K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	My Medical Exam at SLEC	Hello fellow VJ members, I am so glad that RYRO ( ROCHELLE - I met her during that time and we both had our medical) have posted her wonderful experience of her Medical at SLEC, all she have shared is indeed of great help to those who are planning to have their medical..One more tip, pls have all your documents be photocopied in a short bond paper because that was the prob. i encountered during that day, only 1 page was in long bond paper and the lady assisted me did not honor, so i have to be out and have it copied, that made 5 persons ahead of me. Note: After the 1ST STEP of the medical process, ur number will not be followed anymore, it would seem be like a race from one counter to another, and INDEED! using the stairs would be of great help.Using an elevator is just a waste of time. Drinking water is allowed inside and a pack of cookie, i suggest you to bring some coz in each counter has long que.It is also better to use comfortable clothes and shoes that can be easily taken off during the day coz of chest and physical exam. BUT MOST OF ALL, BE ATTENTIVE COZ MICROPHONES and GUARD'S VOICE ARE SOMETIMES EITHER UNCLEAR AND SOFT AND THAT YOU CAN HARDLY HEAR YOUR number or NAME TO BE CALLED, that happened to me and Rochelle we were not aware our numbers are being announced by the guard to make a line for the first step and again i think 2 persons were ahead of us it's good we approached the guard and asked...forget being "SHY" in this matter hehhehe..I think I have told everything me and Rochelle have experienced that day...GOODLUCK TO ALL OF US.. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	CFO & INTERVIEW - SUCCESFUL	Hellow fellow members just wanna share my experiences for days that might help to those who are waiting for their interview and CFO. CFO I arrived at the CFO office around 6:05am and as I expected ques are already long,so asked one lady where does the end of the line for US applicants of K1 and to my surprise she was sarcastic and said " ONLY AUSTRALIAN APPLICANTS WILL BE ENTERTAINED TODAY , US APPLICANTS ARE NOT " and I answered, I checked the CFO site and saw the schedule and countries that are supposed entertained for the day and US is included and in fact 30 slots are even listed, then she was quiet.Mind you fellow members, there are really people aren't helpful and don't mind them, just go on with business. So I still waited 'till the office finally opened and thank GOD i was right, US applicants were entertained and I even got a morning slot session.It is very easy as long as you have the documents and as usual be attentive coz you will be given instructions.First , ur documents will be checked by the staff before you enter the room wherein ull be given further instructions. I think pink ID with a number is given to US visa applicants.Secondly your will be advised to go the 6th flr.if im not mistaken and that will start the registration & seminar.I enjoyed the seminar part coz it's kind a sharing and of cors ull meet new friends.There will be one on one counseling but don't worry just take 1 - 2 mins and the person in-charge is very kind woman.Lastly, longest part was the releasing of certificate/sticker. I found out that it is better to attend CFO after the VISA, I observed that the time for just having the seminar prior to the visa is just the same as getting the sticker.So,if I may suggest wait for your visa first before having ur CFO. If only i have known it before, perhaps i did my CFO after my visa is at hand. Documents needed: 1. Original Passport & 1 copy of the bio page only. 2.Original & copy of ur visa 3. Original & copy of CFO certificate 4. 1 copy of 2 valid ID's ( 1 bond paper ) 5. 1 valid ID to be used as ur passes in entering the office and when ur done u can get it back and return the ID tag that they will give to you 6. U may download the registration form at www.cfo.gov.ph or u can have it from the office. INTERVIEW I arrived at the embassy at 5:00 am for my 7:30 schedule and it was just fine i waited not long enough coz at 5:50 all K1 VISA applicant with 7:30 appt.were instructed to form 1 line ( per visa category - for checking the DS FORMS) please have ur ds forms arrange in order DS156( 2 COPIES )DS157 ( 2 COPIES) DS 156k( 1 COPY )then staple them with the first page only of your appointment letter, which is the first one followed by the ds forms.They did not ask for my ID.Interview wasn't hard as I expected, the flow went well as long as u listen and follow the instructions given by the staffs with BLUE shirts.Make sure that you have ur DS forms are properly and completely filled out coz if not they will call you to accomplish them and that may cause some delays. After the checking of ds forms, ur passport will be put inside the ziplock plastic and be given bck to you together with the ds form the ull be entering the building for security check ( no elec.gadgets are allowed