Phew! whistling.gif Ok, I found at least one approval from yesterday! makes me happy.... They just havent filled in their timeline yet.
I bet there are more!

I just dont want CSC to slow down again. Power of positive thinking, people! yes.gif

It's funny because John NEVER got on this website when he was back home. I get home from work and I show him and he's excited that our number keeps going down. He's so laid back he never gets excited about anything so it's nice that he's excited about this!

God.... I was just getting happy to see angel and mayham disappear from the top 15 on igors list after putting the wrong date in their timeline over a month ago and now someone else did the same thing!!

Sorry. Im a little cranky. ranting33va.gif

I'm so glad someone else feels the same as I do. It pisses me off to no end when people just can't get this sh*t right. It's pretty simple and if you make a mistake, edit your silly timeline dammit! On the bright side of things, our estimated adjudication date is inching it's way back into the end of Dec./beginning of Jan. For a little while there I was worried it would dip into Feb.

I sent a message to the first people who were showing on that list for a month. I sent it the day after it showed up...apparently they didn't care that it was messing things up! I dont know why people can't just say hey...I'm not approved yet!

August filers at CSC are almost at 50% now!!! All this in 1 week! dancin5hr.gif Let's hope that they continue this faster pace all the way to us September filers! Getting more excited now biggrin.gif

I didnt expect it to move all weekend but it just jumped to 45%. If this keeps up they could start september filers this week!! Getting very excited now!!

Gotta say, I kinda squeaked a little bit when I read this, LOL.

Kizza, wouldn't it be awesome if we got our interviews on the same day? We could go for coffee or something, or dinner the night before. I know a bunch of the November Montreal interviews are doing that. Is your SO coming to the interview with you? (and I so just peeked at your profile and HOLY ####### -- my fiance's name is Matt, too! LOL!)

That is so funny that your fiancé's name is Matt too! A bunch of us from Sept. are marrying Matts I guess! Rosa's man is a Matt too... There is something about them Matthews I guess luv.gif

Yeah, I did not expect to move spots like that on Igors list this weekend! How amazing is that!?! star_smile.gif
It would be great to have our interview on the same day.... dinner the night before sounds good! We could also celebrate with champagne afterwards!! kicking.gif
I don't know if my SO will come for the interview... I really want him to, but I guess we'll have to see with the timing of it. He is coming for the holidays -- very excited about that! (I noticed you'll get to see your SO very soon! lucky!) Im really glad Montreal seems caught right now. Let's hope it goes quickly when it's our turn to interview!

Well John made it ok. He said that was actually the easiest time he has had going through immigration! All that worrying for nothing. Now I get to spend the next 8 weeks with him here. We are going back to England together on Christmas to spend the New Year then. Wooo Hooo I LOVE being with him smile.gif

OK... so my contract is sent in and now I have nothing to do ... so here are some stats:

April 87%
May 90%
June 79%
July 79%
and August 31%

August has gone up 24% in 5 days.

They have processed quite a few in just the past couple days. Not being nasty but I sit here giggling a little bit because the VSC filers are all either freaking out because they haven't got their NOA2 or they are freaking out because they are stalking their file to the appropriate embassy. Here us CSC people sit and we are just happy to see that some are being processed we dont even care what the NOA1 dates are of the approvals as long as they are approving. Looks like VSC may be slowing down a bit. What are the Septembe filers that haven't been approved yet gonna do when they have to wait the normal processing time of 4-5 months when the others around their date have been approved...I think they will go nuts!

I see the 15 latest approvals, then unapproved petitions from november & december 08, then 2009 (last 12 months altogether).
Nov + Dec 08 account for 18 petitions, which is the number of spots I seem to be behind. I cant find a way to change it.... nevermind... its all relative and I am now under 200 even on my list laughing.gif

I had to get up at 6ish and get straight to work and I was actually ectastic to see 7 approvals - 5 of which from August.
August is now approved at 31%!! dancin5hr.gif

Yes... I think we'll be seeing September filers approved within the next few weeks!!

