Middle East and North Africa	American wants visa to go to Algeria.	I asked for a year and that is what they gave me. I think if the request is reasonable they try to accommodate it. Middle East and North Africa	American wants visa to go to Algeria.	I actually just got back yesterday from 10 days in Algiers:) I have gotten 2 visas from the New York consulate both really easy. Just send the paper with the invitation letter and passport photos, remember to send a prepaid express envelope with a tracking number for them to send your passport back to you. The visa I got this year is good for 1 year with multiple entries with a 90 day total max stay. That is the longest I could get, I have heard of the 2 year visa, but I think that is only if you are married to an Algerian. Hi, I told my husband I would try to make him couscous, all the recipes I have found seem to call for an ingredient I can't find at my local supermarket here in the US. Does anyone have a fairly easy recipe for couscous that has ingredients that can be found easily here in the US. I want to preferably make it with beef. Middle East and North Africa	Arabic TV in USA	My husband uses google tv and watches internet news channels on the tv, most smart tvs have internet browsing built in, or you can buy it separately, there is no monthly fee for it. Middle East and North Africa	family guest visa to Algeria	When did you apply for the visa? It can take a few months, best to not make firm travel plans until you have the visa in hand. I am sure it will come, maybe not by Oct 15, why do you say you might not get to go at all? I have felt with the Algerian Consulate in New York more than once and they are slow to respond to emails but they do answer. Do you speak Arabic or French, or know someone who does? When they were slow to answer my email about my visa my fiancé called them and and was able to find out where it was in the process. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Need advice from Algerian/American couple.	Hi Congrats on your NOA2! I am about a month a head of you in the process, I got my NOA2 May 6. From there things have been moving fairly fast. I called NVC about a week after receiving NOA2 and got my case number. From there I tracked it on DHL (go to the embassy forum there are instructions there how to do that) once it was received at the embassy I waited and waited patiently, until I couldn't take it anymore (about 2 weeks with no word from them). I had my fiance in Algiers send an email and he got no response, this made me so mad! I sent an email the next day and it was responded to in 20 minutes with our packet 3. Now we are waiting for his medical (he called both doctors and the soonest appt was 3 weeks from when he called) after that he will make the appointment for the interview. I did send him the affidavit of support (I knew someone who was going to Algiers so I sent it with them).  I would look at the embassy page it has literally the exact packet you will receive, and start working on getting everything together, I would also try to make the medical appt as it appears they are about 3 weeks out. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Interview process	My experience says that the USC should contact the embassy for packet 3. My fiance in Algiers sent an email to the embassy and they did not respond, he even went to the embassy in Algiers and they would not give him any information. I the USC sent an email and it was answered within 20 minutes with packet 3. My NOA2 was 5-6, left NVC May 12, ready at embassy since May 23, waited until June 5 to send the email. I am not sure how much longer I would have waited to receive it, but this process is long enough so anything to speed it up is good..also the email in the embassy section is incorrect, send the email here.  IV-DValgiers@state.gov	cclr	Not Telling	Algeria	2013-06-08 07:23:00

Also I figured out how to email it without scanning it. After you hit continue you hit save and then send the pdf file as an attachment.      Dear Madam,   Your fiance has been scheduled on July xx at xxxx. Does anyone know how to email it? Please provide me instructions if you know how.
