K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWaiting Again!

Im not sure I understand the need to send to CSC. It gets sent to VSC anyway and processed. It would have been easier for myself to move to a VSC state, apply and then move back home. With a couple months to spare. For you newcomers. Think of this idea.

I think you got things mixed up. After the California Service Center approves your petition, it sends your case to the National Visa Center (NVC) and not to Vermont Service Center (VSC).
Also, maybe you'd like to correct your signature.... you're now waiting for NVC, and not VSC

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNOA2 - approved in 44 days
I used APEX too and loved them. When they send you the stuff explaining the visa process and how everything works in detail, you see how much time you'll be saving. It's great to read questions here and think to yourself that you never had to ask that because you knew it from the start.
I still ask stuff here but that just me being 100% careful :P
Anyway.... I'm happy you got that NOA2

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresFINALLY GOT RFE, I AM SO MAD

The 3 questions that's asked of you are quite interesting to me.

I get the feeling the adjudicator is trying to trip you up. I get the sense that s/he is trying to get you to send in evidence which will show that your SO was in the US--most likely illegally--with you. Being from Mexico, it would not be easy for him to enter the US legally.

I don't want the details--whether he has or has not been in the US illegally--but do NOT send them any evidence which would show that he's been in the US with you. I'm certain they'll deny you if you presented evidence which showed he was in the US with you. And of course this doesn't apply to Europeans, but it would definitely apply to a beneficiary from Mexico.

Good luck!

As far as I can tell you're totally implying he was in the US illegally.
If they had been together in the US, him being legal as she said, there would be no problem in presenting that as a proof of meeting. They could never deny them based on that as she would also have proof that he entered and left the country legally.
To the OP, good luck on choosing the right proof to send. You'll be fine, just follow the advice we always read here... send them enough proof to create a good and solid picture in the adjucator's mind. We'll be here to help. :star:

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHow do I apply for visa for new fiance?

Why dont you just resend the old I-129F and replace the name of the women? And just tell them this is a revision of the original I-129F and blame them for not sending you an RFE originally for marrying a woman who would soon change her mind?

If this doesnt work, just look for a domesticated woman here in America which is hard, or just domesticate one for yourself and save yourself the K-1 visa trouble.

I never respond to this kind of post... but man... grow up!!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures19 YR OLD Marrying 16 YR OLD

The cryptic name-call for a person one does not agree with on this site is the word TROLL. Is the use of this word on this site not misplaced?

OMG you're right..... thanks, you've just changed my life! :crying:
Look at me feeding the troll.... Man I'm bored.

Wrong. A troll is someone that everyone agrees on disagreeing with. It's a fake that no one takes seriously.
I like your posts most of the time though.... it makes me laugh because they're always so over the top. You don't get to me, you entertain me :P

Is a 19 year old mature enough to make a marriage decision?

Pot, please meet kettle.

Is matako mature enough to post here? Maybe a new poll theme :P

If you've decided to marry her, I wish you the best of luck!
I was 18 when I started living with my fiance(i'm 21 now) and decided to get married. He was only 21 and we've been together since 2003. Most of my friends don't see themselves getting married this soon, and that's fine because I honestly don't think they'd make it  . But I believe I'm ready for that and the 2 years we lived together proved me right. I know there's a lot more to come and a lot more to learn, but we'll learn it together, just like any other couple of any age.
Oh, and I'd always choose the k1 route over the k3. But stick around, do some research and see what fits your plans better.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresAh yes, MyCheckered Past
My fiance, who's an USC, was arrested early this year for having some pills with him (valium, etc). Those pills were prescribed to him while he lived with me in Brazil and he made the mistake of taking them with him when he went back to the US. So even though we had all the documents to prove that he was not using them as "drugs", he still had to plea guilty (I have no idea why.... but he was advised by his lawyer to do so....). So he got convicted, which sucks... but oh well at least he didn't go to jail.
When we got the IMBRA form, we answered NO to the questions. We did not meet through marriage broker and he doesn't have 3 or more convictions.
We got our NOA2 in September and are waiting for our interview..... so in my experience, that should not ruin anything for you.
Good luck!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresk-2 for unborn child

you cannot list an unborn child on the 129f. if child is born before interview, the child can be added at the embassy level and be eligible for a K-2.

