K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresDisability and K-1 Visa
AFAIK it is not an option for deniability based soley on being disabled / differently abled as this would constitute prejudice.
There is more than one VJ member whose foreign fiance/fiancee has disabilities and this has not proved an obstacle.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresK-1 application
#5 yes you can - I purchased a round trip to the usa from uk - with an american flight company. I see no legal impediment why you wouldnt be able to get a one way to London from the USA - your nationality is irrelavent - waht matters is that you have the correct paperwork (in your case, a passport)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNerves
I'm not taking my 10 year old cos she has school - if she was younger.. I wouldn't take her then either  Kids get bored SOOOO fast and its MORE stressful trying to keep the little ones from running around, imo, than to sit alone.
As for nerves
Well theres only 2 ways it can go to my way of thinking.. and thats YES or No
If yes - well groovy!
If no - usually they give u leave to appeal or re-submit - so thats also groovy. (Obviously Im talking straightforward cases here)

Thing is - do you remember waiting for exam results to come thru?
Did it help that you worried yourself into an early grave? Or was your worrying completely seperate from what other people were doing, ie marking your exam.
My point is - stop.. you stressing and worrying can't change what will happen 3 days from now.
Get some sleep and best of luck (F)

Good Luck at your interview. My husband once fiance was from England. Everything went fast and smooth. We had a wonderful marriage. I love him very much. Unfortunately we were only married 3 years and he passed away. 47 yrs old ---heart attack, now trying to get his 19 yr old here with me. I promised my husband I would take care of him. ANt info on how to get him here???? HELP

Holly

Commiserations on your sad loss :(
As for your step-son.. was he ever included as part of the K1 application (as possible follow-to-join K2)?
If not.. you will probably get better info on the thread 'bringing realtives to the US'.. you might find consulting an immigration attorney of benefit - at least to explore options and time frames.

To rusty_ash - glad you guys sorted things out!

Sir: I am an active Army soldier. I put in an application DEC 02 for a fiancee visa for my fiancee from China. I just got back from a 10-month-long deployment of supporting of OEF and OIF. It has been 1 year. I haven't received the visa date. Should an active duty soldier have the priority?

Dear WA

I deeply regret the problem you are having with obtaining a fiancee visa. Thank you for your tremendous service to America. Please contact Debbie Bevins at 202 273 4800 to determine the status of your visa and assist if possible.

Def agree with Yodrak, I too belive deployment for a member of the military is a valid reason for expediting cases (USCIS have only about 1 or 2 reasons they will do this) but also you might wanna bypass the congressman and go straight for your senator - bigger strings can pulled at that level I'm sure.
Best of luck and stay safe out on post.

Nebraska are currently sending their K1s to CSC for processing, so you did nothing wrong.
There are a couple of threadds dealing with this in the K1 and USCIS topics

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresTransferring your cash
Usually, bank to bank international wire (electronic) transfer is the safest as it involves the sending of data rather than cash.
Or, depending on the amounts to be transferred in the case of some of these, you can use PayPal, HiFX (hifx.com), XE.com, or similar.

They aren't on hold - they are subject to new security checks on teh USC - no-one knows yet how much delay this may cause.
There's a very long thread in this forum (K1) about info on IMBRA' which you can read. :)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresPoint of Entry
Is this after you have the K1? Your timeline isn't clear - according to that you are at packet 3 stage...
If its after K1 then when you go to immigration the K1 holder will get taken to secondary immigration while they go thru all the paperwork (that mysterious brown envelope! lol) and check the info is all present and correct, and ask questions - everyone's experience is diffferent on the questions.
Let them *know* you have a connecting flight - I'd say that a four hour window SHOULD be plenty of time, but if secondary immigration is chock full and busy I don't know how long the processing might take.
Some people are in and out in minutes, others have to wait longer.
I'm sure others will have info to add as well here :)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedureshave not recived hard copy of NOA2 yet
I don't about HCMC directly - but at London the document I showed most often was the appointment letter - it had the ref # on it that the Embassy uses, and came in packet 4.
But you *will* need it for AOS - so see if you can get another that you can keep at home (in US) - I think if you leave it and need another at AOS time it costs an extortionate amount of $

