Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussioni-751 January 2014 filers

With paperclips, in a folder, etc? I'm afraid they'll lose my docs.

I put everything together and used a  small metal paper binder.

Anyone have pics of their packet (or a sample one, I recall seeing one here but I can't find it) that they are willing to share? Organization is not my strong suit.

I just stacked everything in order of the Cover Letter.

Europe & Eurasia (except the UK and Russia)To all the Dutchies out there: what about the medical?

So that means I wait until I get package 3, and then get the medical? Does it make any sense to get vaccins at my doctor before that?

Yes it does, look up what you have and/or what you need and have them done before, it will be cheaper and it will save time.

Hi,

Medical is very basic and it is 2 parts, one with a doctor in Amsterdam and one for x-rays close to where the doctor is.

The Consulate in Amsterdam will tell you where to go but you make the doctor and x-ray appointment.

Bring cash they do not accept cards!!!

Europe & Eurasia (except the UK and Russia)Dutch passport requirement

They made it a point to put the EIGHT MONTHS in upper case so I think it will be necessary to comply.

Europe & Eurasia (except the UK and Russia)No vaccination records! now what? Pls Help

Can you contact your Huisarts to see if they have any records, if not you need to look up what shots you need and maybe have them don before you go to the medical. It will be cheaper if you can do it through your medical insurance.

Have a look at this guide, http://www.visajourn...-Netherland.htm

During the medical they will provide a new set of records to the Consulate.

Europe & Eurasia (except the UK and Russia)VOG dutch police records?

Hi,

I am guessing that you are the Dutch beneficiary, I did this 2 years ago and did not need a "Verklaring van Goed Gedrag" maybe things changed. Can you give them a call to explain, maybe members who had their interview this year can tell you more.

Good Luck

Europe & Eurasia (except the UK and Russia)[Netherlands] Medical question

Do you happen to know which vaccinations I might need? (I am the beneficiary)

This is the link to the Consulate info page on vaccinations, http://www.visajourn...-Netherland.htm

I needed the DTKP (in 2011 it was 35 euro's)and was good to go, the doctor also marked a few off them as "not age appropriate"

I was in the Air Force for 33 years and was vaccinated left and rightrofl.gif

Europe & Eurasia (except the UK and Russia)[Netherlands] Medical question

You can not use any other doctor than the one in Amsterdam, http://www.visajourn...s&cty=Amsterdam

What you can do is check the beneficiaries immunization record and get the shots you need from the family doctor, it will be cheaper and safes time.

The medical was in my opinion very basic, they check your blood en general condition. I think that it is to see if your have anything transmittable, the same day you go for an X-ray to check if you don't have TBC.

You need to pay for everything on the spot and in cash, no credit cards accepted.

Europe & Eurasia (except the UK and Russia)[Netherlands] Birth Cert and other requirements?

2.  Birth certificates are not normally issued for children in The Netherlands.  Since we need one for the K-1 (and later) paperwork, you will have to obtain one, and you do that in the town or city where you were born, NOT where you currently live if that is different.  You have to request the "Internationale Geboorte-akte" (Intl Birth Cert) from them, NOT THE STANDARD ONE.  It is currently not clear to me if that document has to be separately legalised for use with the Consulate.

--> Can anyone update me on this one?

I did not have my Intl Birth Cert legalized, at the consulate they took the copy and returned the original to me which was nice because I could use it for the AOS process.

Europe & Eurasia (except the UK and Russia)[Netherlands] Birth Cert and other requirements?

3.  A police record as such is not available in The Netherlands, but you can request a "Verklaring van Onbesproken Gedrag" (VOG), or a statement of good behavior.  You can request it directly from the Dept of Justice, or you can go through the clerk at City Hall of the city or town where you live.  Since each application for a VOG needs a *reason*, the U.S. Consulate will send a form letter with their packet3 which acts as the reason for the request.  Fill out the form, add the form letter to it, and you should have the VOG in 4 to 5 weeks.

I did this process a few years ago and at that point in time it was not necessary to get a VOG, the American Consulate will get in contact with the Dept of Justice to obtain the information they need.

Asia: East and PacificSouth Korea - Having a ceremony before K-1 gets approved

As long as having such a gathering would not constitute a legal marriage, then it is permissible. However, you still want to be very careful about this because any reference to such a gathering can cause a CO or a CBP officer to think you are already married and deny the K1 application or deny entry to the US on that basis.

Your K-1 package will be in a big yellow envelop marked DO NOT OPEN.

This envelop is in another one which contains your passport(with visacool.png ), cd-rom with x-ray's and an envelop with your medical records also marked DO NOT OPEN.

All of this will be mailed to you hopefully a few days later!

At the Consulate in Amsterdam the did not return anything to me.
