I say you will see your NOA2 in 5-6 weeks. Thats just my best guess. :)

I'd say don't get your hopes too high for less than 8-10 weeks.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresTouched

dumb question here, but...

how do you know your file has been touched - is this something you can check online? You get the log-in info with your NOA1?

oh, and I hope you get the NOA2 soon!!

Yes. Go to uscis.gov and on the right under "Hot Topics", click "Check Status", then click "Register" on the left. They change the date on it every time they "touch it" or do something with it.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresTouched
I finally got logged into uscis.gov today after it seemed they were partially down for a while. I see they touched me again - for the 3rd time! I'm not complaining because being touched feels good, but I'd rather they stop groping and pawing at me and cut loose with our NOA2 so we can move on.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresAffidavit

Since your fiancee is the one marrying you and supposedly supporting you, she´s the one that will be filing the affidavit. You can get a co-sponsor if she doesn´t meet the requirement but it´s advisable that this co-sponsor is someone close to your fiancee, since they´re co-sponsoring her, and not you.

The fact is that my fiancée has been doing a professionnal training since last year. She's been working monly part time and therefore doesn't meet the minimum requirement. I wonder if it will do any good that she files the affidavit. This why I asked friend of ours to file it.

Even if she doesn't meet the requirement should she file an affidavit too?

Yes. Your fiancee will need to fill out the affidavit of support even if she does not meet minimum financial requirements. Then she will also need a co-sponsor. The co-sponsor can be anyone willing and able to provide the necessary financial support.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresAffidavit

Is it a problem if the affidavit of support come from someone else than my fiancée?

I mean a friend of mine living in the US?

I believe the actual affidavit of support must come from your fiancee whether or not they meet the required financial guidelines. If not, a co-sponsor will fill out identical forms stating their financial statistics and their intent to provide support if necessary.

In an earlier post I mentioned having been touched...again. Thinking after touching me 3 times they are finally gonna give me a "little action", I checked my email every 15 minutes. At 5:00 pm I about gave up thinking they close at 5:00. Still I checked again at 6:00 pm before leaving work. Still nothing. Go home. Boot up the pc. Check my mail and..........

Hey all,

I do not meet the 125% poverty line for the year 2003-2004, and i DO MEET the requirement for the year 2005, Is that going to cause a problem? If i get the Co-sponsor my dad and he does not meet the requirement for the 125% poverty line, and mom did not work.. Can i get my friend to co-sponsor? My friend owns a business, so what kind of tax paprer does he need if he co-sponsor? If they can co-sponsor , do they need to sponsor ME or my Fiance?

Anyone can be a co-sponsor providing they meet the income guidelines. They will be sponsoring the beneficiary.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresOk, Nervous about one question

I know this probably just me being overly critical in looking back over everything that I already sent in, BUT......

on the question 18 of 129F I did not put down anything about how we first met, just the details on when we met in person. This is still ok right? My brain is my own worst enemy.

You will be fine.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresfIANCES MINOR CHILD

Hello all,
Can someone who knows tell me if I need to file a seperate I-129f for my fiances minor child , who's birth certificate states that the father is unknown.

Thanks for your replies

No separate I-129F is required for the minor child. Your fiancee will list the child on the forms you submit with the I-129F petition and that automatically makes the child eligible for the K-2 visa to accompany your fiancee when visa is granted. She may need a form from someone/someplace(I'm still not sure who/where) that states she is the sole parent of the child. She won't need that until her interview is scheduled.
Welcome to VJ and good luck with your journey. B)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresMy Fiancee's Kids
I believe any children listed on the I-129F have one year from when the visa is issued, to travel under the k-2 visa to usa. I am not sure what steps need to be taken if it exceeds that time. I've never heard of the number of children being a factor in determining is a visa is to be issued.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresongoing relationship proof requirement?

In the guide section on THIS site for I-129F is calls for:

"Documentary Proof of Having Met in Person in the Past Two Years and an Ongoing Relationship"

Going thru the I-129 instructions I see no requirement for proving an "ongoing relationship" just have to prove that we met in person. Am I missing something?

Thanks, Dave

No, you have it right. For the I-129F, all you need is evidence you met in person within the past 2 years. However, when your fiancee goes for her interview, she will need to provide evidence of the ongoping relationship ie; phone bills, chats, letters, etc.

Doesn't need to be notorized but does need to be on bank letterhead paper.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresQuestion 14 on I-129F
If it would make you feel better putting an address, use your current address, but add on a separate sheet that you intend to find a new place together once he is here. It's not uncommon for people to move between the time the I-129F is submitted and the time the wedding takes place.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI need advice pls????

i have my interview at Manila Embassy on June 16.. My problem is my son wont go with me to the US...do i need to put him on the Affidavit of Support??? I need your advice pls...

If your son was included in the I-129F, he has one year to join you from the date your visa is approved. Since your interview is already scheduled, it is safe to presume your fiance earns enough to meet income guidelines to support both you and your son and has included such information and proof in the I-134 the consul already has. You don't mention how old your son is. The older they are, the more they will resent being forced into doing something they don't like. Perhaps he would like to come visit for a few months or year to see.

It's funny because John NEVER got on this website when he was back home. I get home from work and I show him and he's excited that our number keeps going down. He's so laid back he never gets excited about anything so it's nice that he's excited about this!
