSC) with no RFEs and I translated everything. I also left that note by the translator after every email (I sent 5) along with a card from me to my fiance and a letter written by a friend of ours (also translated).
