K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresAddress in the US where I intend to live......
Just as flutter95, you need to put an address on the forms no matter what, so it will be fine to put your fiancee's parents address, thats what we did and then when your over here in the US, fill out an AR-11 form within 10 days of moving into the address, I would also ring USCIS of your new address, and inform them, thats what I did when we moved into our new apartment, better to be safe than sorry. :)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresK1 visa...can you just marry anyone?
I guess you don't fully understand the in and outs of how the K1 visa works, you can only marry the petitioner, the person who had to apply for you to come over to the US.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresVWP Enrty Denial
oooh, I went through there, the officers there seem really nasty, like they're in a real bloody bad mood all the time, I almost got denied entry through there, seems like many people do for some reason, but this lady immigration officer looked at me like a was a dirty smelly criminal, with her nose up in the air looking down at me. When I went through there I had only been to visit my finace about 4-5 weeks previous to that trip I was going on and I wanted to go see my fiance and fill out all the K1 paperwork together, get all the information, etc, but this wasn't a good enough reason, she was like  why do you need to do it together, I was like umm, cos we want to, it's like what the hell is wrong with that? it's so bloody ironic, you can't travel over and see each other too much otherwise immigration think your ganna stay in the US and not go back but when you have to submit evidence about your relationship you have to show that you've been together, want to be together, actually in a relationship, but whatever, anyways, I had to be interviewed by another officer, I had to wait like half an hour to see one, she seemed "ok" and she asked me about 50 questions, why am I going over there? why else??? duh, what job do you do? who paid for your plane ticket? do you have a return ticket?, etc etc etc etc, oh man, I had traveled many times before this trip and I had every intention of going back, I had done many times before, but she finally said next time make sure you have a letter from your employer to show when you'll be coming back, then she finally stamped my passport and let me through and that wasn't the end of it, they f**ked up my luggage and when I arrived in Boston, US, it wasn't there, Airlingus never put my suitcase on the plane from Ireland  a word of warning to everyone, DON"T EVER TRAVEL THROUGH IRELAND, thats just my opinion.

Sorry I can't be of much help for situation chapelashelle, but I can kinda sympathize, I hope someone out there can help you with your question. I just wanted to let other people know as well of what hell it is to go through Ireland.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedureswhere to get the US photos in UK

Okay, passport photos in the UK are different sizes to US passport photos.

I need to get some photos for the application, and the only place I know of that does them is in London near the embassy - I live about a 4 hour drive away.

Does anyone know of where I can get some of these taken to fit the pack regulations?

Can I take them myself?

Many thanks in advance.

Snappy Snaps! The embassy says they are up to regs.

Thats where I did mine! in Snappy Snaps at the top of southend high street, hehe.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresEntering the country married with a K-1 visa
I think you really have to get married in the USA first, thats the point of the fiance visa, they are letting you getting married over here, then once your married, done your AOS, then have ceremony in Peru, that would be my safe bet I think.

If I'm wrong, I'm sure someone else will give you advice, but you should really get married in the US first.

My fiancee and I have just sent our paperwork in so we are a long way from our wedding day, but we are thinking of the logisitics of our wedding. She is from Peru, so one option we thought of, once the K-1 visa has come through, is for me to go down to Peru, where we will have the ceremony with the families and be married and then we come back up the USA and stop in at my local marriage office where we get married again in the USA. Technically this is not legal since she will not be my fiance when we enter the USA but in reality is this going to cause any problems later on down the line since we can pretend to the US govemment that the wedding in Peru never actually happened??

Any thoughts would be appreciated

Right. It's not legal and it will cause problems. She would need a spousal visa to enter the country once she is married - it's NOT a technicality. A K1 is to bring a foreign fiance to the US, marry in the US and stay in the US.

Better to have a non-binding ceremony in Peru that is not legal in the US (in some countries a religious ceremony is not legally binding - is this the case in Peru?) and then get married officially in the US according to the rules of the visa or wait and get the appropriate kind of visa for a spouse.

Exactly

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresage gap question
There is almost 10 years between me and my husband, he is 35 and I'm 25 and we didn't have a problem with getting the Visa with our age difference. You will be fine, just prove you have a bona fide relationship and you will have no problems. good.gif
