So are we saying that I need to somehow push the medical exam up to the week of 20th-24th because of seemingly random holidays? Do they not give vaccinations the same day of the examination? She will need to get a full course.

What would vaccinations usually cost?

Is the "guidance and counseling session" aka- CFO?

YYB - LOL! I actually called SLEC the other day to find out when the medical exam would be delivered to the USE since we are holding to the 7th of Nov medical exam (they will deliver the information on the 9th of Nov). I was just attempting to ease my now troubled and idle mind since Veteran's Day is the 10th of Nov I became concerned... So today I called USE (Lorraine) to inquire if there would be a problem filing the information so that it would be available for the Consular Officer. She emphatically assured me that it would not be a problem.

EVERYONE - Please Note... Do yourselves a favor and take the medical exam at least two weeks before your interview but no more than a month before... In hindsight that's what I should have worked out for and with my Baby.

It wouldn't seem as if we had an sort of choice when the medical exam is as it was scheduled for Nov 27th, a week before the interview.

What a cushy job it must be. US federal AND the many Phil fiestas as days off. Plus a month (more for upper management) off vacation time each year. It's getting about as bad as our congress being in office only 80 days out of the year!

I am sure hoping that it doesn't take my case 120-150 days to get an interview. We were already waiting that long before the IMBRA recall. Now not only were we one of the very last to be processed, if they put us in the back of the line again, we are looking at a February/March interview. Which then means we will get stuck with another recall with another law slated to pass this year for immigration bull ####### that they wont be able to implement properly and there we are, endlessly juggled once again for another year of waiting.

Well thats a bit of somewhat ok better than nothing but slightly pressure relieving news- The Embassy recieved the case finally On the 20th. They say to expect a Dec interview as that is the next available window of opportunity. Since most of those who also have had their IMBRA issues will have gone through by Mid November, the few of us who were delayed a lot longer for some reason means the chances are that it WILL be Dec and not overflow to a later month like what happened for those inteviews set for Sept/Oct/Nov.

I wish it was much sooner of course. But at least my sweetheart will be here hopefully in time for Christmas (if the plane tickets aren't too insane by then) So this news is mostly sweet, but slightly bitter.

We were supposed to have our apointment Originaly Aug 23rd before IMBRA.

BTW, the case# is MNL2006-60xx I notice many with case numbers close to mine have already gone through. I just really am baffled at why mine has been so delayed. I don't even have a parking ticket.

They got the physical files originaly back in May. But then got sent back due to IMBRA late July, and I never got the RFE until August. The latest information they seem to have at the embassy was that it was sent back in July, without a reason why (although we know it was due to the IMBRA recall) and that they have no further information.

The NVC supposedly sent the file back finally back on the 9th. I just probably hasn't arrived yet. But we are very delayed compared to others and I just don't understand why.

Typical badluck I guess. I have never had luck with the "system" why would it change now

Embassy isn't much help either. They wont answer specific questions and pretend they don't know and referr you to USCIS which in turn will just get referred to the NVC and then back to the Embassy.

Nope, don't call the DOS. Very rude. No information at all. VeeJay, get her, immediatly ask for a supervisor or call back.

She would just interrupt each time I try to ask a question, tell me she doesn't have information, and then after only 5 minutes told me she has to move on.

I really don't understand why my case is so far behind. If they have updated the website, and even November is filled up already (since my case isn't coming up at the URL http://203.177.135.1...tment/login.asp ) I must be looking at a time sometime next year!

I was one of the last who finally got their IMBRA forms, but one of the ones closest to the March 6th deadline when I originaly filed it took 2 days to get NOA1. I don't understand how people later than me got their RFE's sooner (by about a month) and now their interviews?

This is just very upsetting.

...do you think we will still have to wait another 120-150 days before they schedule a date from when they recieved it from the NVC a second time?...

