Well.... they should be

Oh, I completely agree. There should be a weekend shift at NVC Posted Image

Trying to print cover sheet but having this error,Server Error in '/CTRAC' Application. it's been 3 hours since i am trying to print, is there any other way to print it.

I never had a problem printing my cover sheet. What browser are you using? Perhaps try another browser and see if that works.

Hi all...I want to say congrats to all that have finally made it to NVC and have received case numbers. The days for us are getting happier...
@ Saylin to update the spreadsheet all bills are paid and I sent the documents ( AOS & IV together) yesterday 02/26. Now to wait for SIF and CC...

Updated the spreadsheet. Grats on your progress! Join me now on waiting for a SIF and CC ;)

No, you weren't supposed to ask for anything else. For whatever reason, a lot of people in this thread have been getting that message. You're only supposed to get it a few weeks after sending in all documents as a sign of CC though...

You're a Genius! You can answer everything, hehehe :)
Btw thanks for clearing up the site, that's why a while ago i got to open it then when i tried to open it again it's SIF and now i figured it out it's for EP :)

It's not for EP, it's for those doing online forms. Two different things.

another question Saylin:)

For AOS and DS-230, when i print it, what should be the size? is it A4 or 81/2x11 ( short )? also will i use both sides of the paper? or print 1 page per paper?

Um, whatever regular paper size is, print that. And I wouldn't print on the back, just on one side.
SaylinFemaleCanada2011-02-26 12:31:00
IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresCSC to TSC to NVC: the Saga continues

thanks saylin, that clears up things :)

That was my intention, to clear things up.

I think i have read few days ago from Saylin that you have to write the NVC number on the right upper corner of each documents that your going to pass? Does is really need to be typed or hand writing is alright?
Also when you said on every documents does it literally mean on every page of the AOS, DS-230? how bout on the IRS, certificate of employment? pay stubs? police clearance? Birth certificate? marriage certificate?

I'm sorry if ask this, I'm just to OC and i don't want an RFE that could delay our papers :)

It's not required or mandatory, but I would highly suggest it. And yes, on every single page of the AOS package (including IRS transcripts, employment letters, pay stubs, each page of the form, etc). Also, every page in the DS-230 package (all pages of the form, all certificates, etc). If you don't feel comfortable writing the case number on certain documents (like birth certificates), some people have used sticky notes and that way, it can simply be removed and no harm is done to the document.
If you don't put the case numbers, you won't get an RFE. But if one of your papers gets lost, at least it'll have a case number and can be relocated to the rest of your package.

im assuming nothing will be invoiced because of the weekend, correct?

I wouldn't think so, no.

Grats to Tina.Benoy and jennie ann for getting case numbers!

Guys, to clear up some confusion. There are two links for the payment portal site.

This site: https://ceac.state.g...px?signout=true is for those doing online forms. It's where we can see the DS-261 and DS-260 and submit them online

This site: https://ceac.state.g...ice/signon.aspx is for everyone else to see the bills, pay them, and print out the cover sheets

cutiezoe, as for when the bills become available: instead of seeing NOT INVOICED, you'll see it say INVOICED. That's when you can pay it. The message will then change to IN PROGRESS while NVC processes your bill. And when it's done, it will show PAID.

Hey guys I found someone tracking DS-230 to interviews in 2008. http://www.visajourn...w/page__st__330
Has anyone seen something more recent? Something more Saylin like?

Well, the numbers on a spreadsheet like that would be all over the place since every embassy/consulate has different waiting times. It'd be better to find a specific spreadsheet for your country. I know there's a Canadian one going on, but I'm not sure if there's a France one.

Then for IIN is a 8 digit number? just to make sure hehehehe
I am so happy..

Yes, you can email it. And yup, the first three letters are the embassy/consulate code and then 10 digits. And yup, the IIN is 8 digits.

Hi Saylin,
On my first 2 calls, I mentioned that people were able to get their IINs at the same time as the CN, but still refused to give it.
After 5 minutes, I called up again. This time the operator gave the IIN. Hmmm..persistence pays off. But then again, why are some people just out to give others a hard time. Oh well..
Oh, the beneficiary number then is not for everyone..?
Do I send out an email now of the DS 3032 template?
Thanks..and bear with us, Saylin!

Yeah, I don't understand why some operators refuse to give the number out when they can. Glad you persisted though and finally got your IIN!

And nope, the beneficiary ID is only for those doing online forms, thus is not needed for most people.

Yup, you can send out the DS-3032 now!

Great! I feel so totally accomplished. I can't believe the next step in this process is INTERVIEW DATE! It seems so surreal. I did overnight express (FYI DO NOT SEND OVERNIGHT UPS IT'S $50 USPS IS A FLAT RATE OF $18!!!!) so they should be getting the package tomorrow. I'm hoping I can have the SIF in 2 weeks. Although you've been waiting for 24 days, is it because Canada is more backed up?

At this stage, waiting for a CC doesn't matter on what country you're from. That's only when you're waiting for an interview date. For me, it's about 2 months from CC to interview for the Montreal consulate. And yes, I've been waiting for 24 days now. An operator tonight suggested that I re-send the documents by email since they still hadn't received/reviewed them. So, I did. Posted Image

Hi All,

I just got my NVC Case and IIN . She said invoice is not ready. But I still wanted to log in and check. Here is what the website says :-

"Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time. Please contact the National Visa Center if you believe that you have received this message in error. "

Do you think its too early for me to check as I have not received the email yet and the operator said the invoice will take some time to get generated.

Thanks in Advance.

It took two days for my AOS bill to appear. But the day after I got my case number, NVC closed, so it was technically the next business day. Your AOS should appear early next week.

