US Embassy and Consulate Discussionpacket 3 recieved
My fiance recieved packet 3 today. She said that she got these forms:

OF 230I (?)
DS 156K
DS 230 part 1
I-864 affidavit of support

She was confused cause the instructions said that she only needed to fill out 1 form and send it in and then take the rest to the interview though there was a form missing apparently from the checklist.

The I-864 she won't need until the interview (correct?)... how is different from the I-134?

Is she supposed to fill out a DS 156 Nonimmigrant Visa Application and a DS 156K Nonimmigrant Fiance(e) Visa Application?

Which forms does she need to send in immediatly for an interview date?

Her medical is tommorrow.

Arghh... getting close but more frustrating

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionFiance had interview
haha I know about the $131 but I contacted the consulate and they said that in addition to the $131 it was $355 plus a tax of $45 for $400. Were they mistaken?

Either way my fiance didnt pay the $400. Ok good Some confusion that worked out for us.

Now the actual visa... the consulate said to bring photos and she did but they didn't ask for them. Do they have the photos from our I-129F still?

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionFiance had interview
Earlier this morning my fiance completed her interview in the Jerusalem consulate in Israel. She said that everything went well. She arrived at 7am, was in by 8:15am and out by 9am. The official was serious and stern and asked everything but in the end was jovial and assuring. Said that she would get the visa and that they would contat her to pick it up within a week

BUT... She realized after leaving that they didn't ask her for her photos or payment ($400) of the visa. Should she contact them or do they want payment on delivery and what about the photos?

US Embassy and Consulate Discussionaight small problem
So my fiance had her interview and everything went well on Thursday July 3rd. THe officer said that she should get a call within the week to pick up her Visa. Today has been a week and there has been no word or response from calls and emails.

Now the real problem is that we purchased her plane ticket for Monday July 14th. Since we are dealing with Israel, the consulate has only a half day tommorrow and is closed all weekend and her flight takes her to the airport early on Monday.

What should we do if anything. The consulate told her the visa takes a few days and a week at most to get ready.

Arrgh.. another stumbling block

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionReturning packet 3 forms????
QUOTE (suzukiwookie @ Jul 17 2008, 03:20 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Ok, so I received the packet 3 forms. And in the packet 3 forms it says that I must return:

- Form DS-156
- Form DS-156K
- Form DS-230 Part I

Then in step 2 it tells me to obtain all the required documents (birth certs, Affidavits forms, Police records, pics, and medical) and only mark them off on the checklist and only send in the checklist. This tells me that I am not sending in those documents - only the checklist.

But my confusion comes here: On form DS-156K it states: THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS MUST BE ATTACHED IN ORDER TO APPLY FOR A FIANCEE NONIMMIGRANT VISA.
- Birth Cert
- Police Certs
- Evidence of engagement to your fiancee
- Evidence of financial support

So what do I do? Do I only send in the forms and the checklist, or do I also have to send in my birth cert, police certs, evidence and evidence of financial support??

Please help me out here. I know some of you have gone through this alreday, please let me know what I should do!

Make the copiesof your documents and send them in...

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionCase transferred to Fraud Department. Help, please.
it is obvious why fraud selected your case as there are a handful of "flags"

however be honest and show your evidence and the truth shall set you free

US Citizenship General DiscussionTravel While Waiting for Ceremony
This is my exact question as well with a caveat.... My wife was approved for her naturalization and we have a planned trip. The problem is her oath ceremony is 6 days before the trip. I see that they take her GC at the oath so is there a travel document to travel or a way to get the passport in 3 business days?

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionAlmost 2 years since AOS. Now what? Anyone else in this situation?

It's been almost two years, huh? Glad to see you back at VJ. Hope the two of you have been doing well.
ROC seems quite straight forward. We're preparing all the evidence to send in July.

All the best

Good thread to see... I am in the same situation and will be filing for ROC with my wife next month.
