When we filed both of us were students, so the employment info was empty whistling.gif (none, none, none)!!!

I always had a part time job besides when I was studying abroad - so I just made that note.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresg325-a, student
Student is not a job, so list only the jobs where you have been employed - even if you only worked part time. You can include (as I did) a note on a separate sheet that you were unemployed during xx time because you were in college. No big deal. Many people do the same thing.
If you're under the poverty level it's ok as long as you have a co-sponsor, like you said you do.

It's always better to be safe than sorry. It makes it easier when you fill out the documents for the interview and then for AOS too. You can just copy that information onto those documents instead of wracking your brain again.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresTranslations?
First of all, EVERYTHING you send to USCIS needs to be translated into English. So, if you choose to send letters/e-mails/cards with your I-129F then you need to send translations. I'd not risk translating it myself, but rather ask a friend. That person does NOT need to be a translator, they just need to sign an affidavit saying they are fluent in both languages - there is an example of one here on VJ.
That is exactly what my husband and I did. The only official translation we have is for his BC.

We did send a letter from a friend (verifying our relationship), 5 e-mails, and a birthday card. A friend translated this for us since USCIS told me I couldn't do it myself (I know some people get away with it).
We sent this as proof of ongoing relationship - NOT as meeting in the past 2 years. You don't have to send this proof, but many people do.

Whatever you take with you to the interview can be in either English or Spanish since the consulate is in Mexico.

Better to be safe than sorry.
I asked the consulate what I needed and they told me I could bring just my lastest W2 and tax returns. However, I decided to bring three just in case - wasn't worth the risk.

Thanks very much!

Are you asking for an A#? I wanna help you but I cannot understand the question. What's his ER?

expedited removal..

The A# is given by USCIS for non USCs living in the U.S. (so if your fiance has never been here/worked her) he won't have one. I don't know what expedited removal is...

Green-card holders are allowed to visit Canada without a visa.

Hello YuAndDan,

Is your above statement correct? For instance, my Thai wife is now a GC holder (2 year conditional) via the K1->AOS process.

However, Thai people need a visa to enter Canada, because Thailand does not participate in Canada's VWP.

Therefore, my understanding is that my wife cannot enter Canada with her Thai passport, even though she does have a US Greencard. She won't be able to enter Canada until she had a Canadian Visa. I suspect that the case would be the same for same for the OP, considering that she is from the Philippines.

Please let me know if I'm incorrect (which is HIGHLY possible!).

Peace to you!

MarkNAam
Yes it is correct, My wife has CR-Green card, Chinese nationals are required to have Visa to visit canada, however I-551 Green card holders are not required to have visa.

Hi Everyone.
I have a question on G-325a and they ask about fathers name and residence, my father is deceased. Do i put deceased on the box for residence or another place? My other question is about meeting in person, I have pictures and ticket stubs (return trip only) of my visit and of course my passport, will that be sufficient for proof of meeting in person? Thank you.

Yes - write DECEASED
As far as proof - I think it'd be better to send more if you have it, if not that should be enough (pictures, ticket stubs, passport stamps). Do you have an itinerary, atm receipts, etc?

Naly,

We didn't put dates but "as soon as I got the visa". You will need to handwrite that one though...

We put down the date and the flight we had reserved...but I've heard people say it's better not to do that because the consulate may think you're too sure that you'll get the visa. However, we had reserved the flight and didn't want to lie.

I'd take the advice to write "when the visa is granted" for question 22 - good answer - honest too.

I remember that my fiance's visa was good for the same amount of time - but once you enter you only have 90 days to get married - making the visa valid WITHIN the U.S. only 90 days.

We get a lot of these misunderstandings. The K1 visa is dead and gone upon US entry. The 90 day status is derived from the I-94, not the visa. The visa category dictates the I-94 expiration date.
