Saylin, we have the interview scheduled for May 25th! I have a question for you - did you get any medical forms in mail or by email? We did not, just the notice about the interview's date. In the past, I remember that they used to send some forms for the medical exam. Maybe they don't do it now...

Grats on getting your date! Posted Image

Nope, no medical forms are sent out. You fill the form out at the medical.

Here's some information for the medical in Ukraine: http://travel.state....T-0001-1001.pdf

Thanks :)

Do you think that is better sent the documents from El Salvador to NVC or will be better send documents to my husband and he can send them since he is my agent? Thanks in Saylin

I don't think it really matters, as long as NVC gets them.

Hi everybody, I have a question does the AOS packet and the IV packet can be mailed at the same time?? I have the doubt if the AOS is first..
Thanks in advance.

Monica

You can send them both at the same time or as soon as one is ready, it doesn't matter.

Hi Saylin

My AOS packet approved on 04-04-2011. So update me in spreadsheet.

These are the only dates I'm concerned with on my spreadsheet: NOA2, date NVC assigned a case number, date AOS package was sent, date IV package was sent, and case complete date. Don't care about any other dates :P But grats on having your AOS accepted Posted Image

not signed into any portal, and do we send the ds-3032 or can it be emqailed? totaly lost now this is upon us
who do we tell that we want to be the persons that deal with this, and not a lawyer/attorney?

The payment portal is: https://ceac.state.g...ice/signon.aspx That's where you pay bills.

Yes, the DS-3032 can be emailed. That's how most people here do it. You can find the template and instructions here: http://www.visajourn...il_DS-3032_form

Perhaps you should read some guides that I linked to in the first post on this thread: http://www.visajourn...ers-april-2011/

Grats on getting your case number! Posted Image Have you signed onto the payment portal site yet to see if the AOS bill has been invoiced? Don't forget you're going to need to send the DS-3032 so the IV bill can appear once that's accepted.

Hi Saylin, I have a question can everybody submit the choice of agent and address by email? does it work?
Thanks in advance

Yes, anybody can submit the Choice of Agent by email. Just follow the template here: http://www.visajourn...il_DS-3032_form It seems to work for everyone, although it seems it might take a few days for it to be accepted, so you might have to wait a bit, but NVC will accept it.

Sent AOS packet today by Fedex from Hong Kong. Then realized I didn't write NVC # on upper right-hand corner of every page! I hope this doesn't cause a delay!

Don't worry about it. Writing the case number on the top of each page is merely a suggestion in case a paper gets lost and then can easily be relocated to the case. Not writing the case number will not generate an RFE. You're okay ;)

:( :( :( I don't get why you were denied since your AVR changed to saying your case was sent to the consulate. Have you tried calling another operator to confirm your denial? Perhaps that operator mis-read it or something.

I did call an operator, she said it was sent to the consulate and we will be notified if the expedite was approved by the consulate. Does it mean they may not accept it?

Thanks for your help

I thought when it came to expedites, NVC would send the request to the US Embassy, and if it was accepted, then send the case off to the Embassy. I didn't think they sent any forms or anything by mail until the expedite was approved. But I could be wrong on this; I don't know that much about expedites. Try calling another operator and asking the same question.

Saylin, Are you there? If so, I've got a question.

Do you know whar does it mean when they say "case forwarded to consulate, waiting for consulate reply", does it mean the expedite was approved?

I'm always here ;)

Hmm, that does seem like the expedite was approved since your case was forwarded and they only forward it if either your case has been completed or an expedite was approved. The best way to know for sure though is to call an operator up.

no time to explain , head full of mush, am on phone with wife as i type , need toknow number for NVC , and what exactly are we asking the operator?

NVC's phone number is 603-334-0700. Once you give your CIS receipt number, just ask if your case has been assigned an NVC case number yet. If it has, ask what it is, as well as the Invoice ID number, and then give over your email addresses.

The I-130 inquiries email replied to the email I sent on Monday with the following:

What. I'm the beneficiary, so I guess maybe they messed up and meant beneficiary when they said petitioner. I didn't say anything about an attorney in the email since we're not using one.

Still nothing from Ms. Barrows.

I believe USCIS only gives information to the petitioner, and not the beneficiary. I remember someone in this thread, I believe, that they called USCIS, but because they were the beneficiary, they weren't allowed to receive any information. You might have to have your spouse, the petitioner, email them.

Spoke to NVC representative today and my case is closed as of today. She said interview will be around second week in May and I will get an email with exact date and time.

yes, we mailed all the supporting docs. Now, I guess is waiting for the interview right? how long until they email case complete? and how much longer for interview? we were going to try to expedite but we were told that sometimes it takes longer since they send your case directly to the embassy and Juarez in Mexico is behind .. it will be faster to do it the normal processing time.. I say in June we go to the interview...

You're waiting for case complete now, not an interview date. If you just emailed your documents last week, it'll take about 2 weeks to review both packages and then case complete if no RFEs. After you get a case complete, then you're waiting for an interview date. And I can't predict how long that will take as I don't know the processing times for Mexico, only Canada.

I sent my packages on thursday march 18.. I have not received notification. so what is the next step.. we scanned everything and sent in in pdf file the 864 and then apply for visa ( i think is ds230 not sure ) online.... so is there anything else after this?

The only notification you're going to get is a case complete email. They don't email you when they receive or review files, you have to call an operator to find that out. The online DS-230 is called the DS-260. It's the same process for Canada. Did you email the supporting documents (passport pics, marriage cert., birth cert, etc) for the IV package after you finished completing the DS-260?

Hey guys It has been a while. I was extremely busy, computer crashed (thank God for warranty) and then I got so sick. I got pneumonia and I was pretty sick.. I am feeling much better.

Well I just gotta tell you where I am... I hope everything goes smooth.. we sent affidavit of support and apply electronically for visa so it seems that the last step is waiting for interview.. It seems that we will have to apply for the waiver also because of the overstay..lawyer is saying no more than a month after the interview because of my daughters situation... how long after you apply for visa do they give you the interview?

Glad you're feeling better.

What dates did you send in the AOS and IV apckages? Has your case been completed at NVC yet? Getting an interview date after CC varies by each embassy/consulate. I don't know the wait times for Mexico.

Added bonus, the letter didn't include my last name, they replaced it with "A", which is not even an initial for my last name. Not inspiring confidence...

Sign In Failed

* Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time. Please click on the Contact the NVC hyperlink if you believe that you have received this message in error.

What does this mean?

Unfortunately, in the last month or two, a LOT of people have been unable to sign into the payment portal. It doesn't mean much, but that you have to wait. NVC needs to fix their payment portal Posted Image