Yeah the weather should hopefully not be too bad by then. Maybe if it snows you guys can suck it up and get some pretty pictures in the snow? HA! We do a family picture for my parents every year for xmas so John will be here this year to partake in that. I'm sure he's just THRILLED smile.gif

I am really hoping that next month does pick up a little for everyone. I know most people are getting antsy and really I am too. I just want to know it's done really. Just want to know he has the visa I dont mind waiting for him to come after that!

Maybe come Thanksgiving we'll have even more to be thankful for!

I filed k1, I-129F, September 18.. they recieved it the 22.

Today, October 22, I recieved confirmation they approved the I-129F

I'll keep everyone updated.

The last 2 folks that posted are with the VSC. This thread is actually for people who have filed with the CSC. You may want to post your info on the thread specifically for the VSC filers smile.gif We are super happy you got your NOA2 but for us at the CSC we aren't being approved at the same rate you folks at the VSC are. Isn't CSC going slower because they are focusing on the I-130's and other visas perhaps? My friend filed for his (I-130..AOS) and got it in less than 2 months recently. Wish CSC would switch focus to the K1's now. I'm getting restless watching the VSC people who filed in September getting NOA2s sad.gif sigh...do we really have to wait 2 more months? sleepy.gif

Sure seems like they are taking care of other things. unsure.gif what crappy timing we have! I hope they start focusing on K1s again very soon.

To be honest even if it happens by December time that's still far less than what I had anticipated when we started thinking about this process. When my ex husband and I had to file for an AOS back in 03 it took about 18 months to get your interview for the green card! Now when I read on here people get in for that interview 6-8 months. Back then the fees were a lot less and I think even more people applied because of that. When the fees went up less people can afford to do it I suppose.

The lesson here...Keep your chin up....it took a lot longer years ago so we are actually fortunate that it's only taking 6-8 months!

When we started this process the VSC was about 2 wks behind in processing time....now they are nearly a week ahead. The thing is as you brought up in an earlier post, There are so man filers at VSC from back in May, June, July...that haven't been processed. They are going to HAVE to process those application that have been left by the wasteside at some point and maybe then we'll see the CSC inch forward again.

I know... it's frigging disheartening. I really wish CSC would keep a steady pace. blink.gif

I recomfort myself by thinking that at least, CSC seems to work on its backlog more than VSC, because as much as I would like to be approved very very soon, I would really hate to be skipped in the process, and still be waiting in January while people from October or November are being approved. I feel so bad for people from June or earlier watching couples from September being approved while they are still waiting. That would suck. Seeing people get approved in 20 days is fantastic... but I imagine not so much for people who have already been waiting 5 or 6 months!! huh.gif

Seriously. How pissed would you be if you were a May/June filer and a person who filed 3 wks ago is approved and you are sitting on Shirleys desk while she drops jelly from her donught on the file? I would be spazzing out completely. I'm not really too worried. I don't really want to be approved any earlier than what my timeline says here. Mid December is PLENTY early for us since we are trying to plan things around my parents garden being in bloom smile.gif I guess it's just something to see where all of us are pins and needles waiting and even though I really don't need it done any earlier due to our plans something in me says just get it done so I know at least one part is out of the way. More just to set myself at ease and stop thinking about it.

I feel for the folks who have to go through Montreal. I keep reading all these things that say they are so far behind and that the wait just to have the interview is 6 months...that's CRAZY! Don't you wonder what the heck takes so long?

This really doesn't have anything to do with the K1 process but I want to share anyhow. I just made my first purchase towards our wedding...well beyond my dress smile.gif I'm so excited to be making plans. I just can't wait for John to get here so we can start our life! Here's to the future! Good luck everyone!

What did you get, what did you get??
I know what you mean!! Im the one who will be moving to be with Matt, but I just cant wait.

More approvals today btw!! kicking.gif

I got my dress a long time ago because I found it and thought it was perfect for the garden wedding we are going to have. But I bought turqois paper lanterns to hang in the tent we will have our reception in. Another friend of mine is getting married in Feb and she hasn't bought anything yet. I think she's annoyed that I've started HA! Oh well I'm excited about our future and I'm ready to get started so if this is what I need to do to pacify my time until John gets here so be it!

