IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - June 2014	Just spoke with Abby, so no interview date, usual talk on how I've got approved on June 2nd and they are waiting on the Embassy's reply. Questioned her about the priority date that showed on the CC email if that was used to schedule the interview, and she said because I am a US citizen wife I get main priority and should disregard that date. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - June 2014	It's neither of those.... They have a very thought out, well planned and thorough process:     First they take all the files which are case complete and are awaiting interview scheduling.  They take them to top level of the office block, stand in the stairwell, then drop all the files at once.  They then go down the stairs 1 level at a time and as they find a bar-code, they scan it.  They keep doing this until they reach the 1st floor and this gives them the order in which files will be scheduled interviews.     Stage 2 involves assigning an actual appointment.  What they do now is have a yearly planner on the wall  They work though the cases in their newly found order and fire darts at the yearly planner.  Whatever date the dart lands on is the date you get the interview.   Maybe this should be added to the wiki?                         This might as well be the case  , from what we have been seeing Thank you ColGil	sandraperry	Female	Portugal	2014-06-06 08:59:00

Uscis backlogged, NVC backlogged, and now the Paris embassy? This is just great! We, the Paris Embassy goers, should start our own group We might end up just join together for the interview, there is a high chance of being on the same day, and it would be nice have someone to chat while waiting on the interview day.   About the backlog, from the moment that USCIS  started to get backlogged it was only natural that NVC would become bombard.   Now the question is: Do they select cases according to the Case Complete date or according to the  Priority date (time we filed the I-30)?   Does anyone knows?	sandraperry	Female	Portugal	2014-06-06 06:26:00

They don't even issue "that many" visas according to the number I saw online. According to my math (I suck at math btw) they should at least have 4-5 interviews a day. Can't they squeeze us in for July? Give us all the same day. We can hang while we wait lol. I wish I could call and be all like, "Bonjour.... le retard.... je n'aime pas!!" Three years of high school French and all of hubby's dad's side of the family speaks French and that's all I got for ya.   from what i interpreted from the interview file and sailyn's spreadsheet, usually the interview to the french embassy takes (or used to) between 10 to 15 days to set appointment but the apointment is always to the next month after case completed.   That is why i am keeping a bit of my coolness, but at the same time preparing myself mentaly for august in paris vacation	sandraperry	Female	Portugal	2014-06-05 21:39:00

(I was looking at Dwheels spreadsheet in the interview thread) This doesn't make me hopeful for July at all.   I hope people are checking back and letting us know that they have interview dates. It sure does help the rest of us.   I know right! Well I'll be calling them in a minute (when it is free to call USA from Portugal) And I am going to bombard whomever answers with questions. Just like how a few people around here found a new job, etc before the interviews, they took an updated form to the interview with them. However, additional information is required to complete the financial evidence review. Please provide all requested documents and refer to page two for mailing instructions. Forms Missing or Incomplete   [x] If you have returned your original form to us, these are the items that are still incorrect or missing. If you need another form, please go to http://Travel.state..../visa_4354.html to download a new form and complete instructions.   Part 1 Information on the Household Member   [x] PERRY, Mother in law income indicated on line 11 of the I-864A does not correspond to that shown on the most recent tax return and W-2(s).     And they want me to take it to the interview.   You should send any of the missing items to SANDRA ******* PERRY so he or she can take them to the visa interview. The Consular Officer will review the missing items at the time of the interview.   Please pay special attention to any items related to the Affidavit of Support form. If the checklist shows any problems with the form, you should complete a new form and send it to SANDRA ******* PERRY.     The question is: Can we take her off the AOS, on this stage?   My Husband is moving into a new house, preparing my arrival to the states, so our future address is going to change, but we already know what is needed to do for the address changing. And technically my mother-in-law, is not going to be part of our household anymore. We are keeping my brother-in-law in the household (as he is moving in with us) so both my husband and brother-in-law are above the poverty line and we also have a joint sponsor.   Will we have troubles if we just show another AOS, without my mother-in-law? Your case is COMPLETE!!!!!!!!" And then I yelled, "FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!" ::insert dancing emojis with sunglasses which I have been saving for Case Complete and now can't use them because I am on a mobile device:: Thank you so much to all of you with your patience and well wishes. Its hard to see people who were transferred after me get approved...maybe they lost my file... I am sorry to hear that DVMan! But maybe they are analyzing it already, we can't lose our hope. or it will drive us nuts! I know that because i almost lost my mind.  We just have to think that each case has its perks and maybe some officers are more thorough than others. I actually had to just step back and forget about it for a while and then we got Transferred to Texas on the 29th of november and one month later the wonderful approval "arrived" _(well at least the e-mail). I am so happy that i can't stop crying, even my cat is worried because i was laughing and crying at the same time. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	April 2013 I-130 Filers	Approval ! ! ! ! !    NBC received my case for my husband's i130 on April 22nd of 2013, and on October 29th of 2013 I opened my email and saw it!   Then I checked the USCIS website to make sure I wasn't going crazy and starting to see things. When I realized this was true I had tears of happiness streaming down my face and I was at work so I couldn't post then but as soon as I got home I came to let all of you know that they must be working on April filers more, and that it seems like April filers aren't being transferred.   My case was at Lee Summit, MO and I never had a transfer.   I'm honestly in shock, I was preparing to wait a few more months from what I have been reading. This gives me hope that all of you will get your approvals soon also! Don't give up hope yet!       I am so happy for you, congrats!!! But at the same time, I am sad ;( , because our NOA was April 15th, technically we should had been first to be approved!!??? Can someone explain me this . I'm in a point of the process that I just feel like crying all the time, I miss my husband and this wait just makes it worse.   He just bought "our (first) family car", he is bound to finish the purchase of our apartment and knowing I might not be there when he gets to move in in january just kills me... send a little of your positive energy to me please! LOL!   Oh my dear, how I understand you, I am alone here in Portugal, and missing all the family big events ( like brother's in law wedding) but above all I had to celebrate our first year alone, away from my husband. Got our NOA1 on the 15th of April. Since then, only misinformation from USCIS. Since August  we kept calling them and got always the same answer, that our case was being processed and that we were going to get the letter in 30 days. And now the last Info is that our case has been in the NBC since the beginning and it might take around 6 more months the top to get processed. I wanted to know if there is more on our situation? IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	August 2014 Interviews	I was trying to stay optimistic but I can't anymore. I am utterly sad, our status is still at this stupid "ready" and was updated 2 days ago, nothing changed today. I am just stupidly waiting all alone for this visa. It's been one year and 3 months, I am fed up of this. Last night I hurt my toe, it was bleeding and because usually my husband takes care of these things (I'm passing out too easily when I see blood), I cried like a little girl. Being far from him sucks, being stuck away from him because of backlogs and glitches is not fair. I'll send an email to the embassy tonight, I want to know at least if they are able to issue some visas or none at all. This waiting is depressing. When I go to sleep my husband is still at work so I can't hear his voice. When I wake up he is asleep and I can't hear him telling me "bonjour". I am just disgusted by the whole process. Thanks for letting me vent. And thanks for your updates, I feel less alone when I read the posts on this forum.   I feel for you, even though  "We dodge the bullet" the expression my husband has used to describe how lucky we were, I come here almost everyday to see and help in what I can.   And I wish I could help on you guys getting your visas!
