Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	Extension letter vs. Extension sticker for I-751	I was wondering, my wife's green card is going to expire in July, however we have applied for her to get her 10 year Green Card, and we received an extension letter. Today we went to the Texas Department of Public Safety to get my wife a Texas state Identification Card, we presented the person working there her current green card, and 1 year extension letter, however we were told that my wife would need to have a sticker on the back of her green card stating that it has been extended for 1 year. Give me any thought on this. Thanks. You need the extension letter to travel outside the US and for you to come back here in the US.
