If you look closer at their timeline, they were approved on 11/30, so it took NVC more than a week to get their case. Speaking of constant contact, my wife asked me to leave my laptop's Skype turned on today as she watched me deliver a lecture at work Oh yes, I'm definitely very grateful that I can talk with my husband a lot! It's the only thing keeping me sane I think as we wait for our NOA2. Jan 27th will be 6 months for me and I am separated from my 1.5 yr old son and 3 yr old daughter (and husband), I'm going mad! Did anyone else get a notification in late November that their case was transferred from TSC to "a local USCIS office"? My senator checked up on my case just now and she said Detroit (my local USCIS office) said they didn't have it and that it was still at TSC. Anyone have a similar experience? I made a spreadsheet at the beginning of November for everyone that was transferred. I'm able to show my wife Miami and I can have a video-conference from wherever I am! The best part- no wi-fi needed, Skype for iPhone works on 3g I don't have the iPhone, but an Android and it does have the Skype app on it. But unfortunately, my phone's on Verizon (I got it while I was in the USA in the summer), so I can't use it to make calls while I'm in Canada or I'll be charged for roaming. My husband and I just Skype at night after we've both eaten, but we talk all day on an IM client while he's at work and I'm at home. And when either of us are away from the computer, we text each other on our phones (no roaming charges for that, thank goodness). This is my time line if someone wants to add me to the spreadshet. July 4th - I sent package Priority Date -July 6th Notice day- July 14 NOA1 Nov 02- Transfer notice date Nov 08- I received hard copy Nov 24- Received email from TSC saying that my case was transferred and this office will make a decision. Nov 29- Last Updated Ok I have been waiting for 6 months and 1 week.. No reading through the emails and notices. I find that yes.. the clock is reset. Why I say this, because the first time I called, the lady told my husband since he is the petitioner that I was outside the time frame and I was supposed to receive a call within 30 days. Well, 11 days have passed and nothing. One of my friends told me to expedite and that is when I look at this post to ask for advice. we called last week to request an expedite and now when you call customer service they say to wait 180 from the transfer to get an update. They did not have that the previos week.I am sure they are getting bombarded with questions. Anyways, the lady told me that they were om time since november 2nd and my husband told him why they told us last week it was outside the processing time. She told us that unfortunately we were in the thousands of applicants that get transferred. Then we tried the expedite and she read to us a bunch of rules they have and she asked us if we have medical reasons. We told them, we needed to expedite because I have a down syndrome baby. She requires therapy. Since my visa expired while being in the usa, I have to leave to go to the consulate for interview and applied for a waiver. So my husband said that if I dont leave the country in the summer and that is why we applied in July because we were tld it takes about a year, I would have to leave in the middle of the school years and if I am away more than 40 days out of the country my daughter DS looses her spot in her theraphy and we have to reapply to the programs. All my kids are us citizens and my husband too. The lady said that she will send me a form within 5 days. I haven't received anything yet.. but what do you guys think... sorry it took so long, I just need to talk to someone besides my hubby about it. Added you! Thanks for your dates. Aug 21 NOA1 Notice Date (CSC) hardcopy (*) Aug 16 NOA1 Priority Date (CSC) hardcopy (*) Nov 02 Date of Transfer to TSC "for processing" on notification email Nov 03 Notice Date on NOA hardcopy about Transfer to TSC "in order to speed up processing" Nov 29 Date of "Post Decision Activity" "a USCIS office received this case from the State Department" email / web status Nov 30 Notice Date on NOA hardcopy "to advise you that we have received [the petition] back from the Dept of State [for review]" (*) Received this notice twice, for whatever reason, first postmarked Aug 24 and second postmarked Nov 03. Both are from the CSC. Nov 30 was the last action on my case, and it was just now that I started getting worried and found this thread. I've just read all 127 pages of bad news. The optimism of this group overall is pretty remarkable, given that only one person of one hundred has really passed to the next step. It seems to me there's no telling how far out the average will be for this group, but I've moved my expectation date of obtaining my wife's visa from late March to early July, best-case scenario. My 5-month mark from my NOA1 priority date was on Jan 13, so I've officially waited long enough to make my futile complaints, of which I will begin tomorrow. God save us all.
