Mexico, Latin & South AmericaYardie Party!!! Come as you are - Part 1

Good afternoon/evening everyone!! First let me start by saying congrats to all the mama's!! I have some serious baby fever Posted Image but we will not be entertaining that idea at this point!

We got NOA1 dated 12/1/2010!! Posted Image

But looking ahead at the income and sponsor part.....my very close friend said she was willing to do it but asked what she would be getting herself in for.......Posted Image I actually found myself struggling to explain it!! I tried and stumbled looking for the right way to tell her....I know that being a co-sponsor means financial responsibility we get that part, but her question was (playing devil's advocate) "what if he came here and became a loser?" like if me and him don't work out and left and incurred debt??? Hmmmmmmm any idea's on how to properly respond to that? I mean, with the sponsor's responsibility to the debt? Or do you know where to find info for that? (I am sort of lame at finding these kinds of answers on the net)Posted Image

search under i-864 sponsor responsibilty.uscis website has information with regards to this, but this forum is the best place to look with regards to sponsors responsibility. I had to do this with two separate people, as I was the one receiving the benefit, it might help if the one getting the benefit reassure her that that would not happen. search the forum for similar issues and I'm positive you will get the answer you need, this is one of the most extensive and informative sites for that. she is however your friend, i think truth is the best policy. I said that I would never get welfare or medicare that my sponsor would have to pay back, I promised that would not happen, i would go home first.

all the best

I have read your posts during our K-1 journey. Truly sorry that you are going through such bull$¥*±. Wow, it seems to have gone from bad to worse for you. You have to go with your gut feelings in my opinion. I swore that I would never again put up with someone who didn't give back 100%. If salvageable, lay it on the line. Send him across the pond and offer her the same if things don't improve between the two of you within 30 days. Yes, you agreed to take care of them (within limits). What about your needs? Doesn't she and the son have some responsibility to you as well?

I am not advocating a conflict with any regime. I applaud the Russians for intercepting the sodium-22 before the shipment could be transported to Iran. Where, or to what terrorist group it was ultimately destined for is my issue of concern. I remember the Pueblo incident well. Good riddance to Little Kim, the despot!

Chicago, and Washington DC both have/had super tight gun control laws and both have a crime rate off the hook along with gun related crimes. California comes to mind also....super tight gun control laws with a very high crime rate. I don't have the links...google will work, but I'm guessing Gary has a few links to those statistics and a few more.

Detroit's homicide rate is up this year. 12% unemployment can be just one of the factors.

Russia, Ukraine and BelarusSiberia to Separate from Russia to become Part of the USA
Siberia to separate from Russia to become a part of USA

28.12.2011 15:43

The idea to separate Siberia and annex the territory to the United States of America has been engrossing the minds of Siberian separatists for a long time already. Surprisingly, or maybe not, they find the support from across the ocean.

Many, if not all Siberians, may think at times that the Siberian regions with their natural riches live poorly just because they have to give away a big part of their incomes to other territories of the Russian Federation. It is not a very popular idea in Siberia, of course, but it may visit people's minds time and again. Some people even tried to put that idea into action: they decided to establish a political movement. The vain attempts did not lead to anything, but quantity may easily evolve into quality, especially if they find powerful forces of support.

A whole movement emerged during the recent population census in the Russian Federation. The movement promotes the idea to identify the nationality of those living in Siberia as the Siberians. A special group appeared on Facebook in the summer of the outgoing year. The members of the group believe that Siberia should become a part of the United States of America. The initiator of the strange movement, Vladimir Kiselyov, a 37-year-old resident of the city of Mezhdurechensk, believes that Siberia must get rid of the Moscow yoke. According to him, Siberia will not be able to become an independent state. The only way for the territory to prosper in the future is to become a part of the US.

"The referendum will be held with the help of the US administration. The US has successful experience in obtaining independence. After the referendum, Siberia will become a part of the territory of the United States, just like California and Alaska are, even though they were Russian colonies in the 19th century," Kiselyov said.

You may laugh at it, but the idea finds its followers in the US. US politician Zbigniew Brzezhinski, a well-known politician, put forward an idea during his speech at the Political Forum in Yaroslavl to create a new commonwealth from Vancouver to Vladivostok. The politician did not specify, from which end the movement was supposed to start, but judging upon Brzezhinski's views, one shall assume that he was interested in the shortest way possible. It appears that America approaches the goal responsibly and begins to train managers to administer the new territories.

The Irkutsk State University has recently held a seminar with the participation of fifth-year students of the US-Siberian Department for Management and "Regionalistic Alternative to Siberia" Public Movement. The future graduates of the US-Siberian Department of the University analyzed the pluses and minuses of the future of the Siberian state, as well as the risks for its creation and existence. First priority was paid to the economic grounds of the state of Siberia," the final report at the seminar said.

This is not a joke already. It goes about Russian specialists, the future elite of the Russian society, although this society is not actually Russian. It is also very alarming that such seminars are held at a higher educational institution, whose administration does not seem to care much about the propaganda of separatist ideas among its students.

Always expect the unexpected. Lena scheduled her medical one month before her interview, and it was a good thing she did! She had to return for further testing the following week because the physician suspected something he saw on her chest film. Turned out to be negative. We were glad to have the one-month cushion.

Yes, that's my point. She won't be starting work immediately - we have a 3 month old kid, and she is going to be staying home with her until she is old enough to go to pre-school. That whole time she will be living here with me, going to movies, watching tv, shopping. She'll get chances to practice, and I plan on getting her into some ESL courses before she gets out in the real world and gets a job.

I guess the only thing I can say to that is I really don't think she's scamming me, I've spent 2 seperate weeks together, talk often on skype and email daily and you can tell if someone loves you, or is using you. I think if anything, she believes that a man is supposed to support his woman financially. I'm fortunate that I can do it, but time will tell I guess. I have had to stop sending money a few times when I was unable too and she was fine with it. I'd feel better if she did work and I could help her out with some money.

Now that's a hard working woman! Congrats on your approval.

She said she had help from her parent and boyfriends. I'm wondering how much an educated woman can make on average/month there. Does anyone know?

My SO has 3 jobs, phys ed teacher full time @ 200 USD per month, 3 nights a week teaching aerobics @ 130 USD a month and as a swimming instructor on Saturdays @ 75 USD per month. Only enough to sustain a living.

Russia, Ukraine and BelarusFSU spouse politics

Alla refers to it as "Soviet Union" or "SSSR", I have never heard her say "USSR" Does Tanya? Just curious. The name of our street in Donetsk translates to "50 Years SSSR" and was renamed in 1972 for the big celebration. It has not been changed back. Odd, since they went to huge effort to remove all the sewer covers with the hammer and sickle and replace them with new ones with the Ukrainian symbol.

Lena's street in Kharkov too was 50 Years SSSR. Soon it will take 1 Billion dollars to run for President.
