K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	New and confused... Could use some guidance!	Your list looks good, you DO need BOTH of your sets of visa size photos (two each) with the initial petition. You don't need the beneficiary's birth cert until the interview. A word of advice though, include as much proof of having met and proof of an ongoing relationship as possible in the initial packet. It's very beneficial to front load at the lima embassy, it will make the interview go smoother. Anything in spanish being sent to USCIS needs to be translated.    Don't worry about the A-Number for now, if you don't have one leave it blank. The I-134, D156 and D-156K and if the beneficiary is male then the D-157 do not need to be filled out until the interview. Along with them, and proof of ongoing relationship, you'll need the beneficiary's passport and police certificates, they have a period of validity though so don't worry about getting them until your case has been forwarded from NVC to the embassy     Two passport photos each? Probably not a bad idea to have certified copies of any documentation that may be required for the interview. My petition was approved with my divorce decree, but I got a certified copy to send to my fiancee for her interview. I've seen consulate reviews that have prolonged the visa issuance due to their request for certified paperwork. Again, I don't know about London, but prob a good idea to over prepare! MARRIAGE CERTIFICATES: Previously married persons are required to present their marriage certificate OR  change of name certificates if they no longer have their marriage certificates. If the marriage certificate from the previous marriage has been submitted to the registrar?s office at the time of divorce, a change of name certificate must be obtained from the registrar?s office (RAGS). Dont forget this part as well:   9. DIVORCE/DEATH CERTIFICATES: Divorce certificate as a proof of the termination of any previous marriage must also be submitted. If the spouse is deceased, a death certificate should be submitted. Divorce certificates must be obtained at the local registrar?s office (RAGS). An outline of future events will not have any impact on the decision to approve or disapprove the issuance of the visa. You can present the info, but I don't think it matters. Bring all pertinent evidence at the time of the interview. ...I don't think Ukraine is a high fraud country as compared to others, but that may have changed within the last few months.   good luck! Philippines	dowry and rental car question	Generally, it is still wise to rent a car to somebody that your fiancee knows( relative,friend or neighbor )coz often times taxi cabs specially in Manila take advantage to people particularly to foreigners and OFW'S coming back home.( not all of cors ). About dowry, it's not being observed in the Philippines, and even supporting fiancee isnt common now..As in my case i never did asked my fiancee to support me nor my family.It wouldnt mean having a "kano " finacee would mean you got all the money.For some, perhaps that is their typical thinking to marry a kano to milk them but not all..like me, i work for my own not depend to my fiancee. Philippines	TSA Approved luggage padlocks	I've gone back and forth too and I've used just the regular gold and/or silver locks, never questioned. Others might have different stories. Philippines	My Receipt Number Not Yet Generated	I paid for my US Visa for K1 this morning at around 9:47am and now I am trying to schedule for an appointment but upto now my Receipt number is not yet generated by the computer. Anyone tell me whats going on. Thanks That is normal, I experienced the same thing.Paid in the morning and at 5pm I called,but the receipt wasn't generated yet. Philippines	Questions regarding schedule for medical exam and interview	Hello fellow Vj Members, We got our NOA2 on Nov. 19, 2012 and my fiance called the USCIS on Nov. 30, 2012, saying that they received the packet. The USCIS gave my fiance our MNL case number. Here are some of my concerns: 1. Can I have my medical exam even without the appointment letter from the US Embassy in Manila? 2. Can I have an appointment for the visa interview online (after paying the BPI)even I didn't receive any letter from the Embassy such as the packet 3 and packet 4? I really need help!!! Yes you can have your appointment interview even if u ddnt receive ur packet 3 & 4,this can be done online or by phone after paying at BPI but wait till noon b4 you can do it so that ur payment will be generated.I made my appointment online and it was hassle free. I tried calling the embassy twice but always busy.Then make sure you print the appointment letter (2 copies )coz u needed for your medical.It is always good to have ur medical 2 weeks ahead before your interview date so that in any case there will be problem on your medical results, you have enough time.You can do registration online for your medical in order for you to save time when u arrive at ST.LUKES. Philippines	Visa status - Invalid result	Hello once again fellow VJ members,congrats to all those who got their visas and for those who are with their love ones by now..for me, I am starting to worry now coz it's been 7 working days,since i had my interview and visa isnt here yet, tried to track on 2go but always shows me " INVALID " I tried to use my UID, PASSPORT # AND CASE #, but still gives me the same result. I emailed USEM but gives me different reply, like " transit from post ", no status update available ..is anybody here who had an interview like the timeframe i have and have their visa on hand? Philippines	Interview on December 10, 2012	Good afternoon to everyone here, fellow VJ members. We received our NOA2 last November 4 and the MNL case number after a few days and NVC told us they forwarded our case to USEM November 11. I scheduled my medical and passed it and scheduled my interview December 10. Now I realized and asked myself, Is our case with the USE? I never got the chance to call the USEM. I am all ready with the interview together with my daughter in Monday. Have everything ready except that I forgot to call the USEM to check of our case. I tried to call the office after 4:30 and its already closed. Now i am worried. I think you don't need to worry about your documents that the NVC have forwarded to the USEM,it's almost a month since they forwarded and i did the same thing, i alloted 2 weeks for my case to be at the USEM so far everything went great.Just