I sure hope so...thats the last thing I need, especially when my consulate averages over 5 months from NOA2 to interview :( ugh...

Don't worry, there won't be a delay due to the transfers from TSC.

Wow, 5 months? Montreal used to be the same, but they've recently went down to 2 months.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresCSC to TSC to NVC: the Saga continues

how much of an effect do you guys/gals think the recent USCIS approvals of all of these pending cases will affect our completion at NVC? Should we expect even more months of delay due to the increased number of petitions at NVC?

I doubt it would cause much of a delay. Only 36,000 cases were transferred and they weren't all approved at the same time, they've slowly been going to NVC. I'm sure NVC gets thousands of cases per week from Cali and Vermont, so just a few extra from TSC won't make a difference..

Hi guys I have a question.

I just received my AOS processing fee bill invoice $88.

I am bit confuse on the "choice of address and agent" DS-3032. Do I have to sent this document to my father in India and wait him to mail this back to me and than send it back to NVC? Seems it might take long time.

You can email the DS-3032 by following this template: http://www.visajourn...il_DS-3032_form Much faster.

Awesome Timosha. Thanks. I think we all should appreciate the one who created this site. I was about to get a laywer, but dropped the idea after seeing this site. Awesome site and awesome members.

My status says paid for AOS. Can i send AOS documents tomorrow even though my DS3032 has not been accepted?
Can I include bank statements even though I fill I-864Ez?

Thanks in advance

Yeah, this site is great. I definitely wouldn't have been able to do any of this without the help of VJ and its members.

You can send off the AOS immediately. Just make sure you print off the 'Document Cover Sheet' from the payment portal site and put it as the FIRST thing in the package.

I believe you can include bank statements with the I-864EZ. For our case, we just included tax transcripts, employment letter, and pay stubs. There's only a few hundred dollars in my husband's bank account, so not worth sending in bank statements.

Hi All,

Cogrets Saylin!!!

I just got I-864 invoice email, but when i try to login to pay i still get the:

Sign In Failed
Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time. Please click on the Contact the NVC hyperlink if you believe that you have received this message in error.

Called NVC operator, she told me to use IE only, but it did not help.

should i wait a little?

Thanks!

Definitely use IE for paying bills. A lot of people have been getting a fake SIF. Just give it a day or two and you should be able to log in to pay bills.

saylin,

1)shes making $1,800-2,000 per month,i guess the 125% of poverty line is around $18,000 per annum

2)we received AOS and DS-3032 emails from NVC.Now should we pay AOS fee and send COA e mail (whats with the bar code)

and congrats for CC :)

thanks for all the support

Oh, she's making enough money then, just wanted to make sure.

If you can log onto the payment portal and see the AOS fee generated, then yes, pay it.

And send the DS-3032 email now. NVC is ready to accept it since they sent you the email. I dunno what's up with the barcode, just email the DS-3032 following the template here on VJ and you'll be fine.

And thank you :)

Thanks Saylin. I have another question. I am planning to fill I-864EZ. What should I fill in part 2, state and zipcode (she doesnot have any), and SSN and Alient registration no? Should I out N/A or leave it blank? Thanks

I don't know anything about her country, but are there no states/provinces/districts? If there isn't any, put 'none'. The same thing goes for zip/postal codes. If her country doesn't have any, then put 'none'. For the SSN and A#, put 'none' as well.

Never leave any box blank, always put N/A or none.

hey congrats all for the progess

i have a question about income and employment.

My wife did work till Sep 2009 and has IRS tax receipts and employment letters from employer(2007 to 2009)above

poverty lines as required

We got married in Dec 2009 and she returned to US and filed our case in July, 2010.Currently, she tutoring kids at

home for last 3 to 4 months(unemployment period Sep 2009 to Sep,2010) for which she gets paid in cash fortnightly by

their parents.

