Congrats but are you gloating? You started a thread about yourself and then you posted in the April thread. Your NOA1 was in May, not April.

Posting it 1 time isnt gloating but since it was posted in three different topics.. it really comes accross like gloating... mad.gif

never had a problem using expedia or orbitz... just be sure that the name matches the ticket. Many times when you enter first middle and last, the middle gets dropped when the ticket is printed and the folks at the airport in VN are picky wen it comes to having the middle name on the ticket.

Middle East and North AfricaAnyone get sick after coming back?
QUOTE (KHPerfectMatch @ Jul 10 2009, 04:13 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
My best friend developed schistosomiasis or another type of ameobic or parasitic "infection" while in Egypt. Her symptoms did not appear until several days after her exposure. She was very very seriously ill and if not treated properly by a tropical medicine specialist while she was in Egypt who recognized her problem immediately I hate to think what could have happened to her. If you aren't better in 24 hours I'd see someone and be sure they understand where you were and what kind of activities you did... (Like splashing in the Nile, eating from street vendors, etc.)

I'd error on the side of caution.. I almost lost my best friend over what she thought at first was a little Pharoah's revenge... thank God she got good treatment!

I have seen that many people have had serious issues from bacterial infections as a result of insect bites...

Middle East and North AfricaAnyone get sick after coming back?
I always get sick when I come back to the US.. Sometimes flu from the flight and close quaters.. other times my digestive system takes a while to get used to US food again... I'm guessing it could be the preservatives etc in my case...

Middle East and North AfricaNOA2 and the mysterious envelope?
QUOTE (MouadsWife @ Sep 12 2009, 11:35 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I have heard tale of a mysterious envelope one gets from NVC or whoever... This envelope is not supposed to be opened and taken to the interview. My question is: Does the Noa2 packet hold the "mysterious envelope"? whistling.gif

Second question... Will I receive in the mail as petitioner just a letter of approval, or a envelope like my fiance 'beneficiary' will receive.

Hummm.... blink.gif

You get the envelope at the interview and dont open it.. you will give it to the officer at POE.

DoS has called a few petitioners asking questions in recent months but an inspection/visit is not the norm.. I suspect as others that they are just looking to see if there is someone else living in the home...

Middle East and North Africamoving to florida

Orlando is a service economy. What type of jobs would you like to find? Are you looking to build careers or find a place to just work and play? What types of things do you enjoy to do in your off time.

Area residents don't spend a lot of time on I Drive or in the parks. So be sure that you understand what local life is about. Orlando is really a small town with a giant industry. You feel the effects of economic swings pretty quickly.

You will find that Orlando and NC aren't all that different in many ways. I've lived in both and enjoyed both.

Maitland is a tech center northeast of Orlando.. look to see what is available there...

I have lived in FL all my life.. east coast, west coast at the moment, as well as Orlando area not long ago.. The economy blows right now... our county has about 12% unemployment.. There is alot to do in O-town as well as a great deal of crime. I would not move there unless there was employment already setup..

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresLose a job before interview date, any effects?

I'll do everything for my fiancee. As long as I know if my 4th trip can benefit her to pass the interview. Even if I have to lose my job, but if I know that my 4th trip will allow her to pass her interview, I will do it.

There is no proof that they would even consider the fact that you made another trip, many have made trips after the initial filing that were ignored by the CO... so you could be throwing that job away... most here would agree that the trip can help with your SO's confidence at the interview but it would likely have little or no impact on the CO's decision that you were sitting outside.

Dont be surprised if they do ask about the co-sponsor. HCMC can be very thorough.. They are known to ask questions about the color of underwear or side of bed to sleep... what do your friends do for a living... nothing is out of the question...

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresWhite sheet - what does that mean?

My fiancee was interviewed last October 2010. She got the blue sheet which tell us to do exactly what you had. She turned the requested documents on November 2010. She had waited for 4 hours and got the white sheet finally. White sheet is the denied letter and the case will send back to NVC. My advice is you got to provide more evidences before the submit. Don't just send what are they requested like the 10 years time life living address or the letter to show more detail about the relationship. I did provided exactly what they asked but my wife still got the denied letter. So, I would suggest you to make another trip. Having a big wedding ceremony. Has some body on your side like your parents, your sisters or brothers or closed friend to write the affidavit support for your relationship. Also, let your wife family to write the letter as the witness for your relationship. you still has 1 year from the date they sent out the interview letter to your beneficiary. so don't rush to submit the documents unless you are sure it will a good ground. contact the consulate for the postpone submit and gather more evidences until you have a strong case. Did you file for Form I-129F or Form I130?

they normally include a date to submit the documents... was that they case OP?

