I helped Anthony's father do the paperwork to renew his passport 2 years ago and he drove all over the place trying to get just the right photo. The Picture People are the only ones they would accept, even though I couldn't tell the difference between their's and Sears! Just hit them first - don't waste your time with anyone else.

What are you supposed to do if there isn't one near you? They don't even have locations in Michigan! mad.gif

Thank goodness Tony's passport is still good for a few more years.

It's hard to believe that something that's designed to go inside the body could cause such a bad reaction when placed in a DIFFERENT spot in the body than it was intended for! That is so crazy.

Remember he does not know how to READ and is refusing to learn, but I bet he will now. This morning he went to brush his teeth, called his wife complaining he can't find the tootpaste and where she put it. He gets fustrated and hangs up the phone on her. Goes in the bathroom (Lord please forgive me).....he used her MONISTAT CREAME and brushed his teeth and had a very, very, very bad reaction. The reaction didn't take place until he got to work this morning. He works in the complex he lives in. By the time I got to the hospital and I saw what he looked like and I found out what happened, I could not stop laughing. I mean, I can't even describe what he looks like, but it looked like he was attacked by a 100 bees. Then he gets upset, because his wife and the doctors told him what the creame is used for. So, he's mad at his wife and it's her fault. He's a grown man of 37 years old. He yelling and me and his wife, saying, how you can put something that fi go pon unu P*&$#Y in the bathroom. I asked him where are we suppose to put it. He thought it was travel toothpaste.

All the times I've stayed in JA, I've never stayed at an all inclusive. I've stayed at Fisherman's Point, Silver Seas, and Rooms on the Beach and one other small, crappy little hotel (don't remember the name). We're always bringing Tony's kids, cousins, and nieces back to our hotel with us to swim in the pool, go to the beach, etc... That's why I'm wondering how they treat the locals. We'll probably stay at Rooms for the first 7 days and then a nice A.I. for the last 3 days. Do you know how much a day pass costs? Is it cheaper for kids?

I've never had any problems in Ochi (knock on wood headbonk.gif ). I used to walk up to the store after dark by myself to get water or soda or snacks. A lot of flirting and comments, but no one was rude or anything.

But I am feeling good right now at this point. Are you surviving being back at work? It is good to have you back. Have a wonderful weekend!

We didn't have a middle name picked out for Monique until I was in the delivery room! Tony came up with it - Savannah - and we all loved it.

Does it matter if you owe taxes every year? What exactly is it that they want to see? Alos, is there a certain amount of money you should have in your bank account? I only plan on providing information on one of my bank accounts, but was wondering if I need to provide information on all three. This of course is whenever I get to this point. Just curious....

As long as you meet the poverty guidelines, you'll be fine. You don't have to show them any of your bank accounts or assets if you make enough money. They just need proof of your income - pay stubs and a letter from your bank stating your total deposits. As for your tax returns, it's just more proof that you made enough money.

Hi everyone,

I would like to thank everyone again for welcoming me to this board a month ago when I joined. I haven't been on much due to being extremely busy at work and trying to put together my K1 petition, oh yea and when I'm not doing that, I'm always sleeping smile.gif I'm almost done with the application and I'm planning to send it early next week, just waiting on the G-325A from my SO and I have to take my passport pic.

Anyway, wanted to say congrats to the ladies who got approved! must be a big relief to say the least. I've just caught up with the last few pages and saw the two reports on the embassy experience, now I'm a little worried and was hoping to get some clarification:

1) I was told the fiancee was not required to be with the SO at the interview. I'm thinking if we get lucky enough, and lets say my SO gets an interview when I'm in my third trimester and really pregnant and can't travel to go to the interview with him, will this be held against him? If the interview is some time after I give birth, I def. plan to be there.

2) The G325A form asks for employment history for last 5 years. My SO was attending UWI until this last semester when he was forced to take a leave cause he couldn't afford tuition, when he did work during this time, it was doing odd jobs and not on the books. He just recently was able to get a legit job. Will this be held against him? Should I put that he was a student in that section, or leave it blank?