That is a very good question. I don't know the answer, but for some odd reason I'm thinking they will put you poor souls back on the waiting list. Just because this process sucks, and nobody really gives a dahamn! Please call the Manila Embassy and inquire because I'm very interested in their response. I still have to follow up on whether interview dates are schedule a maximum of 90 days out, which could be the rational for the prolonged period of inactivity as far as assigning interview dates. Cheers!!!

It seems the USCIS, the NVC and the Embassy have all gone to "batch processing". There is no activity for a while, then "boom" - we see a flury of activity. Then silence again until the next batch. Maybe we will all see interview dates when the next batch processes. Maybe all the batch processing is based on the USCIS and then has a domino effect.

I had hoped to get married on Christmas Day but am soon ditching that idea with no interview date yet. While I now expect my process to reach 11 months, I know some who have waited much longer, but then again so many somehow sneaked past us in the queue.

Keeping the faith.

My actuall NOA1 is back on March 18th about when you sent yours in, so i'm right there with you.

I say 2 weeks because the last interview scheduled on the last update to the interview list was Aug 30th. While my timeline isn't up anymore I've been waiting since this all started. We were supposed to have our interview Aug 23rd originaly.

One other thing that this all brings up. Us IMBRA people, do you think we will still have to wait another 120-150 days before they schedule a date from when they recieved it from the NVC a second time? Could that be why it seems no activity?

If not, should my fiance be in Manila right now to do her medical and wait for the interview just in case they suddenly schedule us for 2 or 3 weeks after they finally let us know of the final interview date? She would be flying in from the visayas (bohol by tag city)

Is the consulate awake yet? I have to wonder just what they have been doing the last 2 weeks without any scheduled cases for interview because of IMBRA. Must be some fiesta.

In other words, I fail to see how it's possible people are scheduled for interviews that have timelines after the IMBRA deadline and closer to the present than mine. There can't be too many.

Ok thanks for the info.

Technically I will have two addresses, but was debating which one to use as primary. I have one in Utah, and one in Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania has a Vermont service center. I am trying to understand the processing times chart, and from what I can tell, Vermont seems considerably faster right now? is that the right asessment?

Also, is it bad if I were to fed-ex the application papers? Or better if I did registered US-Mail?

Thanks once again!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresa few last questions before submission!
Ok thanks!

One last question you might know: On question #14 of the I-129F, how would I know what address she would be if it hasn't been decided yet? What I mean is, I am roomates with someone until my fiancee and I are married, then we will have a place of our own. At that time she would have an address that she will be at, not before. We are, by religious reasons, to be married litteraly the next day we arrive, and day only because it's a late flight in. So I wouldn't actualy have a place until about a month or so before she gets here, to save as much money as possible.

Should I use my current address here for now? Ultimatly it may turn out to be a permanent address if my roommate is the one that moves out. But chances are, thats not the case because I want a better place than this dump. lol.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresa few last questions before submission!
Ok, after recomendations I have decided to use the Vermont Service Center from my address in Pennsylvania. Now two questions arise. I am in a new area that doesn't yet recieve postal mail, so we use a non-PO box for mail correspondance. It's like a mail boxes etc. where it doesn't have a PO number but it's physical address and a box number. Will that be a problem? Or do they need to somehow be able to deliver responses and such to my physical address? Will they know? Will they care?

Elaine, my fiancee had just moved to a larger place with her family this week only a few blocks down, but on the same brand new nameless street that doesn't get postal mail. Previously in the apartments she lived at before this week she listed it by the name of the owner and the district the apartments was in. How can I let the USCIS know that her mailing address is still her original address with her grandmother because she can't recieve mail at her current address? Also, because of this move, does that mean she has to re-send me the papers and sign the papers again????

Is the important address actually what is listed on the I129F? is that what they will use for mailing by default? I don't want them to try to send the packet to her apartment as no one knows how to deliver mail there.

And last but not least, can I send it fed-ex? Or should it be registered mail?

I am excited to finally get this sent. I can't wait.

Thanks all!
