Well, Matt got Packet 3 in the mail today, and a bunch of people just got March Interviews, so it would seem that Montreal's backlog is working itself out. If how I worked things out in my mind based on other timelines, we're right on track for an April/May/June interview. We're certainly hoping it'll be after May 15th, though. :)

Grats to everyone else who's past NOA2 stage, and also hoping to see some more NOA2s. Sucks that they're working on stuff after September now, but hopefully they'll come back to you all soon! I can't see why they wouldn't. :/

Hey Frenzy,
I am just curious, if I read your timeline correct you plan to get married on Oct. 10th, but at the rate your process is going you should have your visa in the next few months. Are you planning to delay the process or just not activate your K1 until the last minute at 6months? Just curious :)

Montreal is a bit backlogged, so we might not end up getting an interview until April or beyond, so in a way, it kind of works out. Ideally, I'd like to have our interview after May 14th. If things worked the way we'd like them to, I would travel up to Canada in May, we'd have it the interview in June or July, and then he would POE in August when he brought me home (at the end of the month, of course) and then we'd get married Oct. 10th. :) I'm crossing my fingers that it happens like this, but I'm also not holding my breath. If we get an interview date earlier/later than that, we'll improvise! :)

If I'm understanding your question right, most of the time (and I'm not sure about your specific embassy) the fee is paid during your interview. Again, I dont know if this is the same for every embassy.

I'm actually surprised with myself. I have not called NVC once, and I really don't have any intentions to. I know how to check their shipping out, and the last few shipments have had papers going to Montreal, so I'm content with that. :) I also know I have another 3-6 month wait for the whole interview process, but this is the final stretch; I'm happy with the pace right now. :) I'm so looking forward to May, though, because that's when I get to see him again, and what's comforting about it is that I know that I will not have to sat goodbye to him again at the end of this trip!!! :D

I hope you all had a wonderful New Years, and I wish you all speedy processing times!!

The photographer we have is the one that did our engagement shoot a few weeks ago. He's amazing, and he's cheap, and since we have all these extra fees added into the whole process, the cheaper, the better, lol. July is muggy, but then again, October can be too. To be honest, though? I wouldn't care if it was subzero or hotter than the surface of the sun... I just want to be married to him. sad.gif

I hear ya. We had this huge snowstorm like a week after classes started last January. So I went to Merle Hay this morning I had 2 stores to go to....Target and Old Navy...what a nightmare! I stood in line at Target for nearly 20 min for my ONE item! I never shop on Black Friday...that was a good reminder as to why I dont!



Wow. I'm glad I didn't have to go out in it. I didn't know if Old Navy was doing anything big or not. Did you at least get anything good out of it? biggrin.gif


Well I bought a 6 piece luggage set for 34 bucks which I thought was pretty good. It's not samsonite or anything but I figured for $34 might as well get it! Old navy had fleece sweatshirt things on sale for 5 bucks. So I got one for each of the kids and one for each of my parents. I didn't have a huge list of things to get I just knew THAT stuff I wanted. It took me longer standing in line to pay than to actually get the stuff I needed. I think my daughter wants to go shopping tonight sad.gif maybe by then all the hard core shoppers will be napping and we'll be able to go in and enjoy it. Doubtful but here's to dreamin!!


Awww, I need to get out to Old Navy. My old fleece won't make it through another winter, lol. As for the crowds now? It wasn't too bad when I went out... but then again, I did only go to PetSmart on the south side. However, nothing really looked too crowded (like Best Buy and all that...) so you might get lucky!

I'll stay with him in Burlington (Ontario) because that's where he lives. smile.gif What'll happen is I will fly up to Toronto a few days before the interview and stay with him until the day before, then we'll drive from Burlington to Montreal for his interview, and then we'll go back to Burlington and I'll stay a few more days, then I'll fly home again. biggrin.gif

I arrived at NIA at 10:30 at night. Got my luggage and found my way down the ramp to the waiting area by midnight. My fiancee and her cousin were waiting for me there amongst what seemed like a hundred other filipinos as well as armed police and military personnel. They had a taxi waiting for us who took us to the Heritage; a very nice hotel. If they arrange the taxi and are with you, you'll have no problems.