of any kind )then ull proceed inside and again u need to que in getting ur golden number.Upon having the number the person will instruct you to drop your ds forms at window 39, but in my case one of the staff took my ds forms and some of my batchmates and she was the on who dropped at window 39 that is fine as they are the staffs helping to speed up the procees.Then you may take ur sit and wait for your number to be flashed from the screen and what window ur supposed to go( numbers are FLASHED randomly )so be vigilant and attentive.first Biometrics, then bck to sit wait again for ur number to be flashed.Second, interview with the filipino consul at this point, my CO was very kind and just ask me to submit my clearances like CENOMAR,BC etc,then took my fiance's W2,134,& ITR and the only thing she asked was my fiance's job then she looked at docs i gave her and said " your documents are well organized so as ur 129 packet wow GREAT job from my FIANCE and that was it done )then CO will let you go bck to ur sit and wait for ur number again.At this point TIME for my final interview my american CO wasnt smiling at all even i greeted and smiled at her, she was looking on my papers then she asked about my INDONESIAN police clearance, what was my job in Indonesia and that was it she ddnt tell if im approve( on this step it varies coz it depends on the instruction given to you by the american consul) in my case, i was instructed to sit down and wait for my name or number to be called (waited for about an hour and half....finally my nunmber was called at window 71 and said i may go home and have my brunch and wait for my visa to be delivered since i opted to be home delivery when i scheduled my interview )THAT WAS THE ONLY TIME I FELT GREAT AND SAID "THANK YOU LORD".The feeling of just sitting down waiting without any assurance that im approve is the hardest feeling i ever had in my life coz iddnt hear from my final CO any word of approval.Some CO does tell though.. So fellow members just have trust and faith in the LORD and believed that he does everything for us. PRAY.. I apolize for some gramatical errors for all i wanted is to share..GOD BLESS US ALL IN OUR JOURNEY AND GOODLUCK TO THOSE WHO HAVE AN UPCOMING INTERVIEW..GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME.. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	be ready for the next step	as soon as you getbthe mnl# u can set up ur appoinent interview online, and hope they have open slot, then when u get an interview date you can do your medical, but before all this, go ahead pay your visa at any bpi, during the interview? questions are bery different, but they are easy uestions, pretty much just basic questions, just make sure ubhave all the documents that they want. if he makes above poverty then you are fine, as long as you have no problems with papers, and have all the required documents then you will be fine... Thanks for this post for indeed it helps our fellow VJ members.In connection with this I also have a question about setting an appointment date for an interview. I'm planning to pay for the visa fee at BPI tomorrow since my fifiance already got our MNLcase# last Friday.Is it ok to call the manila embassy for confirmation if they already receive our papers from NVC? and wht is the best to set for an interview appointment thru phone or email? For those who want to schedule their interview by phone, just tell the call center agent "yes" when they ask whether you have received the letter from the Embassy. The call center agents don't realize that you can make an interview appointment without having received the letter from the Embassy. They also don't realize that some people never receive the letter. If Chinook had waited for the letter, she would still be in Bacolod. Hello fellow member, i agree with your post coz when i called yesterday the agent did ask about the letter and of course i answerd " no " so i was not able to have my appoinment scheduled but for today im going to do it again and thnks for posting this im pretty sure agent doesn't really know about those things. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Post NOA2 received --- What's next?	schedule it online instead of calling it will be less of a hassle, a lot of times i read here that they dont send out packet 3, i scheduled mine 6 hours after i paid at BPI and that was last month and i got the packet 3 more than a month from that date.. so i would say do it online and dont wait for packet 3 ha Thanks a lot for ur input here. I'll do it online tom in the morning.So, how long did you wait for your interview date after u did online? did you wait for the appointment letter to be sent in your mail b4 u had ur medical? I have a question here that is related to this post.Today , I paid my Visa fee at BPI, and this afternoon I called the embassy to have an interview date slot but unfortunately the person assisted asked if i receive a letter from us embassy ( paket 3) i said not yet, i told him that my fiance got our MNLCASE # BY CALLING NVC, he told me to wait for the letter.I confused now.do i really need to wait? another option he gave me was to tell my fiance to call bck NVC to ask the exct date they forwarded our papers in mnila by then i can have interview slot. I was thinking im going to take the 2nd option. Any members here who encountred this kind of situation.. pls. do shre thnk you so much..I am planning to call again the us embassy tom.. