Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionFcuk Texas!
I agree with you about TSC. It took a year and a half for them to process our K-1 (luckily we were transferred to CSC for our AOS) and now we have just submitted the I-751, so I feel as though we have a long old wait again.

Hope you hear from them soon.

I sent my I-751 to TSC on 25 July, received 27th @TSC, still not cashed check yet.

Lets just hope they have been transferred to CSC.

I received the NOA (well 2 NOA's, both with different case numbers, hmmm...stating the exact same thing) anyway not tried entering them online yet, going to hold off until I receive the Bio appointment.

If I try them online I will let you know if they work or not.

Our check has finally cleared as of Aug 17, I can't even read the print on the back, so will just have to wait for NOA. :-(

Shahab, I think it may take a few days or a week until you can view online (I am pretty sure it took that long to check online with our K1 app).

Looking good CSC. lol kicking.gif

That is even better news, so maybe it will not take as long for CSC to process then it would for TSC.

I have decided to start this thread as there seems to be quite a few of us that have sent in our I-751's to Texas in July.

I have not heard anything yet, check has still not been cashed either, don't you just love the waiting game. lol.

Feel free to add your views, news and any other info to this thread.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionChecking case status online
I had my biometrics on Friday and have just checked the case status online.

In the "Application Type" it has CR189....would that be correct or should it be I-751?

Here is what it says...

Receipt Number: WAC0000000000

Application Type: CRI89, PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED

Current Status: Case received and pending.

On August 15, 2007, we received this CRI89 PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when yours will be done. This case is at our CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

I hadn't applied for a CR189...so now I am feeling a little confused. lol

If anyone could shed some light on this it would certainly be helpful. Thanks.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionNo biometrics letter.....what should we do? Who should we call?
If I remember correctly there are also other vj'ers from the Tampa office that have yet to receive their biometric appts and they filed before you. I think someone stated that it might have to do with the Tampa office being busy etc.

I sure hope you do hear from them soon. I know we all hate this waiting game. (At least you are in CSC's hands now good.gif )

Good Luck.

Great news at last.... I just checked on my case status on line and saw the following...

Receipt Number: WACxxxxxxxxxxx

Current Status: Card production ordered.

On November 1, 2007, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. So, just waiting for the card to show up in the mail box. Over and done with for 10 years or unless I go for naturalization.

FYI - Update....

I had my bio's done on 21 Sept and have STILL NOT received or been touched yet. And I was also a lucky TSC to CSC transferee.

Makes me wonder whether the office at Charlotte has lost or not bothered to forward the results lol.

Gosh....I have way too many from both times I was in Egypt, but here are a few.

(I was sneaking in pics while I was in the museum! )

LOL Aymerlu, that comment about sneaking in pics made me laugh. Brings back memories when I went to Eygpt in '94 walking around Cairo Museum and having to cover up my flash, wasn't too good at that and got told to put camera away, anyhow got a great pic of tut's head although flash went off, so I darted off and left some other tourist to take the rap when I see the security man coming lol.

edited to add... my quote thingy didn't work lol

Great pics everyone

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresPOE Interviews
If he is coming over using his visa, then he shouldn't have much worry. He can get into the US/Visa holder queues.

Not sure about JFK but he will probably be called into an office for the Immigration Officers to sort out his paper work etc.

I have heard that JFK do stamp the temp EAD pass but I think that only lasts for so many days, other VJ'ers will be able to answer that more clearly for you.

Good luck

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresOfficially 5 months
Cali, I have been there and done that, even got the T-shirt. lol

It's a p!sser having to wait for the government. I should know, it took us about a year and a half from submitting the I-129f to getting the Visa, ending up contacting Lawyers and Senators and blowing so darn much money on USCIS's muck up.

I hope you hear from them soon, and they decide to pull their grubby little fingers out of their <achooo> oops I sneezed lol.

All in all, I would of done the wait again to be here with my husband.

Keeping fingers crossed you hear back soon, I know its frustrating, but once you get your visa, you will feel like a big weight has been lifted off your shoulders and your life can start up again.

All the best.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresplease i need some advice im in uk and bf is in usa we want to be together please!!!
Stacey, personally I think you should spend a fair few years getting to know each other better as you are both young. Try and spend time visiting each other first, one visit will certainly not do it. Marriage is a very big committment.

Jeez you only met 2-3 months ago, live life a little before considering settling down.

But, what ever options you choose in life, I wish you all the best and I know that everyone here on VJ will give good advice about visa's.

Jo

Steven - I agree wholeheartedly with you. I certainly know that my mum would of had a fit if I had ever done something like that.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresIt's been asked over and over ...
I went to see my husband whilst waiting for the K1 visa. I didn't have any problems with the immigration officers although they seemed to ask a lot of questions. I didn't have any info to say I was returning home, all I had was my return ticket. One thing though, after we had got engaged and I went over to visit, the immigration officer did look at my ring and ask if I was visiting my fiance, which of course I replied "nooo" lol. I felt bad lying but I thought I might of been heading back on a plane home if I had said yes.

Hope you have fun when you go to see your SO. As others might say, take all the necessary documents with you just in case you have an immy officer who's having a bad day.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresThe new over 100 topic.
Just to add hope to everyone out there who's process is taking its time.

Mine took...

Your I-129f was approved in 441 days.

Your interview took 563 days from filing.

You gotta love USCIS lol.

(This was wayyyy before IMBRA too)

Hang in there, it may take time but will always be worth the wait.
