Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionMY HUSBAND REFUSE TO SIGN THE I751

Marriage is full of ups and down. Be patient and speak to your husband, try to explain to him that you getting the GC
will not affect anything in your marital life with him. He is obviously afraid that you have been westernized since according to you both of
you are core muslims. If you know what your culture demands that is not against the USA law do it to save your marriage.
LEGAL:
You can apply for VAWA or go to any catholic charities and they will help you through that rout.
It is a way you get your green card (Violence against woman act).

Beating and abuse has nothing to do with ups and downs in a marriage, it should also have nothing to do with religion and culture!!!!

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionQuestion regarding Biometrics appointment

Thank you all for your responses.

This afternoon I went to the USCIS ASC where we are going to have the Biometrics and explained the situation. They were very nice.

They assured me in case of delayed flight, my son can walk in there until 3:30 PM

They also said in case the flight arrives after that time or is cancelled, I can inform them and they would reschedule

I guess our strategy would be, I would go for my appointment at 12:00. I will hang around there to handle long delays in flight or cancelled flight situation if it does happen.

Will let you know if this will work!

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionDo you have to become a citizen?

Nope, citizenship is not mandatory and a personal choice.

You just "renew" the GC and don't go AOS/removing condition procedure again so it is easier.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionWe Lied To USCIS

you are confused. the GC and letter are for you to RETURN to the US...your home country could care less. Like the poster above me, I have never heard of anyone being denied entry with the extension letter. People really need to stop listening to rumors and here-say from friends and family, and get the real facts and use common sense before lying to USCIS

So very true, look it up before you take action, not the other way around!!

Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussioni-751 waiver interview

Being called for an interview is more common then you would think. When your petition is received a fraud level is assigned of A B or C.

C is the lowest- everything looks good- they recommend no interview
B is the middle- minimum required number of documents, but something feels off to the adjuster so they dont go with C
A- is possible fraud- there is insufficient evidence, large age difference exists between the spouses; the married couple is not living together

All fraud level A cases are interviewed no matter what. Depending on the percentage of cases the district office wants to interview, around 30-100% of level B cases are interviewed and 10-50% of level C.

So even if you were a C you could get an interview. It doesnt mean somethings wrong. If they got to you 'quickly', its another indication that your local office had a lot of empty interview slots and stuck you in one of them.

The burden of proof in ROC lies with you. You need to show you entered in good faith and the marriage just didnt work out. You say you have all your proof. So have some faith. I think youre going to be fine.

Thank you Capri

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionTraveling abroad close to expiration date

He can start applying for his unconditional card 90 days before expiration date, when you receive your NOA-1 you will also receive a letter that adds 1 year to the expiration date on the green card. take both with you when and if you travel.

Mailing the Packet & What to do While You Wait

The I-751 form and accompanying documents are mailed to either the USCIS California or Vermont Service Centers (click here to see the filing location for your state) depending on your state of residence. (Use certified mail or priority mail with delivery confirmation, and write "Attention: I-751 petition to remove conditions of status" on the envelope under the address.) You will receive a notice of receipt for the form stating that "Your alien card is extended one year - employment and travel authorized". Keep the receipt with your green card. If by some chance you are not approved within a year you will want to make an InfoPass appointment to go to your Local Office to request an I-551 stamp in your passport. This does happen as it sometimes it takes over a year to be approved. After your NOA extension expires, this is your only evidence of legal status which you are required to have, by law. This happens occasionally, that a case takes over a year, but it's rare. Local Offices will not give an I-551 stamp if you have another type of evidence of status (ie, expired Green Card + extension letter).
