What does the NOA2 letter says? Can anyone can post it here? Thanks

Here's a link to when I attached a copy of my NOA2. Not sure if it's the same for those in TSC though.

Saylin, your signature mentions forms DS 260 and DS 261 what are those? I thought the only forms we needed in the NVC stage were 230 and 3032. Is it only for electronic processing? thanks!

The DS-261 and DS-260 are online forms that are required for Canada. The DS-261 is the Choice of Agent form (DS-3032) and the DS-260 is the IV form (DS-230).

Saylin, did you mail your Choice of Agent form instead of emailing it? I have a signed hard copy but I was going to just email it. What do you think?

I did neither. Since I live in Canada, we're required to do online forms, one of which is the Choice of Agent. If I didn't do the online forms though, I would have just done the email one with this template: http://www.visajourn...il_DS-3032_form

You can if you want to. Just make sure they're clearly marked with one being the AOS package and the other being the DS-230 package. I've seen many people send in both in the same package and they were fine.

Awesome, thanks! I am trying to breathe and to focus on these forms as I wait...AND my husband has yet to receive his military record. Who knew Paraguay made it such a pain to get it! Anyway, fingers crossed! David, save me!! lol

Yes, definitely a good idea to start with the forms while you wait. Once you get your number, NVC is gonna fly, so you should try as much as possible to have everything ready ahead of time. Then as soon as the bills appear as PAID, you can send off the packages. :D

I'm using the I-864EZ form. Instructions say if you need additional sheets, put your name, SSN, and Form I-864EZ on the top. NVC Case Number is not mentioned in the instructions at all.

Maybe that's just for additional sheets. I would still put the case number as well though. I doubt it would hurt.

In correspondence I got from NVC, they state:

To avoid processing delays when returning documents to the National Visa Center:
? Write the applicant's case number in the subject line of the e-mail when applicable, AND in the
upper right-hand corner of each page of every document.
? DO NOT send documents for ANY OTHER CASES attached to an e-mail.
? DO NOT send information for ANY OTHER CASES in the same envelope unless the NVC's
letter is attached to the front of each case's documents

Yup, you put your case number on the top right of every document. Just don't put it on the cover sheet with the barcode and the cover letter (if you include one).

I see yeah it was Ricky

Than since there Val and Gary and Wade, myself and many others expedited
maybe than just show fastest in and out times and date for all people
and than your right you dont have to track expedties only time at NVC
in an out and dates than everybody is counted whether expedited or
not. All future people expedited will see the faster time and know
it must have been expedited times and dates
thanks

Oh, I know there's other people like you with expedites ready for NVC, but I'm not tracking anything beyond getting a case number. I'm just tracking how long it takes for an approval to get TO NVC. I'm not tracking how long one is IN NVC. You're the only one I know of so far that has gotten an expedite TO NVC, so people can't really compare themselves to your fast trip to NVC but have to look at the others who didn't have an expedite.

LOL
Funny Saylin LOL :bonk: :bonk: :bonk:

YOU have a double standard from Canada

Let me explain Ron :)

You had help and got expedited so your approved case got immediately sent to NVC. But those that don't have attorneys/lawyers, they have to wait for TSC to ship their approved cases to NVC. And part of my spreadsheet tracks how long it's taking for one to get an NVC case number after their case is sent from TSC. Since your case was expedited to NVC, it wouldn't help others to see how long it's taking on average to get to NVC. Do you understand now? It's great that you were able to get to NVC so quickly, but it doesn't help with my data to help others see how long it's taking to get to NVC.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresCalifornia to Texas & Texas to California - Part 2

Ok guys...latest update on our situation.....Gary got a call from the consulate today. They want him to come in and bring his notorized Divorce certificate ib June 22nd at 9a. They did not say this was another interview, they seem to just want this document so they can process to conclusion. They said his medical was just entered today and all is perfect on it. Any ideas on why he can't just send this document in instead of coming in person? At his initial interview they kept his passport and were just waiting for a clear medical. Do you think he just needs to sign some paperwork to finalize the process? I"m an absolute nervous wreck again. They AGAIN said they realize the urgency of our case and we are on expedite. I feel everything wil be OK but after Texas California I am so gun shy.....Peace and love to all.....Posted Image

Weird they're asking for that after they've been saying all they needed was the medical. Have you tried calling and asking if Gary can just email it in? Saves times going there in person. I really hope this ends for you two soon!

