I am sitting over here waiting for Mrs. Monthly to come so pleazzzzz send me goood vibes because I do not think I am ready to join your new "club"... not just yet....maybe next year!!!!

Hey Rhonda...we might be in Ochi the same time in August.....I will keep you posted.........

......where is Mindy???????

Me and Jonesie are BOTH due at the same time   December 15/16 - I think her's is 15, mine is 16. You can join our "club" any time you want :luv:

Let me know when you'll be in Ochi. That would be awesome if we could meet up  I've only met 1 person from Vj so far and that was 3 years ago now!! And we're still good friends - we see each other every couple of months.

Mindy left the board :crying:  She was tired of all the B.S. that was going on here for awhile with everyone bashing one another :bonk: and being mean. Hopefully we've put a stop to that now - maybe I can lure her back ;)

Well, we've made up our minds - almost. We're going to Jamaica in August instead of November. I really don't want to go into labor in JA  I'm going from Aug. 18-25 and Tony will either go at the same time as me or 1 week before that. He wants to spend more time with his family and friends and I can't get any more vacation time. It will all depend on how much money he can save up for the trip (1 week vs. 2 weeks)

Didn' a couple of you other Yardie's mention that you may be in JA in August? What part of JA? I will be in Ochi as usual. B)

Lucky you have MORNING sickness, mine lasted ALL day :crying:

I really envy people who say they loved being pregnant, I can't think of ONE thing I like about being pregnant :(

I haven't really had it too much yet. I was just saying I'm scared of it  I have had a few bouts of nausea, but no puking yet. Who knows what even qualifies as "morning" for me? I work from 11pm to 7:30am so I don't wake up til around 5 pm!! I don't know when my morning is!!!

Hello Ladies,

Still hard to believe I'm really preggo  Am I supposed to feel different? I don't feel anything!

Count your blessings, I got pregnant around Xmas, and by EARLY Jan I was throwing up, less than 2 WEEKS later....Only JUST stopped :(
Then the heartburn started :(

Yeah, I spoke too soon  I am sooooo moody, emotional, and short tempered - it's like I have PMS all the time :crying: My face is breaking out. My boobs hurt. I'm really tired. I'm scared to death of morning sickness  :help:

Hey you wonderful people. It hurts too much to repeat, but here is a little about what has been happening to me. Click on the link below on the main Forum for K-1

Be blessed & keep me in your prayers. Please, please pray for me to have strength.

What a freaking a**h*le :ranting:  :bonk: I am so sorry you had to go through all this. Unfortunately you just never know. Hang in there - you got some good advice already about contacting INS and such to cover your own butt - I would definately do that. After 90 days, he will be here ILLEGALLY and since you reported it, it is not your responsibility.

I might seem a little impatient, but is is normal that my file has not been touched since the 5th of April which was coincidentally the same day I received my NOA1.

I'm just a little worried that it has not been touched, I look at other timelines at Vermont and it seem like they issue NAO2's or RFE's within 2 weeks of the NOA1. I'm just wondering whether or not they lost my package or something. At one point should I consider calling?

Thanks for your help.

Yes, you're waaaaay too impatient  Your NOA1 is ONLY 2 weeks old!!! I had to wait approx. 90 days from my NOA1 til the NOA2. Count yourself lucky that you're going thru Vermont.

HEY RHONDAPAYTER I WASN'T SURE IF YOU WERE EPLYING TO ME...WHAT DO U MEAN MY NOA IS ONLY 2 WKS ? IM NOT EVEN SURE WHAT HALF OF THESE ACRONYMS ARE

THANKS

The NOA is Notice of Approval. You get an NOA1 when you first send in your Visa petition. Then, after it is approved, you will get an NOA2. The majority of us had to wait 2 to 4 months from the time we sent in our petition until we received an NOA2. That's why I said you're being impatient :P You just got your NOA1 on April 5 right? That was just a few weeks ago!!!

I've been thinking, the Yardie compund is a really cool idea. But until we can settle on a location hows about we HOUSE SWAP! Kinda like that show Wife Swap, except were not exchanging husbands and wives, were swapping homes for a weekend.

 I think it would be even better if we did do a "wife swap"!!! Wouldn't that be funny to see how everyone else's Jamaican husband REALLY was??!!!

I have shared my complete story with a couple of people and some have encouraged me to share on the Yardie thread…I haven’t had the courage to do so before now but I can see that it might be helpful and felt that now is the right time. Also I have been getting a lot of questions via PM about my life and the move and just wanted to answer them all at one time...So this is my story and even if it is useful to ONE person than it is worth it.