That sounds pretty!! I love turquoise.
I totally agree about pacifying yourself with the planning! When is your wedding? I would do the same if the wedding was in my home town.
I was starting to plan for our wedding too (with the same reasoning as you - to give me something fun to look forward to), but my fiance's brother started getting too involved and discouraged me!! he was taking over my plans LOL

We are shooting for June 5th. Since we are having it in my parents garden the only thing that we really HAVE to reserve in advance is the tent, chairs, and tables and if I have to change the date I won't loose out on the deposit for that stuff since I will be using it eventually smile.gif

How did your fiances brother take over? Is he gay? HA! Not that there's anthing wrong! Take charge. My mom can be a little crazy like that sometimes but she knows what she says an opinion and not a decision so all in all I think it's going ok.

Its not much, but the way things were going, I was starting to think we'd get adjudicated in May next year or something!

have a good weekend!

I think CSC approved 14 yesterday. I am keeping the faith. I love when my date changes on my timeline...makes me SO happy. I know it's not for sure but it's nice to think about it being approved on this side before the end of the year!

Well, now. Last night I was going over the packet copies just to calm my nerves and notice that my lovely fiance did not fill out the G-325A form completely (entered his parents country of residence but not the city). I caught and fixed something like three other mistakes before sending off the packet but I missed this one. Arrrrggghhhhh!!!! So, I went wandering around the USCIS site to find a copy of the memo stating that the beneficiary does not need to sign the G-325A form submitted with the petition (he will sign it at the consulate interview), printed a copy, fixed the G-325A form, printed that out and now I'm all set for the inevitable RFE. I'm so frustrated that this is going to cost time.

On the good news side, the packet was delivered this morning at 10:17 and signed for by V. Semegi.

Well at least the process has started for all of us. I can say to myself well everyday that passes is just a day closer to us being able to be together and the wait will be worth it in the end. I'm sure by the end of all this we'll be our own little therapy group smile.gif

I just checked Igors List and about 13 VSC cases got approved just yesterday, whereas CSC seems to approve a couple of cases every 2-3 days!
what the .... is going on??? mad.gif
Looks like 2 thirds of July K1s are approved in VSC, and a bunch from August.
Dont get me wrong... Im happy for people getting approved so quickly but I wish there would be some movement at CSC.

Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

I was sitting here thinking the same thing. Waiting isn't any fun and all and I'm such an impatient person anyway so it just adds to the stress of it all. I'm thinking positive and really hoping it only takes 3-4 months. I'm going to England on Christmas and it would be FANTASTIC to have the NOA2 by then. I'm ready to start our life together already!

This is actually my second time around for an immigration process. I think everyone is fully aware of how long it takes but as it's been said we are human and we do miss our loved ones. I've learned not to complain because it doesnt do any good anyhow :) The reality of it is we are ALL waiting and just because you filed before someone else doesn't mean you can't be frustrated with the process. We are at the mercy of other people and that is a fact. It was suggested by many people in previous posts that you find something to do besides think about immigration. It will drive you crazy and lets face it piss you off because that's all you have on your mind. I miss my husband, do I want him here of course but at the end of the day we know that this wait is going to be well worth it. Don't get all high and mighty on someone because they haven't waited as long as you. It still hurts being apartm 1 day...1 wk....1 yr. The people who have been waiting 9-12 months might think you 6 monthers are a bunch of babies for crying about being a month past your date. So try keeping it in perspective.

Well..my first day here I already had been questioned by PMO.. which would have caused trouble for both Kenyth and I ..but the PMO knew Kenyth and was very nice about it. I broke two rules the first morning here and I had to pull Kenyth out of work because PMO wanted to talk to him...

I don't know any of the rules.. so it makes it even harder. I am getting a course for Family Readiness..or something. It's for civilians living on base...getting to know the terms and rules. I guess it's hard to get use to and settle in right now because we won't get our house until after the wedding.

