You can keep calling them if you want.

You might get an operator that might tell you if they have room or not, but I guarantee you they will not say anything your wanting to hear.

Getting the interview appointment e-mail is your best bet.

As far as I know NVC will NOT arrange of the appointment schedule for the interview. It is the embassy who will give the date. I was once in your situation but I was lucky that they gave me an earlier date. They scheduled my interview around September 2011 wherein we got our NOA2 in April. I didn't stop sending them emails and faxes since May till June. Finally, they gave me a date earlier than September which was July 31. Now, I am currently in US. I would suggest you send an email to the embassy and also ask your fiancee to send one. That is what we did.

Pregnancy, unless high risk, is not a reason to expedite, especially since the USC is pregnant and is under no restrictions to return to the US to give birth

here is situation is opposite ,, we are living in UAE and my Wife USC (petitioner) and i am from Pakistan .my wife is pregnant , and i am waiting for my interview date, case completed on 19Aug 2011, now we already sent her Medical report (pregnancy report) to NVC , they are viewing now , i want to ask (pregnancy report) from Dr. is enough ?? and NVC will take action about my interview date?

I am surmising the terms of your UAE visa is that you must remain employed and upon that employment ending, you would no longer have status in the UAE and would be required to depart. You don't cancel your visa, only authorized government authorities do that.

I suppose it's possible but I figure that it is unlikely you will be able to do that. I would contact the Embassy in Abu Dhabi and see if you can get some kind of expedite based on your situation. Otherwise, you will have to contact the Embassy in Islamabad and have them send a request to Abu Dhabi to have your case transferred.

Why did they put you into AP? What reason was given?

i already updated on embassy review and they are checking name.

our appointment was 9Am but we went early at 8am and they let us in.
After security we went to the 1st counter one lady gave back all original Documents and any additional they had on file and told me to go another window for finger prints. After scanning we went to the next window there is one lady start questioning
She only asked me many questions:
What is your wife's name?
How did you meet?
Where will you live?
Where does your co-sponsor work?
what is his job position?
how long u have been married?
where did you get married?
when did you move to dubai?

she have already our wedding pictures.

Then she asked my wife:
what do you do in the US?
after stating that I moved to Dubai she asked When?
She asked if she hadn't worked since last year, she said no i work in dubai
What do you do?
who will support you when you get to the US?
when did you move to Dubai?

The interview went very well she said your all documents are fine,But we have to do additional process and she put me in Black-whole AP. :angry:

Need help from experienced UAE VJers

When I started reading about your situation, I thought someone had posted the question on my behalf. This was/is our situation as well. Every detail, except my fiance , Mary Ann also has a Travel visa for the U.S. , so it added even more confusion to the fold. She came to the U.S. to visit in January not intending to get married , so we didn't. We probably would have been ok, if we had and did a AOS. The problem was trying to take a shortcut didn't feel right , and she didn't want to leave her job like that... and We didn't want to risk her getting deported . We tossed around the idea of a wedding in the Philippines, but there's a minimum 3 week wait. I can't spend more than that away from my job, so that was not an option.We talked about a Dubai wedding and about getting married while she was here in NY and then petitioning cr-1, but we don't want to be apart after being married. She would have gone back to Dubai and awaited the visa. So we filed the K1 petition and now we wait. It's the decision we made and now we're dealing with it. Make up your mind, for her sake and file . We all have to wait. Sidebar, she also has a friend that is having trouble getting approved, but it's financial...too few months on the job. They are gonna go with a co-sponsor. We hope and pray they will get approved. Just take the leap of faith and File. It will be ok...or it won't, but you will never find out debating it.

I am the fiance and I'm currently residing and working here in Dubai. We have the same dilemma as you guys before but we eventually decided to file k1 while I'm still here working at least I get to earn while waiting for the visa. And I believe filing here in UAE would be much easier than be processed in Manila.

how do you know when embassy gets the petition file?

Hello! I received NOA2 last June 7th but until now I dint receive anything from NVC re: case number. How do they inform you about case number? Did NVC sent petitioner an email or mail by post?

About packet 3 and 4 from abu dhabi consulate was sent thru email also? These are the forms you have to submit during the interview, appointment letter and instructions right?

Honestly I dont have an idea about DS 230 part 2 being returned after the interview.

As far as I know, pages 3to4 are part of the whole DS 230.

I hope somebody else would shed some light about this.

Anyhow, I feel happy for you guys..

I have a question for recent Abu Dhabi applicants, I am scheduled for interview on 4th Sept. 2013... I just would like to ask, once visa is approved, how many days did it take before you received your passport with visa? I'm thinking of submitting my resignation letter immediately right after my visa is approved(im just attracting positive energy ) because I need to give my employer 30days notice before effectivity of resignation... I just hope that if ever, I will receive my passport few before last day here in UAE.

Really hoping those who had undergone Abu Dhabi interview for K1 can shed some light on the following questions.

1. Once petition has been approved NVC will send NOA2 email to pet & bene, hard copy to petitioner? YES

2. What's packet 3 or 4 and what does it contain? it will come from NVC? 3& 4 for abu dhabi i beleive is the appt letter - once the appt letter is received, you are good to go - no forms until you arrive for appt (DS forms, Afd't of support, medical, etc..)

3. NVC will send the packet to Abu Dhabi or to petitioner or to beneficiary? Abu Dhabi, Directly

4. Once received, Abu Dhabi will contact petitioner or beneficiary for scheduled appointment? Abu Dhabi automatically schedules the appointment, it will be typed on interview letter

5. Petitioner doesn't need to send required filled up forms, pay fees, etc. to Abu Dhabi.. instead, the beneficiary will just bring everything on the scheduled interview?

But it doesnt say there to whom the appointment letter will be sent? petitioner or the beneficiary? Also, the packet will be coming from Abu Dhabi right? which will include forms, instructions and appointment letter.. they will send it to the petitioner in the US or to the beneficiary here in UAE?
