I was so happy thinking it was an approval but then the message was: Receipt Number: LINxxxxxxxxx Application Type: I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) Current Status: On June 1, 2006, we transferred your I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) to an office in CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER for processing. That office has jurisdiction over the case. They will send you a written decision as soon as processing is complete. You should receive a notice informing you that your case has been transferred to a local office. OMG I'm freaking out here...... does anyone have an answer? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Got My NOA-1 and Background check papers same day	You do know that USCIS will only ask about the following crimes, right? Domestic violence,sexual assult,child abuse and neglect,dating violence elder abuse and stalking Homicide,murder,manslaughter,rape,abusivesexual contact,sexual exploration,incest torture etc etc Three or more convictions for crimes to a controlled substance or alcohol not arising from a single act. Really??? That's good news then..... it means that Dave being caught with those pills he used to take in Brazil (that he had the prescription for by the way!!) won't matter too much then..... right? However because preliminary processing was complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in this message. You will receive a written decision on this case. You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. Follow the the link below for current processing dates." I think that this >> " the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in this message" has to do with this >> "You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done" It's just a way to let us know that the new processing times have nothing to do with us. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Ok, idiotic question I'm not going to like the answer too, butttttttt	She has to send evidence of having met within two years BEFORE filing. If she gets an RFE she can't send evidence she gathered after filing. Pictures do prove you were together but they do not help the 2 year requirement. So they're just supporting evidence. You should do that too... it takes them about 2 days to answer and you want them to update your status as soon as they can since they're processing according to the date the RFE was received. Do you think it sways there decision? My thought is that I'm 23 and my fiance is 24 - of course we would wait if we were both citizens of the same country but he is my soul mate and i love him very much - the only way we can be together is if we get married. Since you met in a third country (if that was the only time you met), the proof you send needs to put you both in the same place at the same time. **If you're going to send a copy of your korean visa for example.. send a copy of hers as well. If you send your boarding passes to korea, send hers as well and so on.** ATM receipts, hotel bills are good proof too. And pictures of you together are always a good supporting evidence. Your NOA1 date is April 19 They are processing March 6 receipt dates now Your Svc Senter is California And you expected an approval this week. Wake up! You were dreaming!! Why is it so hard for people to understand that they're approving according to RFE date?? (of course there are a few exceptions but we can always find exception in any situation...) And you know what.... for those people letting the process turn you into a bitter person... START DREAMING. It can do wonderful things for you.... it keeps the heart young and a smile on your face. There are some very valid reasons for asking for their help, I know from personal experience, but why are you thinking of asking for their help? Rob and Melinda I read some people here asked for their help to see what was going on with their petitions, why it was taking so long etc and some of them got approved soon after allowing them to get involved.