My question is,what kind of evidence she should include in AOS for this type of income

a)Letter signed from parents showing amonuts and frquency of payments with total.or;
b)Receipts given to parents in lieu of "fee income" for teaching :help:

p.s: shes not using co-sponsor and using i-864EZ(but has an option of her father)

Is she making enough currently to meet the poverty guidelines with her tutoring?

I would get both letters from parents and receipts as well.

I called and got my BMB nvc number. Still waiting for the mail.

Grats! It's about time!

My petition was approved on03/04/2011. When can i start calling to NVC? I tried to call couple of times and wanted to give my email id's but operator said they did not have a record of my file. So what does it mean? when can i give them my email id's for future correspondence?

It might take a few days for your case to get to NVC. Just keep calling the AVR and an operator to see if they've received your case yet.

aos input in the system march 9 false RFE delivered. At this rate it's definitely like a 2 week processing time. :joy:

Grats on NVC reviewing your AOS! You're getting closer to the end!

so happy for you saylin!!

Question... On the DS-230, block 22 asks for the father's current address. His address is unknown... should she put "UNKNOWN" in the block, or use her sister's address (which was his last known address)?

Hmm, I think either answer would be okay with NVC. I dunno if they even do anything with the father's address. It might be better to put the sister's address though, just so NVC doesn't see an "UNKNOWN" answer.

what address should we address the employment letter to..should it be

What do you mean if its snail mail, i can pay extra? hmmopf my husband mail it using UPS i think but am really not sure.
Also how would i know if my papers leave the NVC and its already on MNL USEM
and what do u mean by AP? i'm just curious i always saw here on VJ

Thanks

Snail mail = regular mail, as in not email. Most mail carriers like UPS, FedEx, etc have an option to pay more to have a notification of when your package gets delivered to NVC.

To know when your papers leave NVC and head to the embassy, you have to call an operator up and ask. I also think there's an AVR update for that after a CC, but I'm not sure on that.

AP = Administrative Processing. After an interview, some people get put on AP for either a few days or weeks or months. It's usually when the officer feels something is wrong or more information/evidence is needed.

By the way Saylin for the spreadsheet i send both MArch 9:)

Thanks, updated ;)

USPS (not UPS) $18 flat rate for overnight shipping. Tell your husband to look into. No extree fee for online tracking either)

Saylin i have questions:)

How would you know the following:
1. NVC received the docs ( AOS & IV ) i send it together
2. NVC is reviewing it
3. CC
4. Interview date

For all of them: an operator.

Also, if you snail mail documents, you can pay extra to get a notification when NVC gets it. But then it just gets sent to a mail room I believe and sits there for a bit.

You get an email when an interview date has been assigned. But if you consistently call an operator up (at NVC and/or DOS), you'll most likely find out that way first since it usually takes awhile to email things out.

Hmmm...seems I will no longer click on links here from VJ as they aren't always up to date, I must of been going to an old CEAC site because now it's working through the link I pressed on the NVC site.

I spoke with an operator and she said they are the same form but to go ahead and fill out the DS-261 just in case.

Poor me guys. I'm so anxious to get things done. I'm gonna have to stop and wait until my son goes to sleep because I can't concentrate on both things at once.

It's not that the link you had was outdated, it's just for those that aren't doing online forms as well. There's two sites for CEAC: https://ceac.state.g...ice/signon.aspx (just to see and pay bills) and https://ceac.state.g...px?signout=true (to see and pay bills, plus fill out the online DS-261 and DS-260).

You should be fine though, especially if you send the DS-261 as well. NVC won't be getting to your optin email for quite awhile. Mine took 16 days to get accepted, so NVC will most likely see your DS-261 one first.

Because of excitement, getting ahead of myself thinking where to find info on how long would it take from CC to the actual Interview schedule. Filing with WRW - Warsaw Embassy in Poland for beneficiary. This question instigated after our Spreadsheet Sensei mentioned about 2 months wait with Montreal. Just curious? Any direction? Thank you very much!

