K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresTattoo Evidence?
Me and my wife doesn't have any tattoos of each other names on us, and we've been through this process fine, And I forbid myself from ever tattooed someone else faces or names on my body, In fact I have 0 tattoo.

I have a friend that got grilled big time at his K1 visa interview, his fiancee has his face tattooed on her lower back. didn't help any at the interview.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresCancelling K1 after NOA 2

I did not mean it in the wrong way. Maybe they need to cancel for some unknown reason. What I meant to say is that maybe they are not breaking up and they will re-apply later or maybe they want to get married etc. Many of you sound as if they are breaking up.

We can not assuming anything until the OP gives more information. The op did not ask to hear "Sorry to hear that". The OP asked for an advice.

I agree with you, sorry to hear that is off topic, the OP didn't ask for emotional support.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresCancelling K1 after NOA 2

We need to cancel our K-1 Visa. Our Noa 2 arrived last week, i havent gotten package 3 yet.

How do i cancel this petition

The petitioner has to write a cancellation letter to NVC and one to the US Consulate of the Beneficiary's home country, the letter should be notarized.

You can tell by looking at the Last update date on your portfolio, and sometimes it can take quite a while to get a touch, the online system isn't very reliable.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresphotos as evidence of meeting....
Harpa Timsah is correct, photos aren't primary evidence of meeting in the last 2 years, you should present the CO with Itinerary/boarding passes, passport stamps, receipts with both names on it, etc....

Remember, they can ruled the photos as forgeries or staged, it happened to my friend at her interview. They told her all her pictures were staged. They even went on her facebook page.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresneed to resubmit documents in color for fiance petition?
Sometime USCIS may ask for color copies, if they suspect something might be fishy about the black and white copies, they can even ask the applicant to resubmit with the original documents. Its very rare for them to ask for original but it happened before.

The biggest red flag you need to consider is, is it normal for a Muslim male to marry a non-Muslim female in my country, are you willing to ditch Muslim faith and become a Christian like your wife or is your wife willing to be a Muslim like her husband.

ugh...just seems like the US government is trying to take advantage. I knew about the 1000USD when she gets back here. But not this. Sometimes I wonder if I should just go there. I can go there with 200USD plus marriage license, so much easier.

Thanks all for your help!

The CO that performs the interview and people that does the paperwork and background checks has to make a living to, this is where all the fees are going, I understand the process is expensive but the person that does the job has to be rewarded don't you think.

Actually Child Support isn't her income anymore than Social Security Benefit Payments for the children would be. The Child Support is quite specifically for the children and you can't use income from someone under 18 on the I-864.

That's correct, child support is not and should not be reported as Income, neither party can deduct child support in their Income tax return.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresRenewed "Intent to Marry Letter" be in typerwritten or in handwriting?

Hello Everyone,

I am on the process of preparing documents before time comes of interview. Does an "Intent to Marry Letter" be done in typewritten or in handwriting? What is acceptable by the USEM?

Please :help:

Both are acceptable, make sure it is clear to read and understand your handwriting. I strongly recommend Typewritten its easier and there is a sample in the guide K1 section.

I agree with Tracy, you need to remove your personal info from this letter or ask a Mods to delete it all together, its not wise to attach such letter with all your personal information online, and if I was you I would consult with an experienced Immigration Attorney from the US. Your case seems very complex right now.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresk1_129f denied

This is worry some. I didn't realize you could be denied for only visiting your fiance only once. It's not that easy to visit your fiance if they live on the other side of the world. How common is this requirement? Does it vary from IO to IO? Do people usually visit multiple times? Have people who visited only once generally get denied?

Like Jim stated above. It depends on the country, for example in Haiti or the Dominican Republic its highly recommended to make at least 3 trips before filling for I-129F, Dom Republic Consulate is notorious for denying k1 visas, that's where my friend had her interview. They got grilled big time she told me.

Its seems to me that the OP applied for I-129F, and they were denied due to the IO believing its for immigration purpose and she said she only went one time to visit her fiance. I have a friend that were denied at her interview horribly because she went to see her fiance only one time, each got interviewed for a hour, visa was denied cause IO thought it was fraudulent.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresVisa Denied - Cairo (Age Difference)

people,PLEASE stop saying age doesnt matter.OBVIOUSLY if you are from MENA or have dealt with MENA men, families or culture you KNOW for a fact age matters.here the younger the woman the better and easier it will be for the man,so yes,age matters,it is unusual for a mena man to go for an older woman.its not nice, and it shouldnt be enough or even close to enough for a CO to deny a case, but thats the reality of it and it makes sense.

Haven't you realized that people that keep saying age doesn't matter, are either new members or members from more liberal countries, not only MENA countries but The Caribbean for example, in country such Haiti its highly unusual for a young man to marry an older woman specially if she's past child bearing age. Haven't you wonder why the Consulate told the OP's fiance to marry an Egyptian woman instead.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresVisa Denied - Cairo (Age Difference)

I was not objecting or complaining about what happened that is why I ask for help what is the next best thing to do. Age gap makes no difference in the situation we are in. I know him for four years saw him three times in that four years every year. Visit is for three and two weeks since i am still working. I already ask my fiancee to write everything he remembers questions ask and I will write the consulate in Egypt.

Sorry if my disappointment have bothered people. I know that u mean well. Hopefully I can resolve this without no more problems. Thank you for the reply constructive or not i still like some ideas what is the next thing to do for my love one.