got my visa today..GOODLUCK and GodBless you.. I am not sure about on what courier the USEM uses for sending the packet 3 or 4 if that is what you mean.Is it? if yes, then there is no need for you to wait for those letters for you to be able to make an interview schedule.If you already have the MNL CASE # then pay ur VISA at BPI BANK..then that is the time you can call the embassy for ur interview.Then have ur medical done at 2 weeks prior to your scheduled interview. Philippines	Gift ideas	Hi Kevo,i knew that place whre ur fiancee lives and i tell you lotions and perfumes is not wise to give as most of them don't use much of it coz they have traditional shampoos..it's a lot better if u ask your fiancee about it of which is most suitable items u could bring..my fiancee did thesame thing to me we talked about it and i told him what my family likes so it wont be a waste..anyhow anything u could bring will be highly appreciated though and your gestures count.. Which will take two weeks or never (like me nvc never sent us the hard copy letter) other members here said they do it with noa2 hard copy but i'm not really sure if it works but if u do the medical after u pay and set up your interview .. U only need the appointment comfirmation from the embassy print it and make two copies one for ur medical (another one for inteview) together with ur printed online registration from st. Luke's website. -cath ok thnks a lot for that great info again..it's better then that ill set an interview appointment b4 my medical so at least i have the appointment letter to be presented at st.lukes.. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	K-1 Visa Experience	i'm the petitioner (USC), here is our experience with the process from the beginning......... last time we met was Aug 2011, spent the whole time in Philippines from Aug 2011-Jan 2012 with her, then Jan 2012 i have to come back to US, to work and start the process, I searched about getting my GF here and found alot of choices, at first i called FilipinaFianceVisa, they said everything will cost me almost $2000, so i said forget it, i searched again and found VisaJourney, i spent a whole week reading comments, post, threads about K1 process and the married one, after those readings i talked to her about what i read, she said "i'm here to help you out", so there it is, i started the process, February 1, 2012, gathered all the Documents from my side, (US Passport, Naturalization, Birth Certificate, Parents Naturalization, Parents Passports, Divorce Decree, you name it everything that has to do with me), then the next day i told her to gather everything too. then After a week, i followed the steps on here, the K1 Visa guides, K1 Steps, i FOLLOWED STEPS BY STEPS, filled out I-129f online, G-325A online, sent her a copy, she printed out and sent to me with her original signature, then i finished all the required Documents while i was waiting, then off to finalizing the package, this is what in the package i sent to USCIS,: -Check for $340 -Notification Paper -Table Of Contents -I-129F -G-325A for me with my SIGNATURE, and her with her SIGNATURE -Letter of Intent, one for me with signature and her with signature -copy of my WHOLE PASSPORT, from front cover to back cover -copy of my naturalization -copy of my Divorce decree -boarding pass, pictures of me and her 15 pieces of pictures, NO TIME STAMP, i wrote our WHOLE NAME, Place where the Pic was taken, date on the back of every single photos i sent, we have pictures kissing together, about 5 of them. -skype logs, fb chats, yahoo emails, ****i went above and beyond with our packet, FRONT LOADING is what i read i think** then i check, check, check then checked again, then had my mom checked it, then my friend checked it, then i checked it again, then after checking maybe for a week, i still missed something on G-325A, from me and on her, so i have to wait again for her new G-325A, then again check n check again, a lot of checking. then finally her G-325a came in and all good to go, did the final check and everything looks good, SENT our PACKAGE APRIL 4,2012, then from there, NO MORE CONTROL AND IT's in GOD's Hand, a week later NOA1, then After that 4 months Later AUGUST 17 2012, receive a text from USCIS, APPROVED..NO RFE.. then 1 week later it was sent to NVC, then to USEM, then it was time to schedule her Interview, SCHEDULING INTERVIEW WAS A PAIN TOO, during that time there was no available date but i was calling every hour, i MEAN EVERY HOUR, then i finally got a date OCT 4, then Sep 24&25 medical interview for her, passed, then for me it was time to buy ticket nd fly to Philippines for her INTERVIEW, i brought with me, i-134 and letter of employment from 2 jobs dated 2 weeks prior to the interview, lots of fb chats, skype logs, yahoo emails, and skype photos, original divorce decree. and all the ds, ds156, ds156k, ds157 USEM INTERVIEW arrive at 4am, had to wait outside for about 2 hrs, there was 3 lines, seaman, k1, and nonimmigrant/tourist, then there was 2 different time to go in, 6:16/6:30 appointments go inside USEM EARLIER THAN 7:30 APPOINMENT TIMES, we are 7:30 so we got in the USEM AROUND 7am, then line to check your papers (ds papers) stapled together by USEM Employee then back to you, then security check then this window to give you number, as soon as we walked in, someone was asking for thr papers (ds papers that were stapled with your number) then wait for number, first finger print, then FILIPINO INTERVIEW, he asked her who i am, then asked me who i am and where is I-134, gave him I-134 with the letter of employment and stacks of my paystubs and tax transcripts for 3 years, he said looks good but you might need a new NBI WITH AKA JUST WAIT FOR THE US CONSUL AND SEE WHAT HE SAY, have a sit then to US CONSUL, right handto swear, both of us, then first question is this ur fiance, yes then all basic questions was asked to me (usc) and he said you are approved but can you please send us a new NBI WITH AKA, i said ok sir and thank, btw this guy is nice, i was talking to him like i know him, we talked about NFL, and how suck Georgia was cuz thats where he is from, lol, then off to last counter, gave us 221g, need NBI WITH AKA, so INTERVIEW WAS APPROVED.... went to NBI SAME DAY, got new Nbi same day with aka, sent it to USEM WITH 2go, then TODAY OCT 20, received the visa on hand with the packet ( sealed ) CFO MONDAY THEN TUESDAY/wednesday flight here to USA...... PLEASE MEASSAGE IF YOU NEED HELP or have questions...