Hey, guys! Just called NVC twice, and on both times, the operators told me that they cant give me the IIN, and they dont need me to give the beneficiary's email IDs, since the husband ( petitioner) will be emailed. WTH? Even told me there is nothing they can do, and we just have to wait for instructions. Grrr..
Has these happened to anyone? Why wouldn't they give us the IIN???? The 2nd CSR ( by the way, the name is Kim, wth an Asian accent) even said it will do us no good.

First off, you don't need the beneficiary ID number. That is only for those doing online forms, like Canadians.

As for the IIN, the operator that said it would do no good is a bunch of #######. It's needed for the payment portal. I'd keep calling and see if you can get an operator that can give it to you. I was able to get my IIN at the same time as my case number. If an operator refuses, tell them that you personally know people that have gotten the IIN from operators. Hopefully you can get it!

Saylin Help! lol.

I sent my IV packet today! :dancing: I know you're doing EP so it might be different. But is there anything else I need to do?! Do I have to send for DS 2001 to the consulate so they know that my hubs needs an interview or is that only for K1? I didn't realize before that VJ is dedicated so much to K-1 finance visas. Thanks. (to anyone who knows the answer)

Now that you've sent all your packets, you're done! Just sit back and relax for your SIF and CC. Never heard of the DS 2001, so that's gotta be a K1 thing.

hey saylin,

i just called NVC , looks like i might have my NVC number sooon. The operator said we are entering it in the system as we speak. so u can call back after sometime. I will update as soon as i get it. Will call them in couple hours.

Quick Question :-

Once I have NVC Case # & Invoice Identification Number, wait for their email . Once I have the DS-3032 email from them. Should i just go ahead and email them the DS-3032 email ? Also I do have the physical copy of the form , should i send tat also. Or just the Email is good enough. Should I attach the copy of it or just email in correct format should be good enough.

Appreciate your Help !!!

You can go ahead and send the email. No, you don't attach a copy of the DS-3032, just follow the template for the email.

Thank you for the info! The only thing about the new photo I took is that it doesn't capture to the middle of his chest- it's more like slightly above top of head to slightly below collarbone. I have another question! Not surprising, right? :P So I have a bunch of copies of the passport-style photograph that my husband had made to send with the I-130. I'm reading that NVC wants the picture to be taken within the last 6 months, but that photo was taken in July of last year (when I filled out the petition). Do you think if I send another 2 copies of the same photo NVC will reject them?

I'm not sure if they'd reject them. I also had a couple copies left over from back in August, but they were the wrong size, so I had to get new ones anyways. If you have a camera and glossy paper, you can do passport pictures by yourself. Just follow the requirements on NVC's site (http://travel.state....tml#photographs), then crop them here: http://www.epassportphoto.com/ The site puts 5 of your pictures (all 2" x 2") ready to be printed on a 4" x 6" picture paper. Super easy and completely free Posted Image

Nevermind, guys, I remembered I took a new photo of him when I was over there! Whew.

what is that mean
Note:
This service requires the use of a touch-tone telephone.
i read it on the nvc website..i'm calling by magic jack phone
there is no even automated voice alwayes busy

Keep trying. Depending what time of the day, you might have to call multiple times to get through.

You need to have a phone that has the keys 1-9 so you can input your CIS receipt number. If you don't have a touch-tone phone then you won't be able to use the AVR.

Good morning to all, I am sure this has already been asked/answered, but I couldnt find the thread.

I was approved on 2/16/2011, and I just received my NVC#. so now all i need to do is call NVC and get the IIN(Invoce Identification Number)and thats it. I've read somewhere asking for the beneficiary ID #, is this also correct? and what is this for?

Also, once I get the NVC#, I can submit the DS-3032 form/email and then wait till the invoice gets generated and pay for the fees, or do I need to or do I need to wait for the DS3032 to get approve...

Please help.

Grats on getting your case number! Call up an operator and get the IIN and give over your email addresses.

Don't worry about the beneficiary ID. That's only for those doing the online forms which are limited to select countries. Your country is ineligible.

Yes, you can email the DS-3032. Check the payment portal, as soon as a bill appears, pay it. Don't wait for anything.

Saylin,

I have a question for you since you already send your AOS package. I just paid my AOS processing fee and was looking at the form I-864. I came to know that I have to download form I-864 from USCIS.gov. Does that mean I have to send the AOS package to USCIS (TSC) for review? Please tell me NO.

No no no, you send it to NVC. USCIS is just a site with the forms. Don't worry, you don't have to deal with TSC anymore.

That was EXACTLY what the operator told me. Mine was also shipped on the 16th, and she said it's at NVC now. Why would it take 4-6 weeks for a number to be generated?
Saylin said, however, that that is their STANDARD answer.

Yup, it's their standard timeframe. You'll hear 4-6 weeks or 6-8 weeks to get information. Currently, I'm hearing the boring timeframe of 20 business days for packages to be reviewed. Don't listen to operators when they give timeframes. Posted Image

Also I was wondering if anyone knew what this was
Original/Certified Passport Office Police Certificate for Beneficiary and a copy

Is just a police clearnance okay or do I need something else?

Don't worry about sending your W2s from 2010. My husband didn't. We just sent an employment letter and 7 months of pay stubs from his current job to prove income for 2010.

And don't worry about that. That's for Indian beneficiaries I believe. You just need one police certificate and that's all.

Beneficiary is allowed. I'm the beneficiary and I'm doing all the calling and emailing :)

I call AVR everyday (no case number again today from the avr system) and spoke to an operator last night who said that it was received by NVC on the 21st and that I had no case number, and it could take 4-6 weeks. That was the latest update from them.