Well, unfortunately, there doesn't 'seem to be a lot of cases for Poland, so you really can't get much from here: http://www.visajourn...Poland&dfile=No It looks like one month though. Perhaps starting a thread in the Europe regional forum: http://www.visajourn...-uk-and-russia/ and seeing if some Polish people could give you more insight.

This link: http://travel.state..../visa_5163.html is for optional EP (which is what it is in Canada still). If you notice, it's pretty much the same instructions, minus the DS-3032 part.

Congrats for SIF and CC, 2 months wait for interview compared with the passed time is nothing

Thanks! And definitely not complaining about waiting 2 months. I'm very grateful it's no longer 5 months as it was back last year. But, I won't complain if Montreal goes down to 1 month Posted Image

No, I'm using Safari. Ok onto the old laptop I go. Ummm...so was I not supposed to send in the DS-3032 form? Are these forms the same thing? I'm so confused. I sent it in with my OPT IN email as it says to do on the NVC site.

Definitely use IE. Safari and Chrome always give problems with the payment portal site.

Well, the online forms are REQUIRED for Canada now. I believe you were supposed to fill out the DS-261. Where on NVC's site did you see to attach the DS-3032 with the optin email? That's only for those doing EP, but not eligible for online forms. I just sent my optin email by itself and filled out the DS-261 once it was available online. But since these forms are the same thing, I'm not sure if it will make a difference. I'd call an operator up and ask about it.

It's the online version of the Choice of Agent form that can be found on the payment portal site with the DS-260.

I keep pressing Pay Selected Fees...and it doesn't do anything? Is it supposed to take me to another page?

Yeah, it's supposed to. Are you using Internet Explorer? The payment portal is designed for IE and might not work in other browsers.

Received an email from NVC - contains the attached pdf file with 5 pages. In short - it has AOS and IV instruction to make payment. Now also able to login to the NVC site to make payment. Can I select both AOS and IV and make both of these payments at the same time? Using a lawyer for processing the I-130, so nothing mentioned about the Choice of Agent. Email addressed to a lawyer, but copied both to petitioner and beneficiary. I agreed with the lawyer, that I will make payments myself. Any suggestions before doing so?

I know that by having a lawyer, there is no DS-3032 because the lawyer is automatically designated as the agent and because of that both bills are generated at the same time. The only thing I don't know is if you could pay them. I thought your lawyer has to because he's the agent. I'd call up an operator asap and ask about this.

Oh my god, 5 months!! Well, I'm glad it's getting better. In Ukraine it's a month, as far as I know, I guess fewer people come from Ukraine to the US comparing to Canada...

Yeah, just back in January it dropped from a 5 month wait to 2 months. This is due to the new online forms Canadian beneficiaries are required to do. This is getting rid of the mail backlog. I'm hoping it still continues to drop! And I'm sure because of the many people getting visas from Canada caused such a long wait compared to other countries, such as yours.

2 months?! I thought it's a month, are you sure? I'm pretty sure it's a month.

Yup, CC = case complete.

It varies for each consulate/embassy. For Montreal, the time between CC and interview is currently 2 months. It used to actually be 5 months. But they're slowly getting rid of their backlog.

I'd keep calling every few hours if I were you. Some operators for whatever reason don't give it out, while others just give it to you the moment you ask. Depends who you get I guess.

NVC will only accept your DS-3032 once they generate and email you the first package. So it's probably better if you wait till you get that initial email before sending out the DS-3032.

Nope, no case complete yet. Operators say to wait 20 business days after sending in packages for it to be reviewed.

Hey Saylin any upates to your case after they received your packages March 3rd? I was looking at timelines from December (during the holidays...?) and packages were recieved and processed within 3-7 days!! I'm going on a week and you're going on a month! Hope for the best for you.

When I called an operator up yesterday, he said that both packages are under review. Finally! Nearly a month for them to receive it and start reviewing. Wow, 3-7 days?! NVC must have had a lot more time on their hands. I guess they're going through a backlog.
