I will have to start taking some folic acid and other vitamins so this morning sickness stops. I didn't even eat anything in the morning and when I woke up spew. Then to make it worse two of my students spewed on me today. My lovely day.

Thanks everyone for the congrats. I really didn't think it would happen so quickly. Rhonda how is everything going in your kneck of the woods? luv.gif

Be aware that some prenatal vitamins can actually make morning sickness worse. Some women can't stomach them. I had no problems - I take a prescription one called "Prenate Elite". I also took additional vitmain B6 during the 1st trimester to help with the morning sickness. Also, I found that I was actually sicker when I didn't eat! I had to keep something in my stomach all the time - crackers, toast, pretzels - to keep the nausea at bay.

Things are good with us. I closed on my house on Friday (Aug 31) and we will close on the new house this Thursday, Sept. 6. Then Tony has a lot of painting to do whistling.gif and we have to get new carpet before we move in. I'm also trying to get ready for my baby shower which is going to be at the end of October. I'm registering at Babies-r-us which is fun, but also stressful trying to figure out everything that I will need wacko.gif

I know a guy who went for his AOS interview and they aked him what type of protection he uses when he has intercourse with his wife and he told them that they did not use anything. He was thinking of him using a condom. She was previously interviewed separately and told them that she uses an IUD. Take it that this guy did not even know that she uses this thing or what an IUD was. This was a genuine marriage and they were denied. A lawyer told him that they are not supposed to ask such personal questions, but they (USCIS) can do whatever they want. If a lawyer was present he would not have had to answer that question. He has hired a lawyer to file an appeal and work on his case. mad.gif mad.gif

That is just crazy ranting33va.gif They shouldn't ask such personal questions. Not to mention, a LOT of guys have no clue what an IUD is anyways!

Yes, morning sickness has been the worst part for me so far. Thank goodness it (usually) goes away after the 1st trimester. I ate a lot of carbs when I felt sick - it was the easiest to keep down. Meat made me sick. Also, try sour stuff - lemonade, sour candy, etc.. And ask your doc about taking extra Vitamin B6 - it helps with the nausea.

I usually take US Airways with an layover in Charlotte, NC or AirJamaica. I haven't any had any major problems with either carriers although I love AirJamaica...only a 3 hour flight.

I LOVE non-stop flights. You save soooo much time that way and it's especially nice on the way back going through customs. I wish Air JA flew out of Detroit. Northwest is the only airline that sometimes has non-stop flights from Detroit to JA and even if they're more money, it's worth it to me yes.gif

I had an absolutely horrible experience flying on US Airways....lost my sons luggage for over 24 hours while in Jamaica, but ....if the price is right yes.gif

Their price would have to be about HALF of the other airlines for me to fly them again yes.gif

I agree with you on the frequent flyer miles - they sure do make it hard to try and schedule those flights. That's why I was so upset when I had to delay/rebook my most recent JA trip due to the hurricane. I had a perfect flight booked using my miles. The flight there was even non-stop which is almost impossible to find from Detroit sad.gif

I think everyone is just warning you of what has happened in past cases when their S.O. admitted to drug use. When it comes to the Embassy, honestly is NOT always the best policy no0pb.gif We have seen more than one person get denied JUST for admitting to drug use in the past - EVEN when their drug test came out CLEAN. That's why it is stressed over and over that you should never admit to it. If you say you haven't used drugs and then your test comes back dirty, you're going to get denied anyway for testing positive. You're not getting denied for lying so at that point it is irrelevant whether or not you told the truth.

I've been on this board for over 3 years and I've never heard of anyone having to do the hair test either. Tony also had a blood test and NO he did not admit to smoking either. I believe the test for drugs is pretty standard in Jamaica (whether you admit to smoking or not) because of the reputation of the island.