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	PACKET 1 CONTENTS (MORE THAN REQUIRED)	Hi fellow Vj members who got questions on what documents u must include in the I-129 as the beneficiary..In my case i sent the following docs to my fiance and it went well so far..I am waiting for my interview on Nov. 23, 2012. 1. original copy of birth certificate ( MUST BE ISSUED BY NSO ) 2. Hand written letter of intent with my signature ( original copy ) 3. Typed written letter of intent with signature ( original ) 4. scanned copy of all pages of my passport ( u can email this and ur fiancee can print so it wont be heavy in the package) 5. filled G325-a form with signature ( original)- this form cnt be scanned must have the original ink of signature 6. pictures can be scanned and some proofs like boarding passes of your fiancee, receipts when u spent time together etc. ur fiancee can do all these stuffs.. like wht my fiancee did..pls try to read more of the instructions and guides in assembling the 1-129 packet on this site it's all there to further give you the details..there is no need for NBI, CENOMAR yet.. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	NEW here K1 fiancee visa need help	Hi this is Josie, nice to hear ur about to start ur visa journey. I would say that it is a lot better to do ur fiance visa without a lawyer coz ur right it will cost you a lot. The guidelines for fiance visa is also found on this site all the necessaryI papers that u needed are all here.Just make sure u already have ur passport and an NSO issued birth certificate.In my case i had to give the following documents to my fiance. 1. Photocopy of all the pages of my passport 2. original copy of my birth certificate 3. letter of intent to marry ( note must have ut original sign) example of this letter can be found also in this site. 4. fill up form G - 325a and I- 129 form.( must have ur oginal signature) i guess these are the docs i can remember, but as i have said pls refer to the guidelines for the packet. Tips: pls keep all the receipts you have during the holiday with ur fiance coz some of it will be needed and travel boarding passes of your fiance back and forth from his frist visit and 2nd visit as well Me and my fiance is already on the interview stage, which im going to have on NOV.23.. goodluck and for sure GOD will be on ur side.. Pray for the best..I had my medical 5 & 6 of nov. nd my interview will be on the 23rd. and have my CFO seminar ( mandatory for foreign partners leaving the philippines ) on the 22nd prior to my interview so that i can just have my sticker done after the visa is at hand..this way could save time and money. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Applying K-1 in the Philippines	hi everyone! i've been reading on this site for a while now and it has given us great tips and "aha" moments. My boyfriend and i have been in a long distance relationship for almost 3 yrs. now and we want to settle down soon. I am a filipina and currently living and working in Thailand as a teacher. Initially, we have agreed to have our fiance visa processed here. But lately, I have been thinking of going home to the Philippines to have a long and break and eventually have our K-1 visa processed there instead. My question is, how true are the allegations of red tapes and difficult processing there? Many have told me that it's easier to process outside of your own country? I need to decide soon. Your advises and suggestions would be highly appreciated. I have a similar case from urs, the difference is that I used to teach in Indonesia, after I made inquiries about filing K1 - VISA here i found out that it is wise to process in the Philippines coz the interview will happen at your birth country, it's not true about red tape it depends on your documents if you comply with all the requirements there will be no problem. Me and my fiance filed last April and now i'm waiting for my interview this month so it is a case to case basis.Just don't forget to get a police clearance or certificate there in THailand before you come back to the Philippines as it will be needed during ur interview at the us embassy in manila.I hope this insight is helpful to you. I have been taking caring of many things and changing my licenses had the least priority. I sent my application for naturalisation and didn't think everything would happen this fast. I sent everything it in December and I have my interview in a week or so. What do you guys suggest?