And if it's not born yet.... it'll follow the mom right along of course... :P
BTW, I think you meant May 2007... not 2008 :D

I think they use the information to black male the sponsors, should they ever seek political office or win the lottery. :jest:

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI am starting a prayer brigade for non-stop approval of NOA2s especially for those who have long been waiting and for all other approvals you
Saint Anthony has always helped me and here's a prayer for him in English. Different from the one I have in Portuguese but he'll listen I'm sure.

St. Anthony, Help me find ways to honor God's blessings by showing my love for all of God's creatures. Share your strength that I may cope with the trials and troubles of daily life. You, through whose voice the Word of God was preached, intercede for my need (mention your special request here). Powerful Patron, be with me always and teach me to reach out in love and support to others.

Amen

************************************

Unfailing Prayer to
Saint Anthony
Blessed be God in His Angels and in His Saints.

O Holy St. Anthony, gentlest of Saints, your love for God
and Charity for His creatures made you worthy, when on
earth, to possess miraculous powers. Miracles waited on
your word, which you were ever ready to speak for those in
trouble or anxiety. Encouraged by this thought, I implore
of you to obtain for me (request). The answer to my prayer
may require a miracle. Even so, you are the saint of
Miracles.

O gentle and loving St. Anthony, whose heart was ever full
of human sympathy, whisper my petition into the ears of the
Sweet Infant Jesus
, who loved to be folded in your arms, and
the gratitude of my heart will ever be yours.

Amen. (Say 13 Paters, Aves, and Glorias)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHelp:- Birth certificate without my name on it

Maybe a copy of all pages of your passport would also work. Have your fiance call the USCIS and make sure!

Contact the consulate/embassy and ask about it, as they're getting ready for the interview. USCIS won't be able to help them.

Oh yeah that's right I messed it all up. USCIS doesn't even request the alien fiance's BC that often. My bad!!

But yeah, call the consulate/embassy and ask about it!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresPosting Safety at VisaJourney

I guess some are afraid of ridicule or criticism of their situation if they do ask. I know I've had criticism aimed at advice such as seeking a marriage counselor before filing for divorce. Albeit that doesn't deter me from giving my advice but I can see how some would be apprehensive about posting.

I can sure appreciate that concern; I think there is way too much life advice injected into immigration question threads. That is something that we as a group can decide to encourage or not (much like the recently locked thread)--it's a community thing. If "we" feel that newer members are inhibited in asking questions, and we don't like it, change each other's behavior by example.

If we're all grown up enough to be moving around the world, surely we can be adult enough to treat each other the way we'd like to be treated.

Thank you for bringing this up. :)

Well said!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresPosting Safety at VisaJourney
I agree

If you ask something in private and the person gives you a wrong advice, you'll never know it's wrong because you won't have other VJers to support that advice.
And also, everytime someone asks something (most of the time actually) everyone going throught the same situation benefits from it. And that's what a forum is all about... sharing experiences.

I wouldn't mind asking Aussiewench something in private though..... she's pretty reliable. But I don't think she'd enjoy having everyone here choosing to ask her stuff in private instead of posting it! :P

To prove you've met within the last two years you can use boarding passes, hotel receipts, copy of passport stamps, credid card receips, pictures of you together...
And you do have to send two Visa pictures(one of each of you) with your petition. Here's an example of what they need to look like:

National Visa Center (Dept of State)A clarification question
First of all, congratulations on your approval! I'm really happy for you!
CSC aparently sends the cases to NVC in batches. I started calling NVC one day after approval... :P called them everyday and sent them one email every 4 days. I know, it's a little crazy but I just wanted the damn thing to get there! hehe
The notice they send to you is to inform they have sent the case to your fiance's country!
Call early in the morning or at nigh... those were the best times to call, in my opinion.
Oh, when you call, you have to talk to an operator.
Good luck!!!!

National Visa Center (Dept of State)What's going on at NVC!?
OMG this scares me more than waiting for the NOA2... probably because there's NO reason for them to wait 90 days to forward the case!!!
I just have to remain calm and hope this doesn't happen to us! But that is hard to do when I read this kind of thread  I keep checking the timelines and waiting that long is not so common.... I'm just afraid it might become common in the next few months though.
I'll keep praying!
