Hey guys, When you were gathering the documents to send with your I-129F, where did you get the documents translated into English(if your fiance's language isn't english, of course)?? Did your fiance do it in her/his country or your guys did it in the US? I need to translate a few things into English(from Portuguese) and I'm not sure if I should do it here in Brazil or find someone to do it in the US. Thanks for helping!!! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	RFE	Yes, I am curious too. Though we've met up on average every 5 weeks for 4 years (with a 5 month break up in there that I am going to gloss over) neither of us kept any boarding passes or tickets. We can scrounge up itineraries for the past couple of trips... hope that will be enough as far as that goes. I have lots of stamps in my passport, but no way to really prove that I was seeing HIM specifically... and photos, but again, we've been bad at taking pictures in the past 2 years. The last photo taken of us was in October 2004!! Send a copy of your passport stamps(don't forget to send a copy of the ID page along with it), credit card receipts, hotel receipts, pictures(october 2004 was not longer than 2 years ago.... so it's okay), itineraries... And good luck!! It was a mistake we didn't see it on the first papers that we had to send photos and things in and supporting evidence. We just did the 3/4 passport photo, bio forms, I-129F and mailed it. We answered the question on how we met but didn't realise we were to provide evidence then. We really regret it. Now they are asking for the evidence and frontal face passport photos of BOTH. So we're just delayed now... Oh okay.... good luck on sending it again then! Double check everything! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	on todays day a year ago	We all listen Ionescu I last saw Dave on June-20-2005 and it doesn't get any easier! We talk for hours every night but I miss the touch, the smell. I miss having him next to me in bed and I even miss him "accidentally" waking me up in the morning. I'm sure I won't be seeing him the next 5 or 6 months..... and that kills a part of me every day. But then I think about how great it will be when we're together again and it makes me stronger! Our 3 year anniversary is in May and I hope we have our approval by then. It'll be a good present! Just wanted to add that having a baby must make things a lot harder on you Ionescu. Just before Dave went back home I thought I was pregnant and I was going crazy thinking about how I'd handle not having him around to see our baby's first everything with me. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Car accident!	Going to the police was the right thing to do. It shows you had no bad intentions and that you'd be there if they needed you. If the guy didn't want your help, you did your part. And the police knows it. They probably even have your phone number.... which helps proving you didn't intend to run away or anything. Good luck and I really don't think something bad is gonna happen to you! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	NO2 RECEIVED NOW WHAT NEEDS TO BE INCLUDED??	I'm sorry if this is a dumb question but why would it be so bad to send your birth certificate overseas? I'm not sure about you but my fiance got 3 new birth certificates(which is really easy and not expensive to do by the way) just to make sure we'd have a new one in case it got lost or something. We just thought that if sending me an original certificate is needed, than there's not much we can do about it..... just make sure we send if the safest way we can and have another one in case something wrong happens. So being together would be a good choice maybe Well, what can I say? I'd not give up on the visa.... you'll have six months to enter the US + 90 days to marry him, so if you still don't want to marry him by that time then you just go back home. You can always reaply later if you decide to go through this gain. Long distance relationship is something hard to deal with and it's not for everyone. But I trully think that the problems you're having right now exist because you guys are not together. Once you get there you'll have a greater chance to work it out. I know that if I was having problems like that I'd do everything I could to be with my fiance as fast as I could so that we could work things out and keep walking on the same direction! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Waiting for the K-1 use a tourist visa?	We just "waited" because I was too stupid/naive. He wanted to file for the k1 the whole time but I always said "oh but I can't be away from you for that long..... I'll get a tourist visa and marry you when I'm there". Turns out I tried to get a tourist visa several times, was denied every time and thank god I realized I was going the wrong way. It's never too late. But if I had done the right thing, I'd probably be there by now. He went back to the States in June, when I could've filed..... so 8 months of delay. So do I need to provide examples of an ongoing relationship? or does that come later in the process? All you need to provide now is "proof of meeting", which is proof of having met within the last 2 years(ie. hotel receipts, credit card receipts, boarding passes, copy of passport stamps....). Later in the process(interview), you'll have to present proof of ongoing relationship(ie. letters, joint bank accounts, emails...... etc) Good luck!! You should get her friends and family members write a letter stating they know about your engagement and they met you and talked with you... This would be proof of a relationship and intent to marry. you need photos of you and her together.... This is very important.. If you feel you can not do this.. i suggest you go there and marry and do the K-3 Visa I disagree! All you have to send with your 129F petition is proof of having met within the last two years + letter of intent to marry(which is a short statement found HERE ). You don't need to ask anyone else to write anything for you. At least not now. You'll only have to prove you have a real relationship when your fiance goes to the consulate for the interview. Lots of people can go through a bout of depression (situational), suicide attempt or not, and it not be labled a life term mental condition. It happens, its over, end of story. Perhaps if one has been diagnosed as bipolar, schitzophrenic, or has ongoing depression where one is on meds, etc, that this is the type of mental illness they are referring to. Well, Dave(USC) is bipolar...... he hasn't had the symptoms in a long time but he's on med to prevent mood swings from coming. I hope that doesn't affect us!! I don't think it will.
