mustafa1232 - I would take some action because of the delay. Are you sure your wife filed after she became a US Citizen, or if she filed while she was a GC holder then did she update the application ? Because from the timelines I am watching on VJ, it is getting processed within 5 months. You may want to get your wife to file for the K-3 Visa meanwhile if she has not done so. Also, if she is a US Citizen then she should get a good lawyer to find out whats going on.

I wish you all the best and good luck !! Stay positive, I am sure it will all work out very soon.

THIS IS WRONG... K3 IS NOT LONGER AVAILABLE.. HE SHOULD WAIT AT LEAST 2 MONTH TO RECEIVES NOA2...THINK THAT YOU FILE THE DATE OF THE UPGRADE AND COUNT FROM IT...

what I understand is that the first thing is that you need to call them to confirm that that date and time is your interview
and that you need to do your medicals and send a copy of the medical exam envelope and the photos prior to the interview... for the medical exam you whould go to your personal doctor to obtain a copy of the immunization record
and you need to make appointment 3 days before the day that you want to go

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE PHYSICAL EXAMINATION
Before coming to your immigrant visa appointment you will have to undergo a medical examination in the following order:
1)
VERIFY YOUR VACCINATIONS: US Immigration Law requires that all Immigrant visa applicants obtain certain vaccinations prior to the issuance of an Immigrant Visa. The actual vaccinations you will require will depend on your age, gender and medical condition. The vaccinations that may be required are:
MUMPS, MEASLES, RUBELLA, POLIO, TETANUS AND DIPHTHERIA TOXOIDS, PERTUSSIS, HAEMOPHILUS INFLUENZAE TYPE B (HIB), HEPATITIS B, VARICELLA, PNEUMOCOCCAL, INFLUENZA, ROTAVIRUS, HEPATITIS A and MENINGOCOCCAL.
In order to assist the panel physician, and to avoid delays in the processing of an Immigrant Visa, all Immigrant Visa Applicants should have their vaccination records available for the panel physician’s review at the time of the immigrant medical examination. If you do not have a vaccination record, you should contact your family doctor or regular health care provider BEFORE the appointment date, in order to obtain a copy of the immunization record. Please DO NOT schedule your appointment until you have a vaccination record. You can discuss with the panel physician which vaccinations you may need to meet the requirements, or justify certain vaccination waivers. Only a physician can determine which of the listed vaccinations are medically inappropriate for you, given your age, medical history and/ or current medical condition. You can also visit Dr. Stamboulian offices for information regarding availability and provision of vaccination services (4515-3000 or visit the web site at http://www.drstamboulian.com.ar/ ). The vaccination fee will depend on which vaccinations are needed.
PLEASE NOTE: Vaccination requirements do not apply at this time to K and V visa Applicants. However, they will be required by the US Department of Homeland Security at the time of the change of status in the US.
2)
LABORATORY TESTS: Before you appointment with the doctor, you should complete the following exams:
SEROLOGY TEST: $25 Pesos
CHEST X-RAY: $40 Pesos

Good luck.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresMoving to a CR-1 and blowing up a K-1
Hi, I have been a member here for more than 1 year now. I just want to tell you that we are blowing up a K1 visa that I have stamped on my passport and moving to get marry and to apply for a CR-1, the main reason of this is because some financial responsabilities that I have here in my homeland with my mother. We are getting marry at the begining of Sept, and starting the whole process again.

I am writing this info here for asking to all of you advice on what to include in the package and on how to speed the whole process in general. I already read and printed the guides for the CR1 process and have them with me.

We are thinking about to include a letter with copies of the NOA1 and NOA2 of the K1, in order to let them know that my SO already has the FBI check name done and there is not doubt of our relationship.

More advice will be appreciated. wacko.gif good.gif star_smile.gif

Let me let you know now that if the father is listed on the BC of the child and you are doing the CR1/CR2 route you will need a notorized letter from the father allowing the child to immigrate to the US. This letter will be needed in a few months when you case gets to the NVC.

I read you timeline story and see that you are dropping from the K-1 in able to come to the US and start working , I hope all goes well with this new course you are taking smile.gif

Yes, the father name is listed on the BC and he was ready to give me the permission for taking my son out the country. Thanks for the info I don't think he is going to have any problem with this.

Yes, I am going to drop from a K1. I am going to get marry at the begining of Sept.

Yes, I hope too everything goes well, I am trying to skip the AOS once I get there, me sitting in a house it is almost impossible for me. I have some financial responsabilites with my mother here in my country.

You file separate I-130s and the fees are the same.
Documentation also other than the BCs.

2 forms I-130s and 2 fees?

Yep!

Thanks for your response.

By any chance do you know what do we have to attach for my son I-130 other than the marriage certificate and the birth certificate?

Is the child going seperatly from the Mom/dad? Or will you be applying for both at the same time?

I would be the benecificiary of the CR1; my son who is going to be 8 years old next month would get the CR-2. His father never has been in the context, my SO is going to apply for both of us.
