BUT ...Hubby called and they said that we are still on process.... and i felt like but then the operator said " Call some time next week and it will be completed and with interview dates" at this moment i was confused.... then i was happy with hopes again... then i was angry because many times they said wrong or confused information.... This is just my hypothesis from the way I saw them work, but for May interviews, NVC get list from embassies of slots available in late March/ eary April, then NVC schedule interviews for May in 2nd week of April. After 2nd week of April is over, NVC moves on to June interviews. They will schedule June interviews for most in 2nd week of May. For people who had their case complete in time for May interviews but did not get a spot due to limited slots in their embassy, they may get a June date by late April and may not have to wait until mid-May. For people who had their case complete after the 2nd week of April and their embassy had spots available for May, NVC cannot really go back to schedule May interviews for them. NVC is done with May interviews after 2nd week of April and will schedule for June. The only way you may get a May interview if you missed deadline with NVC is to ask Embassy directly to bump you up if the Embassy has spots available. Note that I have not seen too many cases of embassies agreeing to this as most embassies defer to the NVC and are busy/filled, or they require a good reason why you can't wait (other than I've been waiting a freaking year!!!! ) Thanks for the explanation, HSB. I think I understand. The Casablanca US consulate website specifically states not to request to move an appointment forward. From what I've read, they're famously unfriendly - I wouldn't even try. Anyway, I'm getting ahead of myself. Case not even completed yet. At least it's Monday. I now love Mondays! so do I lol So bored waiting for case completion. I was never this bored waiting for approval...Frustrated, yes, emotional, yes, but bored is a new concept...almost fed up w/ how long the process is taking! Honestly, all in all approval/NVC completion should take 3 mons tops!! Oh yeah and the attitude they give u when u call to inquire about ur case "Oh we ONLY started reviewing ur case on April 2nd" pleassssseeeeee making it seem like it's too soon!! whatever!!! They need to think again if they think that will intimidate me into not calling!! Today is day 269 since we started this process. So if to NVC it seems relatively recent, let them try waiting for their loved one 200+ days and then we'll c how u feel!!! This is how I feel.... I want my hubby!! It usually happens when AOS and DS 230 packets are sent separately. But it gets fixed once DS 230 is scanned into the system. Call NVC and double check!! Good luck! Read my above post. I got an email from them too saying they have both fees and to now download and follow instructions when they had already received both packets yesterday. When I called them, operator said to ignore the email, even told me my review has begun! Hi!! First, Congrats , i think the NVC is not updating the AVR as usual... because i do not have a RFE... they received the DS-230 and the I-864 and the AVR said "the checklist letter response was received on March 25th, please allow 6-8 weeks for review and then you will be Notified" so ... An agent stated today that they received the bc yesterday on 4/8/09 now I received an email from the NVC on 4/3/09 stating.........................." The NVC has received the birth certificate and we have updated our records accordingly." ?????????????????????? What's going on????? The agent tells me it's currently being reviewed, then an electronic notification will be sent to the embassy for an interview date. Now we have a waiver to submit as well. Don't we suppose to receive an info pkt with some instructions 1st before the embassy interview? I really wonder if that agent knows what she is talking about. They should be more thorough, being they are the only source we have. So, after the NVC review your case, the next step is...........????? Hi sweetness! I know how you feel... this process is so painful, i don't trust in AVR or in the email sent from NVC.... I understand the process this way: When the case is completed, the NVC will schedule the interview and then you'll receive an Appoiment letter with that date, then you can go to the medical exam and then you go to the embassy... I think we all have the same feeling like you... tired, lonely, and depressed.
