Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)AP completed, got the visa

Finally after a long wait of 4 months 11 days, the administrative processing on my case completed on Oct 11.

I got notification from the embassy to drop off my passport for visa issuance. I dropped it off on Oct 16 and collected it today.

As it was DCF in our case, the entire process was very fast. We had our first interview on March 22 & I received the visa on Oct 23 so exactly 7 months in total. The only thing that tested our patience was AP. Believe me guys if your case is in AP as well for a long time, all you need to show is patience, keep yourself busy in work, sports etc and some day your wait would be over.

A big thank you to all VJ members. Indeed, I got a lot of help from this wonderful forum.

my interview went well in 8 dec 2011 , i got AP , she told me check ur case status everyday in this link http://www.abudhabiivo.net/ after that drop ur passport.

USCIS Service CentersSlow day

serioja, you are only 6 weeks into the waiting game. It's a long road. Try to practice some patience because staring at Igor's list all day every day can drive a person completely crazy.

LOL I've been like serioja for a week now, staring at Igor's list and counting! Oh no, better stop or I might hear the voices too! I would want to receive NOA2 with my sanity intact

Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)K1 Visa Overstayed for less than 2 years.

Seems like I cannot edit my original post for the topic to correct my wrong.

It was my mistake.

about the year I came 2010 not 2009 oops8rh.gif    headbonk.gif

my visa exfire april 25 2010 exactly

I left the country april 18 2011

I am now married into a Pilipino guy... so maybe i was not really destined to live in the US. I just wanted to come back and thanks the people who had helped me on my misery while i was there...

I will try my luck to apply for a tourist visa after april . If i get denied to enter the country, no biggy good.gifI am sure immigration know what they are doing.  besides on the slight disappointment that i will not see my friends and enjoy a short vacation in the UScray5ol.gif

Okay i just checked my passport i think i miscalculated ..

SO what if you overstayed more than 6 months but less than a year?

Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)K1 Visa Overstayed for less than 2 years.

It's a three year bar for at least 180 days of overstay, and a ten year bar for at least 365 days of overstay, so you are barred for ten years from the day you left. For example, if you left on 1st January 2010, you are barred until 1st January 2020.

Thank you for the answer. Much appreciated

Means i cannot go back even over staying was not my choice.

hmmmm

10 years and possibilities forever! You better keep all your expired  passport, bank account, or any documents that you really indeed went back to Philippines.

I thought 10 years are for the ones that had over stayed for more than 2 years?
