K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	K1 question	Hello. I have a question about how long my foreign fiance would have to stay in the country after we were married. Right now she is not sure if she wants to attend another year of school in the UK. We want to go through with the K1 visa process to keep our options open, but at the same time we don't want to abort the process and possibly make things more difficult in the future. We are worried that once she is over here and we are married, we might run into problems if she wants to leave the country for more school. Has anyone had a similar experience? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	AOS	Hi Friends, I am self employed and take alot of legal business deductions..my business took in about 40,000.00 but after deductions shows a profit of only 6500.00 or so..i do have about 100,000.00 in equity in my home and about 25,000.00 in the bank. Will it be a problem if my business only shows 6500.00 as a profit..will they deny the AOS because of that.and if they do will she have to go back to the Philippines?..any help will be appricated..Thanks, Keith88gt. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	How useful is the 'Proof of Ongoing Relationship'?	I just found a phone card you can buy on the internet that i like alot . The website is www.touch-n-buy.com and you can view the rates and surcharges. I use ETB with no mant or conns fees. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Applying for second K1 for same Beneficiary	I found this on the travel.state.gov website in the telegrams section. It contains notes referring to 22CFR 41.81 N6.3 Reissuance of K-1 Visa If a K-1 visa, valid for a single entry and a 6-month period, has already been used for admission into the United States and the alien fiance(e) has returned abroad prior to the marriage, the consular officer may issue a new K-1 visa, provided that the period of validity does not exceed the 90th day after the date of initial admission of the alien on the original K visa and provided also that the petitioner and beneficiary still intend and are free to marry. The alien''s return to the United States and marriage to the petitioner must take place within 90 days from the date of the original admission into the United States in K-1 status. I have forwarded this information to the embassy in Pnohm Phen and Bangkok (because that is where the original visa was issued). I hope that they will interpret it the way I do and contact me with good news. I have emailed them three times already, but no answer yet. There wasn't even an auto-reply either. I don't even know if they got it. goldenheart You said that you got a new visa number in two weeks. How did you do that and whom did you have to contact for that? Was it a new NOA2 through USCIS or was the number from the NVC or the Embassy directly? When you state that you are going through the whole process again, do you mean the petition approval process, or the process after the Packet 3? Thanks Again for your support. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Applying for second K1 for same Beneficiary	My fiance returned home 2 weeks after arriving in the States because she was told that her mother was ill. She arrived to find out that it was a ploy from her (very controlling) family to get her to come back. Reasons aside . . . We never had a chance to get married, but still want to. I read somewhere that the consulate could still revalidate her visa, allowing her to reenter the States, but the validity would still be 90 days from when she first entered the US. I am doubtful on this, but contacted the embassy to request that information and am still waiting on word. I guess I am hoping that someone here might be able to tell me about the process for applying for a K1 for the same person within 1-2 months of her having already recieved a visa? Is it the same process? Would we have to wait for her original visa to expire? Could it be expidited. This whole situation really sucks, because we were victims of the whole IMBRA debacle and waited almost one year to see each other again. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	is the beneficiary's birth certificate should be included at the k1 packet?	We sent my fiance's birth certificate and passport with our I-129F application. I figured it wouldn't hurt. My fiance's father is not on his birth certificate so on the G-325A forms where they asked him for his father's name/address we wrote UNKNOWN. Therefore, sending his BC (without his father's name) was more of a proof for that - for a reason to write UNKNOWN. I sent a bit of each - 6 pictures, 5 emails (with translations), a couple phone records, credit card statements showing bought calling card, etc. You can ask a friend to write a letter stating that they are a witness of your love. It says that it was sent to the NVC (not to the embassy - not that it should but other pple get that). Well, I sent an email to NVC and they responded today that it had not arrived yet, as someone else had said. So I guess give it some time. It's been 2 weeks since I received my NOA2 and I haven't heard from the NVC. I know that calling the automated phone service does nothing and I've had no luck talking to anyone. I emailed last week and nothing. I sent another email out yesterday so I'll wait to hear back. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Declaration of having met in last two years.	I kept mine brief too. I had a friend, going through the process at the same time, read over my letter. She'd say "they don't care about this", "unncessary", etc. and so my letter was short and sweet. We met here, on this date, I went home, I returned, ... I took out all of the "love at first sight", "we couldn't live without each other" I'd suggest just sticking to the facts. I sent in the proof that I worked in the same city that we met in (my certificate), 5 emails (with translations), 6 pictures (dated), phone bills, plane tickets, passport stamps, hotel receipt... You're within the normal processing time - I wouldn't start to worry. My best friend was impressed by how I had organized/prepared my application but she has nothing to compare it with nor does she know anything about fiance visa applications, you know? Then we were touched the day of our approval. Unfortunately touches don't always mean much, or anything. Good luck. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	What happens after NOA2	Basically USCIS forwards your case to NVC for them to do additional backgound checks. Due to the fact that K1 visas are in the NVC for such short a time does not allow you to find information via their automated phone service. You could send an e-mail once a week until they respond that your case is/was there. That is what I did. Before I knew it, my case had already passed through their hands/security checks. Once that is done (2-4 weeks), your case is forwarded to the US embassy in your fiance's country. They will send the "package 3" to you the foreign fiance and s/he will have to fill out some papers and return it. That is when they send the "package 4" for the interview. It took 12 days from my NOA2 to arrive at NVC but then it did not spend more than 48 hours there before it was forwarded to the embassy. I had no luck talking to anyone at NVC until now - because it was 11:57 p.m. - but they answered by e-mail today (I sent one last week and then again this week). I then called NVC at almost midnight to find out when my case was forwarded to Brazil. You can always e-mail the embassy and ask if you're case has been received.
