Some people disengage as a response to emotionally heavy episodes like death.  It just seems best to them to not get emotionally involved when others are grieving.  I would try to look over this.  If she does not insist on scratching tickets in the hospital, then that is not much of an issue. About safety, your primary concern is if she has a husband or suitor.  Very many women there will not be straightforward or even honest about that, so try to investigate in some detail.  Some will just think it is acceptable to not tell you the truth.  Also, holding off from visiting her family home is safest, until you feel very comfortable about her. Although to be honest, I found out later that her mom put up another 15,000 php of her own money because the actual party cost was closer to 30,000.....   (they didn't want to tell me because they knew I would be upset at that level of spending...and that I originally budgeted 8,000...). To be fair, they invited the whole neighborhood of almost 100 people with catered food, had karoke and fireworks to hear my proposal to her .   Unfortunately, paying for such things without controlling how the money is spent gives the signal that your wallet is open for them, to spend as they see fit.  You can anticipate more requests that will seem difficult or heartless to say no to, until you show disapproval. A few other notes:   a) Avoid using insult terms like "scammer" ( i.e. "cheater", "liar", "crazy", etc) when talking about her, no matter how you feel about her or her behavior.  They would cause many people to not listen to you, and get defensive.   b) He really needs to talk with her about these issues, but not take what she says at face value.  Basically advise him to ask her the hard questions, and dig deep.  And to practice "trust but verify"... to not hesitate to check if what she says is true.   c) Is he sure she is not pregnant? Most likely there have been a lot of applications coming in and we have the the straight up fact that Americas economy is very bad right now. So I don't think they are putting their last bucks on hiring more staff to help our love lives. Actually the USCIS is funded mostly by fees. Philippines	Good or bad idea?	If you are towards the end of your petition getting approved (of course we never know for sure when), I would suggest you to stay. In case you get a RFE or get approved, you can response immediately and this might shorten the process in a way. If you are just at the beginning of the journey, it won't hurt to visit your fiance! Didn't received no text or email like we did for NOA1 but I believe this is the NOA2!!! So we are thrilled!!!! Any other March filers got their NOA2?? Heard that the CSC is speeding up but didn't expect it to be so soon!!! Below is what the USCIS posted: Post Decision Activity On July 24, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283. For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. Philippines	confused !..pls fellow pinoy just recent had der medical and interview..	In my case we never got a letter from NVC, when my fiance called the NVC to ask for the letter they said there is no letter then thw guy gave us our case number. Then I emailed embassy, cause that time I need a request authority to get a police clearance from other country, I just gave them my MNL case number and the didnt ask any letter from the NVC. I had the medical and appointment without it. Philippines	is it my documents for medical complete?	Hi missy! I finished my medical withn the day. Immunization shots were given n the afternoon. If there's no problem with yur medical results they can give you the immuniations in the afternoon. Sometimes it may take you 2days to complete I was at the line around 4.30am and got inside the building around 6am. They give you queue number outside for processing after that you'll start your lab exams. I started at 730 and finished around 1030. Results at 1.30 immunization after that. Got my Xray CD and Vaccination record at 330. I went there Wednesday and the there are only few applicants.
