K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Last update	I had a touch on 10/30 and I called USCIS today to ask why that was - had no luck until today. I had no touch before (that I know of) or after. I was told that a letter was mailed out to me on that date due to a customer inquiry/correspondence first sent by me. Yet I never contacted the office besides an email which was returned stating that CSC no longer receives emails by the general public. Does anyone have an idea what this could be about? I sent an email to CSC which was automatically responded as "we no longer receive emails from the general public". (I didn't know they did this). I found in my email when I got that, and it was 10/30 so although most touches seem to mean something, not all of them do... I hope this may help someone else. It's tough and honestly I wouldn't want my child to study where I teach. I've also been to Lima and I know that schools are not like that - at least in my experience. So when I used emails as proof of relationship I made a note on everyone that that was his nickname being used. However, I did not mention this nickname on the forms because it is not official and he only used it on his email account. Also, his email address contains his legal name so I believe that is proof that the email account is his. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Has anyone tried calling the Service Center 800 number?	The best days to call are probably Wed or Thurs. Last time I was on hold for almost 45 minutes. When you call write down the number sequence down of what you dial in order to talk to someone. So if you wait and cant get through at least next time it will probably be faster. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Evidence of Relationship: Personal Letters	I read on this site that we should send a little of each type of proof - emails, phone bills, used calling cards, plane tickets, etc. We sent 6 emails - those that spoke of our plans to marry and showed our love for each other (they all do really). Along with this we sent alot of other proof. Pictures are good. A friend of mine sent 5 emails and blocked out one part because it was a bit risky (if you know what i mean) and not pertanent. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Mailed I-129F - When Will They Receive It?	They'll receive it - don't worry. That "attempted to deliver" message is normal too. I received that because my package was delivered on a Saturday and there was no one there to sign for/receive it. I received an email that next Monday stating that my application was received at 5 a.m.!!! Go figure...that's early. I was worried too because I had written down the wrong PO Box number (which didn't exist anymore) but I had everything else right - so it got there. You can look at my timeline here below...but it took about a week from when it was received in Texas until I got my NOA1 (and check cashed) in California. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	duh....ok	In my case, My check was cashed on 9/18 and on the USCIS website, and when I call them, that same date is used as when my case was first processed. However, my receipt (I-797) date is 9/19. They're only a day off and because USCIS is showing my application as being received on the 18th that is what I'm using as my NOA1. I'd use the date that your application was received and processed into their system. But that is my advice - there may be someone out there who can better assist. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Fiance doesn't speak English very well yet...	Hi. My fiance is not Albanian but he doesn't speak English either so maybe I can help. You can fill out the papers for him and have him sign - that is what I did. Over the summer my fiance and I went over the process AGAIN and he told me his last employers, etc. and I filled out all the information and he signed them. I found 2 mistakes after I had returned to the U.S. so I sent him the new papers and emailed and called him when they were received. He signed where I told him to (or where I put an X) and he returned the papers - no problem. Later on, when you deal with the embassy, the forms are offered in their native language - for now you can do things for him. I have a friend with a non-English speaking fiance who scanned a copy of the form filled out by her. He downloaded the forms and filled them in just as she had. My account was updated (on 10/30) and nothing since... So I'm waiting for a touch that means something.
