Russia, Ukraine and BelarusGetting her out of vacation mode
I've only been casually reading this thread, but I think some people are misinterpreting sarcasm. Or my sarcasm detector is on the fritz again.

Russia, Ukraine and BelarusAdministrative Review at Embassy!!
Katya's best friend from Vladivostok had her interview this week, and had the exact same thing occur to her. They kept her VISA and said 'administrative processing' as well. She was planning on flying back to Vladivostok after her interview anyway; but this put a damper on her return visit. They took her passport as well; so I hope for both your sake and hers, that they grant the VISA and grant both VISAs soon.

However, this news has made both Katya and my mom freak out. They are now worried that this may happen to Katya. I am not worried about it, because we have no control over what games the Moscow Consulate may or my not want to play.

United KingdomBritish Airways Strike!
I just read an article that said DO NOT CANCEL on your own before BA cancels the flight. If you do, you will lose the money, but if BA cancels (which they will have to unless this strike doesnt happen), then all money will have to be refunded. The strike could always get cancelled. Sit tight and good luck!

United KingdomBritish Airways Strike!
I really hope you make it for Christmas!!! I always fly BA, but luckily now, the flight was way too expensive and I am flying Air Canada. Sending good thoughts for you to make it or at least get a refund!
