K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	I require a sponsor-	Being in school/university might have counted as a valid reson for not making enough but that there's be a future income to gain. HOwever, since you're not in school now and you're not making enough, you have two options as of right now; 1 - you have your dad be the co-sponsor and hope for the best. 2 - you find a second job to stay above the minimum income. I'd go for a second job and have proof of that income at time of interview. You have quite a few months to secure the extra income needed. After your fiancee arrives(and you go back to school) you can use your dad as a joint sponsor. Thank you. Looks like acquiring a 2nd job would be the best course of action. My dad talked to a congressman and he said he'll be able to co-sponsor, but I see from alot of people that Philippines doesn't accept k1 co-sponsors.. I'm in a bind here. I currently make roughly gross 16k+ a year. I heard to have a parent cosponsor is good but I'm also planning to finish college and I'm only 18years old. My 2 kids uses my x' last name but we were never married legally that is why i have no issues bringing my 2 kids here. My USC husband filed I-130 for my kids coz we planned it that we will get my kids once i am settled here. Just make sure she was not married before and to make sure get a CENOMAR first before doing anything else. Good luck! you've cleared all my worries, thank you! We want to bring her kids later after we settle down because her son's birth certificate shows that she is married with the baby daddy but she never married also the son has his dads last name , but her daughter , the younger, has hers moms last name and doesn't say they were married. They were never married and this was an error on whoever issued the birth certificate. Now I'm hearing ill need to come up with 2 grand to change the birthcetificate. So why have 5 months be on the site if in actuality it's nowhere near that? Ill service request at 5 months and we'll see where that gets me. Im just experiencing one of those days where i really wish i had my love in arms, and to those still waiting, ill be there soon, and ill be killing myself wondering why i didnt take the i-130 route. If you call USCIS national calling center, I suggest you do this. Call the number and just wait on phone! I was let go yesterday because they were cutting down and I have a new job starting Tuesday under the same agency and same pay $10/hr. I didn't work much last year and I only got $100 from taxes because I was still schooling.. Am I fine..? On the initial i-129f i put the mother's last name in place of the father's because we were going to resolve it, but now interview is coming close and we havent and arent going to. On the DS forms I had put the child's real surname of the father...