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresCSC having a laugh?
Sometimes they lose things - or the more pc version 'items become detached due to the large volume of applications dealt with' so they ask you for things you sent already; if they do don't bother arguing just re-send.
Sometimes, despite our best efforts, we forget to sign things (so many forms, its easy to miss one) so you can get RFE'd for that as well..
But I still think you are worrying too soon..the average NON IMBRA time for CSC is between 90-120 days from NOA1, and WITH Imbra its likely to be a bit more than that.
Jaylen BritNot TellingUnited Kingdom2006-06-16 05:21:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresCSC having a laugh?
Well I went thru CSC and it took 92 days for I-129f approval, (and 188 days from filing to interveiw) and that was PRE-IMBRA..so no they aren't that fast normally, even prior to the new change..so I wouldn't start panicking yet.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresanyone have/had this same problem?

Hey Jaylen...

In your timeline it says that on 24 Mar the case was sent to London...did you get anything other information to keep you afloat after that? And how did you know it was sent to London? Did you call NVC or email, etc?

Arrghhh...I'm so worried about this because I REALLY don't want things screwed up!

I think I did email NVC, who had told my fiance over the phone they had no record of my case - they replied to me by email about a week after I inquired, saying it had gone to London already - the date it went was about 4 days BEFORE my fiance called when they said they didn't have it
After that I decided not to email London, cos I had a feeling they'd say the same thing..and I'd either get panicky or filled with false hope..and having gone thru CSC with all the waiting I didn't want the stress of 'when, when, when' again..life is just TOO SHORT! lol
As it turned out I got packet 3 fairly soon (about 2 weeks I think) after they (London) got it.

BTW I double checked the email I posted and it IS correct - I copy pasted directly rfrom a reply they sent me, LondonConsular@state.gov unless there's been a recent change in the last 3 weeks.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresK1 Question 18 on i129F
We put down all the dates as well truffles (your 'look like a plank' comment made me laugh, its so london, made me feel homesick b4 I even LEFT! lol).
Like you our first visit we had NO pix of us together the first time, cos we did the exact same thing! lol.
BUT I had kept my boarding passes etc, even sme old visa bill showing a meal paid for and other small stuff, and we sent copies of those.
We had more detailed stuff we could send for later visits so I figured it all went to just building up the bigger picture. We had no RFE's so I guess we were right :)
Good luck.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresExpired NOA2 on POE??
I answered this in another thread - in the US one I think..but the answer is no. The K1 visa is the one that must be valid at POE, and ideally also before you apply for AOS. Forget NOA2, its time is done.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresDept of Justice in Sacramento, Ca.
First off hi :)
Second - why are you getting this info? Is it in anticipation of IMBRA generated new forms? Or has UCIS told you you need to get it?
Also if you've HAD an FBI background check in the past any new FBI checks SHOULD (stress the word) only need to be done from the date of the last one to present time to make sure no crimes were on file in the intervening years - so I don't think it will take 2 years like before.
Also the USCIS version of enquiry might be faster (dont laugh) than one you do by yourself - it might even be cheaper (stop laughing, lol) cos no doubt they will factor it into the cost of the visa fee somehow.

(edit - I've used the word ALSO about 20 times, sorry  )

CSC should enter you into the tracking system and you MIGHT get a touch when they get it there - but what the heck is your petition doing at el Paso in the first place? Who sent it to El Paso?
Has your congressman asked that they expediate it now? (I guess that depends on who sent it to El Paso and why but he could lean on them to make sure it leaves TSC pretty darn quick)
If your congressman is a nice person, and happy to help you, and go that extra mile, then have him make a big nuisance of himself about this on your behalf - see if he will ask constantly for updates from USCIS about your petition's progress (has it left El Paso, when did it leave, did it get to TSC, when did it leave, has it arrived at CSC? What are they doing with it now? All that good stuff..they might just process it fast to get RID of him, lol and your NOA1 date means you won't be affected by IMBRA)..I read your post with my mouth open in shock at the delay in just getting to the right service centre!

Edit to add: I forgot to say Good luck and keep us posted!

For those of us who are dumb and maybe blonde (like me), what is CFO? And is it in the States? And do you have the correct visa required to go to it (whatever it is)
If you have to travel out of the US to any country (other than one inside/considered part of the States) you will need a valid passport....
