Asia: East and PacificHow long did it take for you to get your NOA2?
QUOTE (JonasMichaels @ Nov 18 2008, 01:45 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hi all, especially Vietnam journey members - how long did it take before you got your NOA2? Is there an average time wait for that? What is it? It would really put my mind at ease to know... it has been 50 days since I filed my I-129f.
Thanks
Jonas

I got mine 4 months after NOA1. There are some who got theirs. Also some who got theirs longer. Its a case to case basis.

Is the interview letter Packet 4? Or did they not send us Packet 4?

I don't know about other consulates, but US Embassy Manila doesnt send out packet 4, they only send the interview letter. The packet 4 can be downloaded at the embassy website. Goodluck.

By the way, Packet 4 contains the forms that the beneficiary needs to fill out. And also instructions on what to bring to the interview. Its all found at the embassy website. Hope this helps.

Visa Photographs is one of the requirements on the interview. I already have some passport photographs here same ones i used when getting my passport. So are visa and passport photographs the same?

Phlippine passport [ 4.5 cm x 3.5 cm.] and visa photos are different size. US passport and visa are the same 2"x2".

prepare cenomar... as of oct 2008, there are revisions to requirements and document verification was removed, instead, they now require CENOMAR (for single) and MARRIAGE INDEX (for married)... just browse the website and see for yourself

Please let us know the web site you are referring to. I looked under the Manila Embassy web site and it says:

"K-1, K-3, CR-1, IR-1, F-1 and F2-B applicants will normally have their documents verified at the National Statistics Office (NSO) before the U.S. Embassy Manila can issue the visa. The cost of the document verification is PhP 650 per applicant."

The link is here: http://manila.usemba...v/wwwh3219.html

Look towards the bottom of the page.

right IzelNAl. the last time i checked it still shows that documents has to be verified and you need to pay the Php 650.00 to any Metro bank branches preferrable 3 weeks before the interview.

Yes.. most definately.. all visa applicants must pay it.. coz the embassy will conduct their own verification even if you have your BC and CENOMAR.

Have a good day!!

thank you ccndyeth. that helped

Definitely YES, you have to pay the DV. After the interview, your documents will be forwarded to NSO to be verified, once your documents have been verified then they will sent it back to USEM then they will send you your visa. You will not have your visa if your docs are not verified by NSO.

thanks spartan. that helped.

I'm just confused. I already have my Authenticated copy of my Birth certificate and also my Certificate of No Marriage. Do I still need to pay for the Document Verification even if I already have those documents?

Thank You to all those who will take time to reply to this post.

Hello my fiancee was interviewed 8 weeks and 1 day from this date. Is there anyone can tell me how long does it take to receive her visa and by the way they called her about her expired NBI on Oct. 14, 2008. She mailed the new NBI on Oct. 16.
How would i know the position and sittuation of our papers if indeed went NSO or pass NSO already.

NEED HELP PLS>

Based on people's timeline here in visajourney, visa is delivered 3-10 days after the interview, that is if she has submitted perfectly complete documents and the document verification was already sent by NSO to the US Embassy. Did the CO gave her a blue or white slip after her interview? What did the consul tell her?

sweet! thank you both for answering asap!
will get on that first thing in the morning.

have a blessed christmas!

On my interview I brought with me both mine and my fiancee's updated letter of intent to marry, they were not asked from me by the consul anyways, but it's always good to have those documents handy just in case Mr. or Ms. Consul is in a not-so-good mood. Goodluck.
