Yes, just to be on the safe side. I copied every single page and then indicated which pages they could find the entry and exit stamps on for each visit.

This has really been an extremely frustrating process for me, as I'm sure it is for you. The RFE will tell you exactly what you need to send and you will have about 90 days before it is due. I know telling you to "breathe" or to "relax" doesn't do any good. At least it doesn't do any good when people tell me that.

just know that it all will get sorted out. The only unknown is when.

I had sent them an incorrect copy of my divorce decree. The copy I sent wasn't signed by the judge or stamped by the court. I had the certified copy that they needed, so it was a quick turnaround.

I've found that with most people, the RFE is usually a quick fix. Sending in a copy of the entire passport or boarding passes to prove that they met within two years, or needing to write N/A on a question that they left blank, or sending in letters of intent to marry.

If you've met within the past 2 years, and are free to marry, and state that you intenf to marry, then the RFE shouldn't be anything to worry about. It adds a few weeks to the process, but that isn't a considerable amount of time. Just think about it this way, they are telling you exactly what you need for them to approve your petition.

All I can say is we don't know each others challenges in life let's be sensitive of that. You never know another person's story and why they may be out of work. Also if the petitioner is a public charge why would a able body beneficiary be? Maybe that beneficiary will work, and is a man who knows how to provide for his family. I know we have all heard of homemakers.

I'm sorry that you don't find the truth to be sensitive enough. I've seen several people in this forum lately that are facing denials because they did not meet the requirement of being in each others company within two years prior to filing. I didn't want you to be the next one.

I wasn't judging your current position, but asking a legitimate question. If you can't take care of yourself without government assistance, how can you care for another?

And please take note that it is considered a high fraud country for a reason. Putting your faith aside, this process has rules and guidelines that must be followed.

Hi fayez. If I were you my RFE package would contain the following:

Proof of meeting in two years:
- Full copy of all pages of your passport, pointing out the entry and exit stamps for your trip to Yemen.
- boarding passes or flight itinerary, if you still have it
- 5 to 10 pictures of you and your fiancé, a few that include family members. On the back of each photo write the names of the people in it, the date, and the location

Also include:
- the witness statements they asked for in your RFE
- a statement from yourself that explains the timeline of meeting your fiancé and divorcing your ex. Yes, you were married when you met. But you were divorced by the time you filed your petition, and that is all that matters.

Fayez, I think that if they required witnesses or for the affidavit to be notarized, then they would have said that. In my opinion, they are asking for contact information for the people writing the affidavits in case they need to verify anything.
I would not worry about witnesses or notaries.

For all those who got notice of transferred fiancé visa

When you check igors list.. It looks like there are current fiancé visas being processed in Texas .... So maybe this is where our cases are being sent?????

From what I understand I-129F cases have not been processed in Texas Service Center for a few years. The cases that show up on Igor's list are usually because someone thinks that since they mailed their I-129F petition to Texas, then their case is at the Texas Service Center. It's a common misunderstanding

Not much family support

So I'm kind of in the same boat. My mother is not only unsupportive, she does not approve of me marrying my fiancé. The rest of my family understands that I'm an adult, and I am free to make whichever choice I want in my life. They are happy that I am happy.

I've discussed this with my fiancé, and we don't see any reason to not be honest in the interview. If they ask him how my family feels about our engagement, he will tell them what I have said above.

The way I see it, there is no perfect person or perfect situation. Not everyone is going to agree with the choices we make, but they are OUR choices to make. Whether or not my family is supportive should have no bearing on the outcome of this visa journey. We are adults We are in love. I'm planning my life with the man I choose. And we will not hide the truth during this immigration process just because the truth may not look pretty.

I-129F How we met: comments?

You could fit all of this in the provided space on the I-129F without an additional sheet like so:

Date - Date - Place: Initially met through mutual friends while I was vacationing with my cousin.

Date - Date - Place: Name visited me in the USA

This is the format I used, and the petition was approved without issue.