Jamie, thank you SOOOOOOO much for sharing your story. I've been really worried about you and wondering how things were going. You are doing the RIGHT thing. If you need anything at all, e-mail me, PM me or call me.

We (L) You

Rhonda have a great night at work . Did you watch that show I think it is called "Notes from the underbelly"? I thought it was funny last night. A good show to tape and watch if your prego. So are you going to find out what it is before hand or have the baby be a suprise?

To all the preg ladies will you choose to breast feed your child?

Everyone have a fantastic night and TGIF soon thank goodness.

I LOVE that show  I watched the very first one which was an hour long and it was soooooo funny! Then I watched the 1/2 hour one yesterday. I'm sure it will be my 2nd favorite show (after Grey's Anatomy of course!)

Yes, we want to find out the sex. And yes, I'm going to try to breast feed. At least for the first few months while I'm on maternity leave. After I have to return to work, I'll have to see how it works out.

Questions: :help:

Interview???

2) Do we need to dress nice we are a T-shirt and jeans couple and don't really like dressing up and I hate to wear make up in JA cause it just melts off.

My opinion is YES  It always looks more professional and like you actually made an effort. We didn't dress up too formal - I wore a sundress and sandals and Tony wore dress pants and a polo shirt. "Dress for Success" ;)

Questions: :help:

5) The most important question of all where is the best place to celebrate and get dinner after he is approved?

5. In the bedroom!

Congrats on all the moves!

Nobody has replied to my last post yet

Well, I sent an email to the Kingston Embassy and they told me I only need to submit the I-134, my W2's from 2006, my filed taxes for 2006, and an employer letter.

That seems too easy!

Input?

You will also need the DS-230, DS-156, DS-156k, and DS -157. You'll also need a few weeks worth of check stubs from your job. And of course, the police certificate, medical completed, his long form birth certificate, and non-impediment to marriage form.

I hope this answers your question

No not yet....it's still really soon. You may start feeling tired and if you are "oh so lucky" to have morning aka all day sickness...you will "feel" pregnant...trust me! From then on it really gets rolling. Just relax, get as much rest as possible and enjoy your pregnancy! I enjoyed every minute of each of mine!

Thanks Myisha  So far I'm just really moody and emotional :crying: And I have to make frequent trips to the bathroom  And sore mammaries. Ok, yeah I guess I do have some symptoms

Just because something you say is “negative” doesn’t mean it has to be said b!tchy, condesending, mean, cruel, judgemental, hurtful, offensive, demeaning, degrading, rude, mean-spirited, aggressive, destructive, detrimental, distressing, harmful, malicious, spiteful, hateful, unkind, upsetting, wounding, antagonistic, bad-natured, petty, vengeful, venomous, vicious, insulting, insinuating, wicked or evil.

Plenty of things can be said that are “negative” in a much nicer, helpful, friendly, affirming, life giving way.

Back in the day we all sure as hell didn’t agree on everything and we all didn’t see eye to eye but we were family and best of friends. We had each others back through EVERYTHING. We were out to be helpful and supportive. Lets get back to that.

Very well said Jamie

You do realize that these are two contradictory statements? :innocent:

I didn't mean we couldn't say anything negative. I meant to stop bashing one another :bonk: If you don't like what someone writes, just ignore it and move on. You don't have to tell that person what YOU think of her, or her ideas, or her views, or her decisions. If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all

Go during your maternity leave. We're planning to go going around the middle of Feb (I know baby needs 6 weeks shots and clearance from doc, and a damn passport ) and probably staying until end of March.

That's a really good idea ;) I know Tony is dying to go back. I wonder if he would be willing to wait that long? This August will be a year since we've been there. Plus he wanted to take the kids some new clothes and buy them their back to school things before school starts up. hmmmm..... I'll have to think about that one.

Ok ladies, so here's my dilemma: I already booked part of our next trip to Jamaica. The bad part is that it is for Nov. 3-10 and I will be about 8 months pregnant at that time :o I do NOT think we should be travelling to a foreign country that far along in my pregnancy  With my luck I would go into labor on the airplane :bonk:

What sucks is that I'm not sure when we're gonna go now. We didn't really want to go in the summer because it's actually nice and warm here and it's Tony's busiest time at work. And then Sept. and Oct. are the worst months for hurricane season. :help: We don't want to wait until next year, because Tony wants to see his family and friends. Any suggestions???