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresWhite sheet - what does that mean?

From what I read. The interview has been failed, they are requesting a lot more detailed documents from the petitioner and the beneficiary.

More than likely its the exwife that is the issue... and likely a recent divorce... This is a common request for documentation if that is the case regardless of the interview... My wife answered every question spot on and they still asked us for the same documents...
ScottThuyMaleVietnam2011-04-29 20:29:00
IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresWhite sheet - what does that mean?
The document is very specific about what they are asking for... You have an opportunity to submit the requested items and potentially get a pink paper followed by a visa... They could also say that they need some more time after they get those documents so they can make a decision.. or they could deny when they get them...
The thing you need to do now is to address each item that they requested.. Check the VN regional forum for stories of other who have been there done that as these are not uncommon requests...
ScottThuyMaleVietnam2011-04-29 20:20:00
IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures2nd time around different person
Its not thier life that you are dealing with.. its yours... HCMC has certain expectations and you know for a fact that this round is up hill already... these other people likely dont understand that doing things too fast can cause you two to have to deal with the consulate for an even longer time trying to be together... which is more important, being together ASAP or having a piece of paper that says that you are married ASAP?

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedurescriminal record
They wont deny based on your DUI's... the DUI's could delay things causing them to take second looks at the background checks when those DUI's set off criminal background flags.. but just that, a potential delay not denial...

Normal denial using the 221g as the umbrella with no specific reason cited... case is being returned to USCIS as having been denied the visa. The congressional rep may be able to find out the reason. Its hit or miss getting the case kept at the embassy at this point...

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Proceduresbefor my interview they give me so much paper pleas help

Soufian,

221G doesn't mean refusal, but it means that The Consulate can't make a decision. I received the same letter in 2006. If they said you are missing documents or they ask for documents, that means you need to provide them with documents to process your request. Make sure to send the 221G and all letter that they sent you to your Wife, so she can send me the taxes and other documents they asked for. THe consulate may send back your file the USCIS center. in my case they didn't tell me that they are missing documents or anything else. they just said they can't refuse or grant me visa at this time and they are going to send the file to USCIS Center for decision. if this is similar to you case, your spouse needs to contact the senator of her state to find out exactly what going on.

I came under K1 so Casablanaca did not send the file to USCIS on time, but the time they send it it was expired and we had to start over.

Soufian, This is just an example of my situation may be yours is diffirent. make sure to read the letter carefully and send it to you spouse.

Incorrect.. 221g is a denial... sometimes they allow additional documents to be submitted for an additional chance and others its a straight up denial... based on his 221g its a denial

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresMandatory administrative processing
in VN we waited over 8 months and a friend has been waiting alround a year and a half... it varies and all that you can do is to keep making inquiries to the DoS & embassy and have your congressional rep make an inquiry from time to time..

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Proceduresgreen paper 221g from ho chi minh consulate

Additional processing = Additional waiting Hell, what a Nightmare, the CO never liked my wife,I could tell,we saw her a few days after the interview,we were getting the paperwork notorized at the embassy, she was getting coffee across the street,I even said a polite hello to her. After we made everything perfect, she sent us into AP Delay. How Long before they make decision? I tried e-mail them........, Nothing...........,whats next crystal ball? What a terrific system. My advice is to do everything perfect. or else your paperwork will be floating in paper outerspace like ours. The embassy dont care,,,,more money, time, effort, life, wasted time, slipping by,not being able to be with the one you Love. Thanks to all the scammers who screwed the system up and made it nearly impossible to get my babe over here.

the red flag that needs investigating is the previous marriage. They will likely treat it the same as our case... as long as there are no negative results in the investigation you should be fine.. be prepared to have a long wait before they make a decision...it could be a year or more... or it could only be a few months.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresWhat factors determine the length of time between NOA1 and NOA2?
dont expect anything before August and you will be ok.. if you keep looking and hoping for something before then, it will take its toll on you... Its the luck of the draw for those that get NOA 2 in a month.. the rest have to wait close to 6 months or so...