They want to see HOW you met (through mutual friends) and WHEN you have seen eachother in person within the past two years. Nothing more is needed.

It doesn't make sense that on the petition you will state that he/she will visit you and you will file the petition.

The wording at the top is just to let you know that if you submit something in a foreign language then it must be translated.

They are asking you for the following 3 things:
1) intent to marry statements from both the petitioner and beneficiary
2) a statement of how you met (online, through friends, chance encounter while vacationing, however you came to know each other)
3) proof of meeting with the 2 years prior to filing (boarding passes, passport stamps, etc)

Frontloading Your I-129F/K-1 Petition. Opinions/experiences?

My fiance is Moroccan and was going through the Casablanca embassy. I did not front-load my I-129F petition initially. I provided all of the required documents, about 5 pics of us together, flight iteneraries, and a copy of my passport stamps. I received an RFE for my divorce decree. By the time I had received the RFE, I had read multiple times that the Casablanca embassy rarely looks at the evidence brought to interview and that they seem to have made a decision before the beneficiary is even questioned. So when I returned the divorce decree, I took the opportunity to front-loaded the petition. I simply stated on the cover letter "Please add the enclosed relationship evidence into my file"

In this way I was able to sneak in one or two photo collages (each containing 8-10 photos) of each of our trips together (even the trips we took after we filed the petition), along with boarding passes, hotel receipts and receipts of attractions we had visited accompanied by a photo of us at these attractions. I focused only on our face time. No emails, chats, skypes, cards, letters, or anything like that. My fiance complied all of those to bring along with him to the interview. When my fiance went to the interview, he watched the CO look through the file for about 20 minutes before calling him up. His interview lasted only 5 minutes, and the CO did not ask for any of the evidence he brought with him. I will never know if the additional front-loading helped sway the CO in our favor. But I know for sure that it didn't hurt our case.

For an I-129F, there is no opportunity to send additional evidence in at the NVC stage. I have been reading this website for about 9 months, and I have not yet seen of a case where someone mailed additional evidence to the Consulate prior to the interview.

Thank you for explaining that a lot clearer, unfortunately the US does have a way of overcomplicating things & using tons of acronyms (I work for GE so I am well aware of this) :yes:

So I guess now I will have to get the lovely lady in question to start her side along with me getting in touch with NZ about police certs ( I wonder if my previous traffic conviction from NZ will show? 1997). Will I be able to approach the Met Police for the cert or does it have to be through your borough?

At the moment we are working as hard as we can to get a base amount of money in a joint account in the US for this reason (& the famed wedding as well) so I wonder if an original statement of that will help? I also have a number of GE shares due to me if I leave.

Thank you for the tips on where to look and what to look at, just waiting now for the packet to arrive & to really kick this thing off. Any idea on average processing time for the complete visa?

Hi All

I am the lucky guy who is getting sponsored by his fiance to move to the US. We sent in the I-129F approx 17th of Feb, received NOA1 on 30 March. Our application was just approved on 15th June. So now we wait for the next part.

Now for the questions =)

I have seen posts regarding how much it costs, is it true you have to have $5k in your bank at the interview? Is this in my account or my fiance's?

What does the Police Certificate actually mean? Also I have not been at my current address very long, only this year, will that matter?

How long does the process take once the NOA2 is sent out? We have seen on the letter it is 2-4 weeks for the new case number then the interview times/dates?? Very confusing this process.

How flexible is the Embassy with the interview process? Reason is in my current job I am constantly travelling for work & I need to be working for the money.

The last & biggest question is, I am from New Zealand, however I have been in the UK for 6 years now. Will this affet our application? Esp as I have had a typical London life with moving flats every year.

I've been to visit Tony several times in the last year for different lengths of stay. It all depends on your IO. I wouldn't lie, only because it can trip you up. I've had an easier entry when it's been a holiday as it's more of a legitimate reason for travel.
You'll be just fine, answer promptly without giving away your life story and have your paperwork ready.