I don't think I'll mind it too much after I get settled and know the rules... but I guess it is mostly the thought of guns, ID checks, breaking rules I don't know exist..and the fact that Kenyth ends up getting chewed out for it if I do. I also have to be careful, because of the ranks..and what I do.. its just different.. but I do like it.. I think it just feels harder right now because I did just arrive, and on top of the emotions of leaving home and the stress of moving, visa, and wedding... it just makes a not perfect day seem so much worse.

Thanks for the information though, I am going to look up more for wives of the enlisted.. anything to help.

Thank ranks will come with time...to be honest unless Kenyth is with you...ranks shouldn't have any bearing on you whatsoever. You would be respectful to anyone...pfc or Lt Crnl. When they play the national anthem everyday...stop what you are doing and stand like you are doing the pledge...dont know the words just stand with your right hand over your heart...that will suffice lol. Make sure you always have your id with ya...you'll need it for just about everything. Make sure you know Kenyths ss# if you don't already that's also something that will be asked of you about 8 million times. You'll adjust quickly...because you'll have to lol

Kayla I am happy for you!!.. Krystle.. I hope the second appointment brings good news..

I saw something about an AOS case being expedited but no one said who or how they did it.. I didn't really have a chance yet to search too much further :(

POE was pretty easy, I was nervous of course.. got my picture, fingersprints, and paid.. they gave me back my list of items I was taking ..and I don't know how much of a search he did, i think he just glanced.. they let me go through with my cat food bag too which was open, i was surprised.

So far.. it feels weird honestly.. almost like I'm on vacation but knowing I'm staying and my family will be leaving soon... base life is.. interesting... and I didn't have a great go at it today...

i dont know.. its great..but im surprised how different it feels.

In what seems like a previous life I was a wife of a military member. We lived overseas and stateside. I think that living overseas created a close knit group of people because NOBODY has any family. There is something called Enlisted Wives Club. It's a good way to meet other women who are in the same situation you are. If you can find something like that...I think it will help you. I did think that living stateside was a bit more difficult for meeting people. I actually turned to finding a job to make friends in the area. Stateside because everywhere you go there is going to be something familiar to the people living there you may find it a wee bit harder to kind of break into a circle of friends. You've only be there a 2 days though so make sure you give it PLENTY of time before thinking ####### lol. You may very well still think that but as time goes on you'll get used to showing your i.d. everytime you want to go somewhere. Having a spouse in the military wasn't as hard as I thought it would be and I really did grow to love the military life. Good luck to you!

Canada requires that you bring the financial documents with you whenever you go to interview. I guess they want to actually SEE you sweat bullets.

I'm doing the last minute scramble because I wont be back here before I leave. I'm going straight to my uncles house in lexington.

I would be very cautious of just supplying paystubs. On the I-134 it doesn't list paystubs as evidence. I think people bring them along (I did) more for back up. The information listed as supporting evidence are Statement from the officer at the Bank, Statement from your Employer, or if Self Employed previous Tax returns. I would really really try to find that letter from her employer!

I'm about to lose it  I've been online at delta's website trying to call them and NONE of the gazillion numbers that they have listed work.
ALL the numbers are busy. So I google it and came up on the website that has a ton of complaints that delta posts the wrong customer service number on their site, that they charge a arm and a leg to change a flight and basically that their service sucks. So afeter I found a working number I called and waited 45 minutes just to hear the rep tell me that there's a $150 CHANGE FLIGHT FEE PLUS THE DIFFERNCE IN FARE! :crying:  :crying:
Now I'm really freaking worried. That's why I gotta love Jetblue!

I've always flown on delta to the UK/Ireland and I've never had any problem with the service. I do know that their change fee is pretty high but keep calm. I'm sure he'll get what he needs in order to get here on friday!

YES! That's why they are going out like that. It drives me crazy.. and I still think part of the reason they did this is so we would have to buy MORE of them. Not all states are doing this yet.. but if yours are fire safe it will have FSC above the barcode on the package.

If there's a way to get them without the FSC then I want to know WHERE. Maggie, I have never tried to roll my own and would probably screw it up somehow. But.. if you roll your own do they have a filter? I tried non-filtered once and just can't smoke those.