3)I've gathered pretty much all of the evidence that we have to prove our relationship including pictures, emails, phone records, and travel itineraries. The problem is when I flew there to see him I did not keep the boarding passes wacko.gif I was thinking of copying the stamps on my passport and putting it together with the email confirmations that I received when I booked my airfare online. Is this enough proof of travel? I don't have prove of hotel receipts b/c my SO paid for the hotel when I visited.

4)Finally, how do I put together all that information? in a binder with tabs? scrapbook?

Thanks!

ps: sorry for the long post.

Welcome luv.gif I will try to answer some of your questions. It is not a requirement (yet) to attend the interview with your fiance. However, if at all possible, we recommend that you do attend because YOU are the best proof that he has. It seems that less questions are asked and less hassel when the U.S citizen is present. If you are still pregnant, send proof with your fiance so he can explain why you're not there if they ask (doctors note, ultrasound, etc.)

On the G325 I would put STUDENT - it will not be held against him. It's YOUR employment they're concerned with to make sure you can support him when he comes here.

Definately, copy the passport pages that have the Jamaica entry/exit stamps. Also, did you charge anything on a credit card while there - meals, shopping, etc.?? I included some misc. receipts for more proof that I was indeed in JA during the times I said I was. You might even be able to get a copy of your ticket/receipt from the airline if you feel you need to, but I think the passport stamps will suffice.

A binder with tabs would work to put it all together. I used a 2 hole punch and punched holes at the top of everything and put it all together with a table of contents and colored tabs. I've heard that the more organized you are, the better.

Good luck. Hope this helps.

How did he get his passport stamped? I thought you couldn't do that until 1 year after the GC expired? The NOA letter extends the GC for 1 year after it expires. I thought that if by then, you still haven't gotten the new GC, then you can go get the stamp. I'm confused unsure.gif

Hey Rhonda. How's Tony and Monique doing?

We didn't receive the extension letter until after the card expired.

How did he get his passport stamped? I thought you couldn't do that until 1 year after the GC expired? The NOA letter extends the GC for 1 year after it expires. I thought that if by then, you still haven't gotten the new GC, then you can go get the stamp. I'm confused unsure.gif

Mexico, Latin & South AmericaYardies, at home and a farrin' (Part 4)

Hey Rhonda I'll be in Jamaica during that time! I'll primarily be in Negril, but we'll be in Ochi on the 21st-23rd maybe for a honeymoon. The wedding is the 18th. I'd love to meet up with you!

Neither one of us know much about Ochi, whereabouts will you be?

Awesome  Yeah, we'll have to hook up. We'll be staying at "Rooms on the Beach" (formerly Club Jamaica). It's nice - recently all renovated with all the necessities and literally right on the beach!! It is located right in the heart of Ochi on Turtle Beach. It is just West of Sunset Jamaica Grande. If you're still looking for a hotel, it's a nice little 3 star - it usually goes for $95 a night for an ocean-view w/ balcony but we got it on special for $75 on hotels.com :D

You can also PM me if you want.

Texas, hang in there....you`ve done the right thing by informing the authorities....But be prepared for when he finds out he can`t adjust status, he could well turn up claiming he`s made?a mistake.....Praying for you

I hope he does come back..... so she can chop off his balls as Mindy would say :bonk: :ranting:  I can't get over what a complete ### he has been.

Me and Jonesie are BOTH due at the same time   December 15/16 - I think her's is 15, mine is 16. You can join our "club" any time you want :luv:

Let me know when you'll be in Ochi. That would be awesome if we could meet up  I've only met 1 person from Vj so far and that was 3 years ago now!! And we're still good friends - we see each other every couple of months.

Mindy left the board :crying:  She was tired of all the B.S. that was going on here for awhile with everyone bashing one another :bonk: and being mean. Hopefully we've put a stop to that now - maybe I can lure her back ;)