Thanks. Its for my father who was here for 8 years and he abandoned his residence in 2009 had valid greed card & social security when he left the states. But right now I am leaving alone and and don't have anyone that can be co-sponsor. I have come all the way with my I-130. I called NVC and ask them and they said its upto officer/embassy, we will let you know if you meet the requirement once we received the paperwork.

Well, you can always try, since you said you filed 2010 taxes and you met the income level. If they don't ask any questions about the sponsor's current job/income at the interview, you might be fine.

Guys I have a question.

When I filed I-130 I was employed. I recently became unemployed and between jobs. My 2010 1040 shows filed income above $18,387 which is the 1-864p, Poverty Guidelines.

Should I be worry? I will put unemployed and show necessary 2009/2010 2w's.

As Me and my wife said, I believe you need to have a current job to be a sponsor. You're most likely going to need a co-sponsor.

Do I need to include previous years tax return even though I clicked on "I included only this year tax return"? Will I get RFE for having less income in previous years?

My employment letter says "XXXX requires this letter for Immigration purposes.". Is this fine?

What is packet 3 and packet 4

I know I have too many question. Thanks in advance

You don't need to include 2007 and 2008, just the most recent year 2009. For us, we included all three years, even though my husband was making below the poverty line. You shouldn't get an RFE if your income was low in previous years. My husband was in school for 2007 and only worked part time, the same for 2008. For 2009, he was in school for half a year, and then started work full time in the second half, so he was just over the line. That's why we included an employment letter and current pay stubs to show that he's now making $40k even though he doesn't have a tax return yet to prove it.

You don't need to say that on the employment letter, it's not needed. It just needs to mention petitioner's name, position, how long he's been working there, and his salary (for the year, not hourly). Then have it signed and date, preferably on company letterhead.

If I remember correctly, package 3 is the DS-230 (among a few others specific to fiancee visas) and package 4 is the interview package. But that's for K-1 visa applicants. People doing K-1 spend little time in NVC and get those packages from their embassy/consulate. They then fill package 3 out and mail it back to the embassy/consulate.

Hey All,

Couple Questions :-

1) Do you get an email or something when they send out the forms to you to fill out ? Just Curious. I have already send the forms in and they have them in the bldg.

2) Once they accept it , do you get an email ? Or just SIF and CC ?

I didn't get an AOS package with the forms and instructions. I just got the DS-230 package with instructions (they don't include the form).

You won't get an email for CC. Only those doing EP I believe get this email as it's from NVC's EP email address. The only way you'll know is if you call an operator frequently. And of course, getting a SIF is a really good indication that your case is complete.

I was like umm I don't know you tell me.

Haha. Yeah, when requesting the IIN, make sure you say "Invoice ID (or Identification) Number". Most operators don't know the same lingo we VJers use. I was so tempted to say SIF and CC on the phone with the operator the other day, but held back since I knew they wouldn't know what the f*** I was talking about Posted Image

I only called in yesterday to add our email's to the account information and I got the iin at that time. Checked in on the payment portal and was eligible to pay the AOS. We haven't actually received any emails from the NVC as they were pretty much closed since I called in at 11 eastern.

So I emailed our DS-3032 under the assumption that the packet was already prepared since the AOS payment was available.

And the person i talked to on the phone at the NVC just made the whole conversation awkward.

CS rep: How may i help you?

me: I was told we can add email addressees to our account so you can contact us, is that correct.

CS rep: That is correct.

....Awkward silence....

me: Can we do that now?

CS rep: You can add whatever information you like.

....Awkward silence....

me: are you ready?

Just a note, NVC works from 7:30am - 12 midnight, that includes operators and those that review files and send out emails and such, so they weren't technically closed when you closed. But who knows how hard they work once the last hour is left of work.

You should be getting that first email from NVC soon then if you gave emails yesterday. It was 3 business days after I got my case number and gave email addresses for my husband and I to get that initial email. But by the time we had gotten it, we had already submitted the CoA form, paid the AOS, and emailed the AOS.

Since you just sent the DS-3032, it should be accepted early next week and then the IV bill will appear.

Um, wow, very awkward conversation. You think the operator would have gotten the hint that you wanted to add the email addresses without having the two awkward silences. Posted Image

CC means Case Complete. It's when your case is done at NVC.

Hi guys

So for the AOS we should have an employment letter plus your tax info for the recent year, and then 2 more years if we want? Or is it just the employment letter or the tax stuff..does it have to be both?

The only thing that's REQUIRED is the most recent year (2009) of tax returns/transcripts. The employment letter is optional as well as the 2 other years for tax stuff (2008, 2007)