Missouri still has the regular ones...My boss drives the 40 miles down there because she HATES the FS ones now. So if you ever get to Kansas City you could pick up a few cartons LOL

LOL That's some Martha Stewart S%^T there! It's a great idea but I'm not too much of a Betty Crocker to be doing up some homemade pies for people smile.gif

I'm going to Wise, VA. I live so close to the Virginia border that I can be there quicker than I can be in Pikeville(KY), which is where I work. I was actually born in Virginia because it was the closest hospital, LOL.

I'm sure that I'm not what Mathew's parents had planned for him, but so far they love me like a daughter. They really disliked the girl that broke us up the first time, apparently, although they don't know the gory details of our past. Back then I think they just thought we were friends though. Can't blame them. But I know his mommy worries about him not finding a job down here, and so does his dad. But they want what makes him happy, and if that's me then they are all for it. The only thing that bothers me(and I'm trying to correct it) is that I don't speak french other than a few sentences so I never know what they are saying. It's hard for us to talk since their knowledge of English is kind of limited, but we still try.

Our family problem is MY mother. And not because she doesn't like him or doesn't want me to be with him. It's because I'm her only daughter and she's not ready to let go. I can forsee her trying to cause us problems in the end just because I know what she's capable of. So I've told him that unless he wants it to blow up in his face, he better only say nice things about me to her. She'll make it 10 times worse when she tells it back to me. She really loves Mathew dearly, she just doesn't know how to handle me growing up and leaving the nest.

I'll go ahead and tell you not to even consult him about wedding planning. Mathew and I fight SO MUCH because his excuse for not helping is that he doesn't know anything about weddings. We'd probably be in a better place if I didn't want him to help me. I gave him a website last night to look at, groomgroove.com and he seems to be reading it, but I swear I felt like pulling my hair out a lot of times since this whole mess started.

I laughed when I read that about him not knowing anything about weddings. John said that basically I can do what I want because it's really a woman thing to have all the fuss. He said he just wants to be married so whatever I want to do is ok with him. I still run all the ideas past him even though I know it doesn't really matter. I guess I figure that way if he doesn't like something on the day I can say "well buddy I told ya that's what I was doing!" He's so laid back about everything I can't imagine him not liking whatever it is I come up with.

I'm sitting here at work thinking 2 days from now he'll be on a plane on his way here. I CAN'T WAIT!!!! My mom called yesterday asking if she should get him some Guinness. I told her he's having a long journey so he'll probably need a drink by then! Funny enough she doesn't make sure she has what I want in the house when I come home??? I think i'm going to write a complaint letter! smile.gif Although I suppose he's bringing her shortbread and bringing the kids some sweets so that's why she has his Guinness!

Well I hope those who aren't on VJ are having better luck than us!!! I'm not even going to try the whole system that was figured out before for checking statuses of peoples cases. I know I'd get way too addicted!

I want to see an NOA2 today, I don't care what month it's from. I just want to know that VSC isn't slowing down!

I'm with you on that one. BUT I can't express anymore how much I'm tired of checking! Gosh it's annoying!!

I guess that's a plus to being with the CSC we KNOW we aren't going to possibly get approved so we dont bother to keep checking smile.gif I figure if I get it by mid january I'm happy! I like getting on VJ and reading everyones info, experiences, excitement, frustrations and right now that's enough to tide me over!

HA! I actually laughed outloud at my desk when I read that. Lets hope that's the case. We are all sitting here dying for something good to happen. Basically if ONE person has some luck with this September group I think we'll all be so excited that it's moving along.

Lets cross our fingers!

We submitted our paperwork on September 16th. I'm so glad the process has started. We are both hoping the time passes quickly and are really looking forward to finally being able to start our life together. Good luck to everyone. I know we are all in the same boat and I think this site is going to be a fantastic support system during the UPs and the DOWNs. biggrin.gif

Thanks for the info guys. I know the original forms must be sent in and I was 99.9% certain I could send the copies for now but felt like I should double check just to be on the safe side.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresCopies??
When filing the initial packet am I supposed to put a copy of the certified marriage certificate or just make a copy of that. I was under the impression we would send the original at a later date but just want to make sure as I'm putting the finishing touches on this today....hopefully tomorrow I will be actually sending it.