Age gap makes a difference specially if its highly unusual for young male to marry an older female in Egypt's culture, because this is why you started the topic, denied (age difference), for some reason you keep answering the same thing when asked what the actual age difference between you and your fiance, you need to understand that when dealing with US Embassy, you don't have the presumption of innocent, they just didn't believe that there was a legit relationship between you and your fiance, and for that simple reason your fiance's visa was denied. So to get better guidance from experienced members here, you need to give your actual age gap between you and him, (10,15,20,30). There has been similar cases but at the end the couple ended being approved, to compare your case with others they need to know age gap.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresVisa Denied - Cairo (Age Difference)

The difference in our age does not matter in this situation as we both care and love for each other. My problem is when a man is older than a woman they approved their visa but when it comes to a woman why they do not approve. I do not look like my age and he do not look young either he is 27 and more mature than any man i have meet.. My question now is WHAT IS THE NEXT THING TO DO...

Whats the age difference between you and your fiance, the next things to do is get married and apply for a spouse visa, get ready to spend lots of time in Egypt, front load your next petition with proof of relationship. and don't even bother appealing the k1 decision, it'll take forever plus they've already suspect your fiance just want to use you to come here. So the best thing is to get married to prove them wrong. This is not an "innocent until proven guilty process".

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresTourist Visa denied then K1 Fiance visa!! MENA
Although tourist visa and k1 are totally different visa but both are non-immigrant visa, your three previous tourist visa denial might raised some serious concerns on top of the religious concern. They might even think you just want to move to the US because you've applied too many times and denied. And the reason for these denial may impact your k1 visa.

Be prepare for a lot of questions, Spouse visa would have been the best route in your case. Good luck

CONGRATS!

I am mailing my I-129F packet on Monday too. I'm actually putting together the package tonight and just came online to double check my stuff too!

I might have to save your name and see how your process goes. I didn't actually live with my fiancee overseas and I have never lived in her country, so I might have a harder time :( But it sounds like your proof of the relationship is pretty solid and the rest is all just going to be paperwork.

Good luck!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI screwed up my I-129F. Please HELP!

I would save your money and wait for an RFE that will probably never come. Read carefully, the part of the I-130 instructions that refers to G325a forms and you'll see that except for the name and signature, no information that's already on the I-130 form needs to be repeated on the g325a. I don't recommend this practice but it's OK. Chances are, they'll figure out which G325a is for the foreigner and which is for the US Citizen.

Thanks. I thought I had seen somewhere that I did not need to fill out the information twice, and I could have sworn that I saw the statement about duplicate information as well. When I pulled the example of the G-325a form a few weeks back, the rows at the top were not filled out and thus I didn't do it....Probably my fault for not being thorough enough but I wanted to fill everything out exactly as the guides had it (funny enough I look today and the G-325a example has the top two rows filled out again).

I guess I will just wait and see what happens. If they do deny it or send an RFE, do they just email me? Call me? Or send a letter?

EDIT - Kind of a sigh of relief - I did find the instructions that say we do not need to duplicate anything except name and signature. We put our signature and names at the bottom of the form, but not the top. Hopefully it will suffice.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI screwed up my I-129F. Please HELP!
I'm in somewhat of a predicament...

On both the G-325a's that I submitted in my packet, I realized that the copies I sent were only halfway filled out. They were signed of course (original signatures) and they had the work history and location history but we left off our names at the top, and birthdates (basically the top 2 rows of the form).

I'm hitting my head against a wall that I did this. I'm going to contact my girlfriend in Moldova today and try to Western Union some money to her and have her fill out a new form and DHL it back to me. Should take about a week to get here, but it's probably going to cost me $200.

I only sent in my form on Monday and have yet to get my NOA1 (I'm guessing that will come on Monday/Tuesday of next week).

Anyone have any advice or experience with this? What will happen?

CSC seems to be catching up a little bit. And I've heard spring apps go quicker than ones submitted in the summer or fall. SO it's a good time to have your app in.

Regardless, it's out of your control at this point. It could be 3 months or 7. Who knows. Just be ready when they do approve your app and be ready to respond to any RFE they give ya.

Wait to see if you get a RFE first before doing anything emotional with the lawyer fees.

You're getting worked up about something that may not be an issue. You never know. I've seen people with scanned documents (where they were supposed to be originals) get approved. It all depends on who the person is that's reviewing your file.

I am going to visit my fiancee in April, and we will hopefully be getting a NOA2 sometime in June/July. It will be my last time seeing her before she hopefully comes to the US.

I wanted to sit down with her and fill out the forms in advance - which forms are necessary? I already know the Support of Affadavit, but are there others that we can work on in advance? I want the paperwork as close to complete as possible when we get our NOA2.

Thanks...

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresgetting married with a 18 years old US citizen? suspicious?
In the US the age of consent for marriage is 18 (I think in some states it may actually even be 16). That's the law and opinions don't matter.

Immigration could have reservations about the age gap, but there's lots of 80 year old guys marrying 20 year old filipinos, so I don't think your age gap is going to be an issue. I'm 36 and my gf is 24. Just have proof of the relationship.

A letter signed/dated from her parents might even go a long way if you included it in the package.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresDo you guys know what it takes so long?
Fraud is definitely a consideration.

I don't know the whole process, but the Immigration Dept's sole reason for being isn't to hurry up and process your K1 Visa. They have a responsibility to all people in the US to protect the borders. In order to do it, they probably do need time.

I'm frustrated by the 5-6 month wait, but if it makes our country safer then I can understand.

Here's an interesting read for all....

http://www.oig.dhs.g...12-24_Jan12.pdf

This review was conducted just this year, and explains the pressures of getting K1's processed vs. protecting the US borders from fraud and other threats.
