Whoo hoo, our money orders have been cashed for the Biometrics fee and the I-751 application fee. Now I guess it will be about a year before we see any further action now that USCIS has our cash laughing.gif !

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionHELP! For friend of my husband..your advice
First of all this woman definitely has commitment issues, sounds like she's had a bad past, things we don't know about, she definitely needs to see a psychologist. It sounds like she will very unlikely get any help from what you've put. I'd get him to do everything - Kathryn41 said to do, he needs to get out of this relationship, find someone who is ganna give him respect and love. Get him to make sure he is prepared to remove conditions when the time comes around.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionJust a quick question about if you have an interview
QUOTE (cooper @ Nov 28 2008, 09:16 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
You still have to wait for approval and that looks like it is taking about 10 to 12 months from the VSC. They could notify you for a interview anytime before you receive the approval notice.

I see, thank you for the info and thank you for replying.

Is good to know.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionJust a quick question about if you have an interview
Just a quick question, was wondering, even if you have your biometrics done and your waiting for your green card, can they still contact you to go for an interview? I thought if you had received your biometrics letter, got that done, then you'd be well on your way. wacko.gif

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionDid you notify SSA after u got ur 10 yr green card
blink.gif I thought you would have to let them know, after all you were only a "lawful" permanent resident, don't they need to know that that has been lifted and you are now an "actual" permanent resident???? that your going to be here at least for the next 10 years, unless you become a citizen.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionI-751 Getting Package ready
QUOTE (Kathryn41 @ Nov 26 2008, 04:20 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Your information looks very similar to mine and because you are also doing 4 years as we did you have a lot of documents. I put it into a box - one of the priority post boxes from USPS - and it fit perfectly (364 pages). We also don't have a lease and the mortgage is only in my husband's name but I addressed that issue in the cover letter. I think you have enough other evidence of co-mingling your lives that you won't need to worry about that one. Good luck!

holy #######! 364 pages! blink.gif ohmy.gif

Anyways, good luck another1! I just received my biometrics letter, from what I see from other topics it's going to be a long wait for the card to get into your hands sad.gif

I just wanted to let anyone know if anyone filed in Nov 2008 (when I filed) that my 10 year green card is in production and on it's way, so it looks like Vermont is moving through.

Good Luck to everyone and thank you for this website! don't know what we would have done without it!

good.gif smile.gif

i gues card production has not started it yet.

exactly... cray5ol.gif

I'll give my "congrats" to people who actually receive their GC! yes.gif

Why? is it taking people forever to get their green cards in hand?

Conditional resident is a permanent resident so the only other time you have to contact SSA is when you become a USC.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionI have a question about UK passport and US greencard
Hello! I just had a quick question, I want to get my name changed from my maiden name to my married name on my UK passport, but I was just wondering about the address on my passport, I just keep the UK address the same right? even though the address on my US green card will obviously be my US address where I'm living right now.

Thank you for any feed back.
